Purpose of Role:
We opened our Day Centre for older people, adults with disabilities and adults with dementia in October 2021. The Office Manager role is a new position that will provide a wide variety of operational support to the Day Centre Leadership Team as we are embedding and growing our Day Centre offering and increasing the number of clients who attend the Day Centre and the types of services they receive.
We also support older Wandsworth residents in the following groups with outreach in the community and with activities in the Day Centre: BAME; digitally isolated; financially isolated; LGBTQ; socially isolated; women; and those with, or at risk of, mental and/or physical ill health and disabilities.

THE ROLE: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) / Permanent / working onsite Monday to Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm with one late shift per week.

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Supported Housing Manager at Guildford Foyer, our 24 hour supported housing service. The Foyer houses up to 33 young people who have multiple and complex needs, including many who are unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people. In delivering the role, you will be responsible for:
- Service Provision: Supporting the Project Manager with the daily operations of the services so that they meet the requirements of the service specification. Oversee the residents’ referral, interview and induction processes for all beds and ensure the Occupancy Agreements and House Rules are fully understood. Ensure the quality of accommodation that is provided, liaising with the Housing and Property Services Team to complete estate inspections and health & safety risk assessments, and to turn around voids and organise repairs in line with organisational targets and statutory obligations. With the Project Manager ensure effective income collection for all beds, working closely with the Rents Team to create a rent payment culture.
- Leadership and People Management: Directly line managing team members and supporting the Project Manager in recruiting and inducting new staff. Ensuring the team is adequately trained and empowered to work effectively and creatively with our young people to enable them to achieve their aspirations and ambitions.
- General: Be a member of the ‘on call’ rota to provide out of hours management support to projects in the wider locality. Reflect Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs), Trauma Informed approaches and restorative practices.

You will already have experience working in supported housing, or similar services for young people and/or adults at risk, as well as managing and/or supervising a team. You will have good communication and facilitation skills and the ability to successfully manage challenging situations whilst remaining calm and solution focused. You will have experience of overseeing safeguarding procedures for young people or adults at risk in residential settings, and knowledge of how to maintain professional boundaries.

About you
You will:
- Have an in-depth knowledge of cerebral palsy, its causes, health implications, therapies, and available support due to a personal lived experience.
- Have experience and up to date knowledge of current issues that affect disabled people and those around them, specifically people with cerebral palsy.
- Have at least two years’ experience working in a customer focused environment.
- Have excellent communication skills with an understanding of different needs and being able to respond to these accordingly.
- Have a strong ability to convey complex information in an accessible way and engage diverse audiences.
- Be an excellent communicator who demonstrates effective person-centred listening, empathy, and probing skills to respond to underlying issues and assist customers to make informed choices.
- Be highly organised with the capacity to prioritise workloads effectively by using your own initiative. Ability to engage groups of people and individuals on the subject of cerebral palsy and disability.
- Have direct experience of the barriers that society creates for disabled people. Bringing drive and enthusiasm to the role, demonstrating that you care passionately about improving the lives of disabled people.

About the role:
This role is based at Lancaster Police Station. This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. As an IDVA working on Operation Provide you will:
- Work with the Police safeguarding team to identify high risk victims of domestic abuse.
- Check internal systems to check if victims are known or open to internal services and liaise with same.
- Conduct joint visits with the police to victims who are at serious risk of harm to provide independent information about their rights and options to enable them to keep safe from harm.

Right now, our Croft House Supported Housing service in Surrey is looking for Recovery Workers to support the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community. That’s why we need you to inspire and support them to lead their own recovery. So, whether it’s helping to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations, developing domestic and finance management skills or accessing work, leisure or educational opportunities, your empathy, enthusiasm, and compassion will have every chance to shine.
Entering accurate case notes onto our IT system will be important too. And, when it comes to regularly liaising with GP surgeries, the local council, charities etc. or promoting the service within the community, again, we'll count on you.

