This is a fundamental role within our North regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer. The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. The Local Community Officer will engage and support communities and volunteers to care for 23 historic churches across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, W. Yorkshire, N. Yorkshire (part), ensuring each site achieves agreed standards.

Role Summary
Are you an experienced project and relationship manager, passionate about changing the food system? You could soon be leading an exciting new programme to make hospital food in the UK healthier and more planet-friendly. You’ll support our Head of Programmes, carrying out a wide range of tasks, including securing new partnerships with hospital trusts, providing advice on menus, managing relationships, and collecting data to measure the impact of the programme. You’ll develop and deliver an effective strategy, starting with a pilot project with one NHS Trust before rolling the strategy out across the country.
Hospital Plates is the sister programme to our successful School Plates programme. Since the launch of School Plates in 2018, we’ve supported over 90 major school caterers, responsible for the food in over 8,000 schools, feeding over 1.3 million children every day, helping almost 50 million school meals become meat-free or plant-based. Our plan is to replicate this scale of impact in the hospital sector, using the experience and insights we’ve gained within schools.
Reporting directly to our Head of Programmes, you’ll also work closely with our School Plates team including our Programme Coordinators and Chef Trainers, as well as our Public Health Lead, Communications Manager, Director, and the rest of our team.
We’re looking for someone to join our team for 3 days a week with the potential for the hours to increase over time.
Job Details

Responsibilities
- Create a clear and effective strategy for delivering impactful menu change in UK hospitals.
- Launch and complete a pilot of the programme, managing the process from the start.
- On successful completion of the pilot, roll out the programme across the rest of the country.
- Conduct outreach to hospital trusts to build a network of contacts, engage new partners, and manage and develop these relationships.
- Coordinate with a range of different stakeholders within hospitals and trusts, including catering teams and nutritionists.
- Collaborate with other organisations in support of healthier and sustainable hospital food.
- Develop a range of resources and templates for hospitals and trusts to support and guide them through the programme.
- Contribute ideas for developing recipes that meet the nutritional guidelines for hospital food.
- Work with the School Plates Awards Coordinator to develop an equivalent menu awards scheme for hospital food.
- Work with our chef trainers to deliver presentations and training to hospital staff, including organising and promoting sessions, liaising with trusts/hospitals and attendees, presenting, and collating feedback.
- Measure the impact of our work for ongoing programme evaluation, supporter communications, and funding proposals.
- Develop an excellent understanding of the hospital food landscape, and the nutritional guidelines for hospital food.
- Update and maintain an accurate database of activity with our partners/hospital trusts.
- Represent ProVeg UK on calls, in meetings, and at events, including some public speaking.
- Work closely with our Communications Manager to produce engaging new content, including video content, for social media, and the website.
- Support the Head of Programmes with any other projects or tasks, as needed.

