Working Pattern: Must include core hours on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and times when interaction with members of wider team is possible.

Work Location: Remote (If located in West of Scotland – hybrid work also available)

Job Information: The Finance Assistant will provide efficient and accurate support by inputting financial records, ensuring smooth financial operations and generating and analysing reports using Sage and Excel. This is an excellent opportunity for a hard-working colleague to make a difference and further develop skills and experience in charity finance within a supportive and values-driven organisation.

• Location: Ideally based in the Highlands but the post holder can be based anywhere.

• Workplace type:  This post can be carried out remotely, desk space is available in Ross and Cromarty Citizens Advice Bureau.

• Hours per week: Hours are flexible. This will be discussed at interview and agreed on appointment.  

• Type of contract: 2 years fixed term with extension if targets are achieved.

• Salary scale: £25,600 per annum plus performance incentive.

Overall job purpose

This is a fundamental role within our North regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer. The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. The Local Community Officer will engage and support communities and volunteers to care for 23 historic churches across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, W. Yorkshire, N. Yorkshire (part), ensuring each site achieves agreed standards.

Key relationships

You will work closely with the Lead Local Community Officer (North), regional and national colleagues, volunteers, community groups and other local stakeholders.
