Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.
Crisis Skylight Oxford is in the Old Fire Station in the centre of the city. It offers one to one coaching support from a team of coaches who can work with people around their housing needs and anything else that will support them to end their homelessness such as mental health and well-being, finances or finding employment. Alongside the coaching we offer practical, creative, and vocational workshops and accredited learning opportunities. The Old Fire Station building also accommodates a range of flexible arts spaces which are run by an independent arts company.
Salary: £29,505 per annum
Contract: 5-month fixed term contract – September 2024 to January 2025
Hours: 21 hours per week, required to be worked over three or four days. To include mornings. Service opening hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.

About the role
As our Events Coordinator you will coordinate our Christmas service in Oxford, which includes running a delivery service, holding a breakfast, and holding Health and well-being days pre and post the Christmas period.

Project Manager: Green Impact
We are excited to be recruiting for a new Project Manager to deliver our national sustainability engagement programme, Green Impact.
ROLE SPECIFICS
Location: Hybrid in London or South-East England
Due to the location of participating Green Impact organisations, this role will be based in London or South-East England, with regular travel throughout the region, as well as some UK-wide travel. We are a primarily home-based organisation, but we have a London office space available to staff.
Working patterns: Fixed term until September 2025, with possibility of extending. 35 hours per week. The role involves weekly UK-wide travel with some early starts and late returns, and up to six overnight stays per year. Homeworkers will be expected to work remotely on a regular basis. Flexible work patterns/ job share opportunities open to negotiation. 0.6FTE to full time opportunities will be considered.
Salary: Starting salary £30,413 per annum plus Inner London Weighting of £3,405 for London-based employees. We provide up to 6% pension contribution, with life assurance for all those in the pension scheme.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are recruiting a Project Manager to primarily deliver our UNESCO award-winning Green Impact engagement and awards programme. Green Impact supports staff and students within organisations to learn about sustainability, and embed it into their day-to-day operations. Green Impact runs in many sectors, with programmes tailored to the sustainability impacts of different workplaces, including universities, healthcare and cultural heritage.
Key responsibilities of the Project Manager include:
- Project manage the successful delivery of the Green Impact programme at a set number of allocated organisations, tailoring delivery according to local needs.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with key people and act as the first point of contact to students and staff at your allocated organisations.
- Plan, design, and deliver engaging training sessions for your allocated organisations as a part of established programmes as well as for bespoke consultancy projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The purpose of this role is to manage all aspects of how Feedback communicates our work to help achieve our strategic goals. This includes centring communities, building our public profile with key audiences including journalists, developing our range of allies, reflecting our understanding of historical injustice in the food system, and fostering an experimentation and learning culture. As Feedback has recently rebranded and changed its name, this role will involve carefully managing the journey of embarking with a new brand.
This role would suit an experienced communications professional who is excited to think deeply about the way communications can support systemic change in the food sector. Experience with managing relationships with journalists and media outlets, identifying and pursuing stories, managing change, and contributing to organisational learning will be important.
Everyone at Feedback is engaged in our journey towards fully embodying the principles of an anti-racist and anti-oppressive organisation, and as Communications Manager you will take the opportunity to think deeply and act on these principles in our approach to communications. b. Fully deliver the roll-out of Feedback’s new brand and its application to every aspect of our communications work.
3. To manage the communications pipeline (approx. 30% of time) by:
a. Acting as a quality control and adviser on all communications outputs from across the team to ensure that form and content are as effective and creative as possible.
b. Thinking and experimenting with the application of our anti-racism and anti-oppressive work to our communications.
c. Managing sub-contractors as necessary to deliver high quality content in a timely manner.

Your main responsibilities will be:
- Designing and implementing policies and practices which put environmental sustainability at the forefront of our business operations; championing environmental sustainability practices across the organisation
- Identifying and delivering business-wide operations efficiencies by refining existing, and establishing new, business policies and processes
- Overseeing the day-to-day management of the office ensuring it is an efficient, safe and pleasant working environment for staff and visitors; liaising with the building management company and the IT service provider; troubleshooting or escalating IT and building-related issues as they arise

In Pakistan, eye health services are an integral part of the government health system, led by the National Committee for Eye Health (NCEH). The NCEH, which includes government and civil society stakeholders such as Sightsavers, has developed the ambitious IPEC plan 2020-2030. This plan highlights the need for strategies targeting disadvantaged communities, including women, the elderly, and people with disabilities. It also recognises the necessity for a comprehensive national refractive error (RE) strategy and a national training programme for opticians.
- Conduct a Mid-Term Review to assess the project's progress, successes, and challenges.
- Conduct primary data collection in the project areas (initial sampling suggests that around 116 individuals should be consulted across the stakeholder groups, although final details can be agreed between Sightsavers and the consultant during inception).
- Evaluate the effectiveness of implementation approaches, including equity strategies, social and behaviour change (SBC) activities, and public-private partnership models.
- Validate initial findings through a workshop with implementing partners.
- Provide recommendations for adjustments to the project and future similar projects.
- Contribute evidence towards answering Sightsavers' thematic learning questions for refractive error.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of activities and high-quality outputs.
- Extensive experience in monitoring and evaluation for international development projects/programmes, with strong skills in both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
- Thematic expertise in eye health evaluations, preferably with experience in refractive error, inclusive health, and primary eye care.