EduSpots is an innovative, dynamic, and community-driven UK and Ghanaian registered charity which connects, trains, and equips voluntary community educators (named ‘Catalysts’) to drive community-led change through education spaces named ‘Spots’. Our vision is of our world where communities unite to create the futures they want to see, through education.
Since 2016, through collaborating with over 400 local voluntary Catalysts, who take a central leadership role in the development of the network, we have supported 50 communities in creating and running community-led and owned education spaces named ‘Spots’’. Our Ghana-based team creates collaborative learning opportunities through three leadership programmes for Catalysts which are increasingly facilitated by the EduSpots app: the Ignite, Catalyse and Inspire Mentoring Programmes. These enable the Catalysts to lead EduKidz (early years education), DigLit (digital literacy), EcoSTEM (STEM and environmental education) and Ignite Equity (gender equity) clubs for learners typically aged 3-16, alongside locally designed education projects, reaching over 15,000 learners of all ages annually. About this role
We are looking for an engaging and dynamic fundraising specialist and team player with a proven track record of income generation through trusts and foundations, to take on this exciting new role at this exciting point of our organisational growth.
Over the last two years, EduSpots has significantly grown its income through trusts and foundations, and advanced the quality, scope and reach of its operations in Ghana, with further plans for expansion in the years ahead. We are looking for an individual that understands the value of community-led change, with all our work centred on, and resulting from the actions of 400 locally-based educational Catalysts.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take on the responsibility for growing our income generation with a focus on trusts and foundations. We are looking for an experienced individual, who is able to work closely with the CEO to develop larger fundraising partnerships at this exciting point in our development.
Depending on availability and experience, this individual may oversee a small part-time fundraising team, comprising a Fundraising Manager, Trusts and Foundations Manager, and Communications Manager, alongside interns and other income-generation roles that may emerge. The role has the potential to grow into a ‘Head of Fundraising’ position over time.
This is an exciting and flexible opportunity for someone who is passionate about educational equity, and wants to work in a creative, fast-paced and yet friendly team, with huge ambitions for the reach of our unique model for promoting community-led change through a holistic, co-creative and playful model of education.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role are to:
- Lead the development and execution of a global fundraising strategy that focuses on medium-large and multi-year commitments from trusts and foundations, as well as potentially the development of corporate partnerships which align to EduSpots’ values and/or donations from major donors, dependent on experience.
- Work with the CEO, and Ghana-based Heads of Programmes and Head of Operations to develop and write strategic programme and organisational bids, feeding into the wider strategic development of the organisation.
- Create and implement robust policies and procedures for donor identification, cultivation and tracking to ensure efforts are coordinated at a global level and ensure that opportunities to acquire new supporters are fully explored.
- Work with the CEO and boards to identify potential new supporters through their networks, also taking an active role in networking to position EduSpots within key audiences for potential support.
- Work with the CEO and Communications Manager to develop a compelling case for support and a suite of materials for donor engagement that can showcase the importance of EduSpots’ work internationally.
- Create bespoke stewardship plans for existing donors that demonstrate the impact of their support, foster mutual trust and secure renewed support for EduSpots’ work.
- Oversee the organization of EduSpots’ relationships with trusts and foundations, and other major donors, including oversight of reporting, database management and wider communication, working closely with the CEO.
- Monitor and analyse philanthropic trends and best practices to enhance fundraising effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with international fundraising regulations and ethical standards.
- Depending on experience and time availability, manage and mentor a team of fundraising professionals to achieve targets and organisational objectives. This includes an experienced trusts and foundations manager (1 day a week) with a focus on small-medium UK based family trusts, and wider community fundraising and communications roles in the team.

Skills, Experience and Attributes
Essential
- Proven track record of income generation – ideally in a similar education / international development organisation.
- Extensive experience with writing compelling and successful grant applications, with a focus on 5 to 6 figures (GBP) in size.
- Experience of establishing and managing effective relationships with trusts, foundations and grant-makers, and reporting to funds and donors, with strong database management.
- Strong knowledge of a wide range of UK-based funders, as well as of some international (European / US based) funders.
- Strong understanding of programme development and management, ideally in the education context.
- Some experience of communications and marketing in an NGO context is needed; experience of wider fundraising such as corporate partnerships, individual giving and campaigns may be an advantage but is not a requirement for this role.
- Friendly and flexible team player, with an ability to work with people across diverse contexts, inspiring the team and wider colleagues towards achieving our shared goals.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote based role with minimal day-to-day support
- Outstanding interpersonal skills alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advocate for our work online and in person.
- Experience of managing a team would be advantageous though not required for this role.

For the UK's largest not-for-profit social enterprise, we are recruiting a Senior Financial Modelling / Planning Analyst for a 12-month FTC. This role will be key, in developing, implementing, and reviewing complex commercial bids and acquisitions and modelling long-term contracts. This role will review and support other work, and will implement modelling best practice and due diligence, advising leaders on value drivers to inform the bidding strategy and financial outlook. Partnering closely with Commercial and Operations, this role will suit someone with a strong data analytics and commercial financial modelling background who has the ability to analyse data, identify trends and engage and influence a range of stakeholders consistently.

