Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Commercial Manager to oversee the sales and profit performance of a collection of retail shops. This position plays a crucial role in driving the commercial success of our retail shops by developing effective sales strategies, managing stock, optimising merchandising, and leading a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer service. Role Responsibilities
Sales and Profit
• Support Shop Managers to maximise each shop’s sales and profit potential.
• Oversee the delivery of Gift Aid targets throughout the area, driving Gift Aid signups and conversion rates, and ensuring shops are actively promoting the scheme.
• Conduct data analysis to review the commercial layout of each shop including department and category mix.
• Understand and implement commercial actions to deliver against strategic KPIs.
• Responsible for ensuring that all merchandise is clearly priced and monitor pricing levels to achieve maximum sales in accordance with pricing policies.
• Ensure shops have a high standard of display, cleanliness and tidiness, and that they project a quality retail image.

Stock Management
• Ensure compliance with efficient and commercially successful stock processing systems (such as pricing, quality standards, consumer safety, stock density, sizing, and culling stock).
• Ensure that all legal and internal regulations regarding donated stock are adhered to.
• Collaborate with warehouse team to ensure effective stock movement.
• Work closely with the warehouse and stock partnerships teams to ensure sufficient levels of warehouse, rotation and corporate donated stock.
• Work closely with the ecommerce team to ensure key products generate maximum income via the best channel, delivering P&L sales targets.
• To monitor stock management and fast-tracking on to shop floor.
Customer Service
• Lead and inspire the team to place a positive customer experience at the heart of our approach to attract new and loyal supporters and repeat donors.

Team Management
• Ensure that shops have correct level of cover throughout the year, ensuring cover when and where necessary for annual leave, sickness or vacancies.
• Coordinate and facilitate meetings with shop managers for the purpose of training, communication and planning.
• Role model and promote effective team communication, celebrating success and sharing best practice.

Supporting the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand in embedding and developing our Business Partnering model. A major part of the role will be enabling the integration of Mass Fundraising activity into the wider communications plan to enhance results from our communications.
You’ll guide the planning process for projects and campaigns to grow fundraising revenue, support our community and improve outcomes for all men affected by and at risk of prostate cancer.

This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Derby to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge and outreach services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.
The post holder will provide line management and high-quality support to the direct reports in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors.
Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting. The ability to tailor the tone of content for various platforms and to appeal to a wide range of audiences, both locally, London wide and nationally will be important.
The desire to learn new skills will be strongly evident in this person, they will relish the thought of collaborating with colleagues to grow their expertise and to share ideas on how to optimise delivery across the digital and social media space. Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail, this person will be a strategic thinker with the ability to plan ahead and to spot opportunities further down the line to maximise the impact and reach of charity’s work. A working knowledge of WordPress and website management will be very useful but not essential.
Above all, this person will be an enthusiastic, ambitious and collaborative team player, who thrives in an office-based environment where they will be able to exchange ideas with other team members, celebrate success and ensure the overall charitable aims of the organisation and its community of grantees are met.