On 1st June 2024, Richmond Fellowship, part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence merged with Humankind to form a single organisation that provides the joined-up mental health, housing and drug and alcohol support we’ve all known has been needed for decades. In October 2024, Humankind will be renamed to reflect the new organisation.
About the role
For the past five years, Platform’s fossil free work has focused on the coordination of the activist network UK Divest, with the aim to disrupt the financing of the fossil fuel industry through local government pension schemes. In the past two years, the remit of our work has expanded, to include new campaigns focused on exposing and disrupting fossil fuel industry sportswashing and the lobbying of Parliament. Now, with new campaigning underway on new targets in the pension sector, we are re-organising and growing our team to resource this exciting work.
Working alongside three Fossil Free Campaigners at Platform - and partners at Friends of the Earth Scotland - you will build on the strengths and learnings of past years to lead the strategic development of this important programme of work, incorporating UK Divest, Fossil Free Parliament, fossil free sports work, and new pensions work.
Our fossil free campaign is also inextricably tied to other movements for social justice. We are specifically seeking someone to develop the international solidarity potential of this work, understanding how fossil fuels are intertwined with the defence industry, colonialism, and global extraction more broadly. We want to target investment in and political support for fossil fuel companies because we believe it is intricately linked to broader global justice, such as the UK Government’s role in supporting destructive energy projects worldwide. The best divestment and anti-fossil fuel campaigning has been, and your future work will be, informed by and responsive to the BDS movement, the Global Energy Embargo for Palestine and anti-apartheid and arms trade work.
As a permanent member of Platform staff, you will also participate in the collective decision-making and running of Platform as an organisation, as well as having fundraising responsibilities alongside your project work.

Ideally, you also have a working understanding of how financial institutions such as pension schemes support the fossil fuel industry.
You are deeply motivated by Platform’s visions and values, and feel enthusiastic at the prospect of operating within a flat-structured organisation. You have a strong understanding of climate justice in relation to a wider context of capitalism and white supremacy.
You are interested in creative campaigning that makes use of arts and culture, and have a strong track record of developing trusting relationships. You have experience engaging with press media in a strategic way.

Job purpose
The Safe Haven Deputy Manager’s role is to be part of the Safe Haven management team and jointly ensure effective delivery of high-quality service for adults experiencing mental health crisis in Oxfordshire. The postholder will be required to independently lead a safe and effective shift and offer crisis mental health support for people presenting in mental health crisis including assessing risks, facilitating re-focusing activities, and conducting one-to-one support sessions on the phone and face to face focusing on person-centred listening, grounding, safety planning and exploring coping strategies. The Deputy Manager will lead on shift handovers and provide support to staff on day-to-day activities as well as provide one-to-one supervision for their direct reports.
The team takes part in handovers, one to one supervision and complex case discussions to aid their ability to reflect, learn and support Safe Haven service users within the remit of the service.

Byddwch chi, ein swyddog gwybodaeth newydd, yn gweithio’n rhan amser ac o’ch cartref i ddarparu gwybodaeth a chymorth hanfodol i deuluoedd sydd â phlant anabl yng Nghymru. Byddwch yn eu helpu i addasu a dod dros yr Argyfwng Costau Byw a’r Pandemig, yn rhan o’n Prosiect Datblygu Gwytnwch newydd, ar draws gwahanol ranbarthau yng Nghymru.
Yr hyn yr ydym ni’n chwilio amdano
- Gwybodaeth a phrofiad o weithio gyda theuluoedd sydd â phlant anabl yng Nghymru, a’u cefnogi.
- Gwybodaeth a phrofiad da o waith yn ymwneud â gwybodaeth – penodol i Gymru
- Profiad o ymchwilio i wybodaeth a chydweithio ar greu newyddlenni, e-fwletinau, tudalennau gwefan, cyhoeddiadau.
- Sgiliau trefnu a gweinyddol rhagorol, ynghyd â sgiliau digidol.
- Gwybodaeth a phrofiad o’r materion a’r pryderon sy’n effeithio ar deuluoedd sydd â phlant anabl e.e. darpariaeth hamdden, addysg a gofal seibiant.
- Gallu gweithio’n effeithiol gydag eraill yn rhan o dîm

Gellir gwneud y rôl hon o gartref o unrhyw le yng Nghymru, ond byddai’n well gennym ymgeiswyr sy’n byw yn y siroedd hyn: Wrecsam, Sir y Fflint, Sir Ddinbych, Conwy, Gwynedd, Powys, Casnewydd, Sir Fynwy a Chaerdydd.
Croesewir ceisiadau gan rieni sy’n ofalwyr sydd â phrofiad o ofalu am blentyn sydd ag anabledd neu gyflwr meddygol ac sydd eisiau camu’n ôl i gyflogaeth am dâl.