Bowel Research UK is looking for an interim Research and Grants Manager to coordinate and evaluate the management of the charity’s research activities. This role covers all aspects of pre- and post-award research management, impact reporting, grant finance management and governance, co-ordination of the Charity’s scientific committees and shaping external scientific communications to supporters and other stakeholders. Additionally, you will foster and maintain strong relationships with researchers, serving as the primary point of contact for engaging with the research community.
The charity has approximately 50 active research grants to the value of in the region of £1.5 million. The Interim Research & Grants Manager will be responsible for managing these.
Bowel Research UK are bringing this role in as an interim position rather than permanent, to support the day-to-day duties whilst this post holder also supports with reviewing the research and grants functionality within the organization, and help senior leadership decide on future requirements. Reporting to the Director of Programme Delivery and working in close collaboration with subject matter experts responsible for the four workstreams of the programme (Advocacy & Policy, Research, Scalability and Construction), your role will be responsible for all aspects of programme management and coordination, reporting and monitoring. You will also work closely with the Fundraising & Partnerships team to support high quality partnerships and strategic relationships.
You will be joining us at a really exciting time as this is a newly established team on an ambitious transformation journey. Job Purpose
To support Habitat for Humanity GB’s (HFHGB) vision of a decent home for everyone, the organisation has recently completed a strategic review, resulting in a new National Strategy and an organisational restructure, to ensure the organisation is able to deliver the Strategy impactfully, efficiently and effectively.
As a result, a new team has been formed, which will focus on developing and delivering high quality programmes in England, Wales and Scotland. The Empty Spaces to Homes (ES2H) Programme Manager will sit within the new Programme Delivery team and will work collaboratively across the organisation and with a large group of diverse external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include the management of HFHGB’s flagship Empty Spaces to Homes programme which aims to provide solutions to Great Britain’s critical affordable housing need through the conversion of empty spaces, including commercial and retail properties, into homes and through researching, advocating and collaborating in coalition with others to foster a wider uptake of the Empty Spaces to Homes approach. The Empty Spaces to Homes Programme Manager will work across the organisation to coordinate and monitor delivery of activities sitting within the programme. They will also collaborative extensively with teams whose work supports or resources the programme. Working with the Director of Programme Delivery, the Programme Manager will also support external events and activities as well as high quality partnerships and strategic relationships.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Programme Management and Coordination:
- Responsible for programme management of the ES2H programme. Working with the Director of Programme Delivery, and with Subject Matter Experts who are responsible for the four workstreams of the programme (Advocacy & Policy, Research, Scalability, Construction).
- Responsible for the development and utilisation of high-quality programme management tools and internal coordination forums, including for programme planning, performance monitoring, communication, internal and external reporting.
- Working with others, support the development of appropriate Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning frameworks.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts, the ES2H Coalition and other partners on the continuous improvement of the ES2H Toolkit, supporting new ideas to fruition, developing content into engaging and appropriate documents and other required communication and programme tools.
- Support Subject Matter Experts and others where appropriate to develop programme and project related reports, to develop proposals and communication content, support impactful partnerships and provide project-related administration capacity.
- Support the Director of Programme Delivery to ensure programme outputs are accessible, inclusive, and culturally sensitive to provide the best possible support to target communities.
External communication and partnership management:
- Support external events and activities as well as high quality partnerships and strategic relationships.
- Work with the Fundraising & Partnerships team to support high quality partnerships and strategic relationships through provision of content for external communication, programme updates and reports, and the maintenance of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning frameworks.
- Lead the coordination of the ES2H Coalition and support the development and management of other programme related networks and groups.
Budget management, reporting and monitoring:
- Support the Director of Programme Delivery to develop the ES2H programme and project budgets.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to monitor and track programme spend, flagging issues and risks, and ensuring regular reports are available for budget holders and the Finance Team.
- Provide regular inputs and updates for relevant sections of the organisational Performance Framework, Risk Register and any other operational requirements.
Person profile:
- Strong experience of programme and project management, coordination and monitoring.
- Experience of working in a similar organisation, collaborating across teams and operating in a highly effective way across a diverse, networked structure.
- Experience of producing impactful content for programme tools and reports, external events, website and other digital platforms.
- Good budget management skills, and a working understanding of Excel.
- Understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning tools and approaches.

- You have excellent communication and engagement skills, and able to work collaboratively and productively with a diverse group of colleagues and stakeholders.
