Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities
This is an excellent opportunity to take on an exciting role within the Humanitarian Team of the Programme & Policy Department/Programme Management Team.
We are looking for someone with a good understanding of policies and practices managing projects with the FCDO and DEC. A good grasp of programme and financial management combined with an ability to provide distance support to Country Offices and partners.
The Humanitarian Programme Manager is responsible for the overall management for a portfolio of programmes across the programme management lifecycle from the contracting stage to close out. The successful candidate leads the relationship with donors, working with country offices and technical teams to ensure programmes are delivered in line with CARE International strategies and procedures, and in compliance with donor requirements. Specific areas of responsibilities include programme quality, accountability, relationship management, impact reporting and knowledge management, compliance and risk management. About you
The team is looking for a talented individual to support our portfolio projects through excellent contract and finance management. We are excited to be recruiting a Philanthropy Manager to join our Fundraising Team. This is a new role which will be instrumental in setting us up well to grow income from major donors over the coming years. Refugee Council is a leading charity supporting refugees and people seeking asylum to rebuild their lives in safety here in the UK. Providing practical, hands on support, their award winning services include welcoming refugees into local communities across the country, providing specialist children’s services – with a particular focus on refugee children who arrive here alone, helping people to navigate the asylum system, and supporting people to access housing and employment. This role will be a critical part of the Philanthropy & Partnerships management team and represents a brilliant opportunity to support the growth and development of our major donor, trust and statutory and corporate partnerships portfolios.

We are looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to support the Head of Membership Engagement in the overall development and delivery of commercial revenue streams at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. This will include all current sponsorship for conferences, including our flagship Fundraising Convention, corporate membership, and strategic partnerships.
Job purpose:
- Recruiting, retaining, and developing corporate members.
- Identifying and securing new sponsors and exhibitors for the Chartered Institute’s event business, including one-day conferences, webinars, and Fundraising Convention.
- To identify, secure, and nurture long-term strategic partnerships.
Key Accountabilities
- Work and support the Head of Membership Engagement across the following income streams:
- Fundraising Convention: Responsible for the overall management of expo – planning, sales and invoicing;

About the role
The University of London is embarking on a major fundraising campaign to transform Senate House Library. The Development Office, and specifically the Philanthropy Manager, will play a crucial role in maximising the effectiveness and impact of the Library Transformation Campaign.
