As a member of the UK Policy and Advocacy team, this role will be responsible for leading our policy work focusing on early childhood health and wellbeing. Working closely with colleagues across the Advocacy and Programmes Departments, the role will be expected to develop and deliver an effective influencing strategy, based on robust evidence and persuasive policy asks that help protect and promote the physical and mental health and wellbeing of babies and young children living in the UK. You’ll be joining at an exciting time for our team as we adapt our Early Moments Matter Campaign to the context of influencing and engaging with a new Government.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have an in-depth understanding of policy-making processes and how to develop effective influencing strategies, excellent research and writing skills and a good understanding of the policy context of early childhood health and/or other UK child wellbeing topic area.

We are looking to recruit HOPELINE247 Advisors to provide individually tailored suicide prevention advice and guidance to young people and those who are concerned for them via our national multi-channel helpline HOPELINE247 and deliver suicide prevention training online and in community settings across the UK.
What you will do:
Work as part of a team providing suicide prevention support to a range of clients via multichannel communication platforms.
Work on a 7-day shift system including evening and weekends
Use professional judgement to assess the needs of the service users who present with risk to life and manage and report any matters related to safeguarding.
Maintain accurate records and input data monitoring into the data base system.
Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practise.
Provide training, mentoring and coaching to new recruits.
To be successful in this role you will have:
a degree or professional qualification in Health or Social Care, Community Work or a related discipline
previous experience of working in an advisory capacity in suicide prevention or mental health
a proven record of working directly with vulnerable young people
experience of providing advice and guidance via multiple communication channels
the ability to empathise, support and build rapport with suicidal people and those who care about them, remaining non-judgemental and adhering to the remit of the service

You will be a Mental Health Deputy Manager who is passionate about supporting MAC-UK’s objective of working collaboratively with young people, innovating services and systems and their approach to mental health, to address health and social inequalities. We aim to support services to be more accessible, flexible and responsive to excluded groups, and to change the systems that lead to and maintain inequality. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to apply their proven management and therapeutic skills alongside the area of social action.
We are very excited to be part of a pilot service, new in England working as part of a consortium of four organisations, alongside Lambeth Council. This will be a residential support service for young people aged 16-24 years at risk of serious youth violence, who are already caught up in the criminal justice system and at high risk of remaining part of the system. You will be working across three London properties alongside a large multi-agency staff team made up of experts by experience/profession in psychology and therapy; youth work; offending; education, training, and employment (ETE) and housing. The service will work creatively and holistically to enable young people to exit environments involving youth violence, identify and reach their goals and aspirations, move on successfully to appropriate independent living, and importantly to sustain this life. Wherever possible staff and young people will co-produce what this service looks like and what activities the young people engage in.

About the Role
MSI provides services via our Outreach, Public Sector Strengthening and MSladies channels to underserved and marginalised communities. In MSI we call these “Pillar1, Leave no-one behind channels”. These channels are the core of our high impact delivery (high impact clients, adolescents, those living in poverty).
Specifically, the role is accountable for: 1) engaging and representing MSI in sector dialogue relating to Pillar 1 to contribute to sector learning, influence and impact; 2) development of pillar 1 operational best practices that can be cascaded across MSI countries to further improve impact; 3) developing MSI overarching “Leave no-one behind” strategy and leading testing of new models of service delivery
The Director is a member of the Senior Leadership Team of MSI and is a member of the Technical Services Team. This role reports to the VP & Director of the Technical Services Department. There is a high level of interaction with MSI’s Executive Team, Regional Directors Fundraising team. It is a full-time role, based out of London or core countries where MSI has an operating entity, with possibility of remote work for exceptional candidates. - You should possess a comprehensive understanding of SRHR guidelines, policies, and best practices on a global scale. Your knowledge should span across short-acting and long-acting contraception methods, safe abortion practices, and strategies for reaching adolescents and marginalized communities. A strong background in health system strengthening is crucial, including familiarity with different health system frameworks and how they contribute to overall system performance.
- Significant technical experience at an advisory level in SRHR. Have designed and produced best practice guidelines or training materials related to SRHR best practices, and operations, especially in remote service delivery, SRHR in the public sector; or in reaching adolescents. An understanding of global and regional SRHR trends, as well as awareness of the latest research and evidence-based practices, will be invaluable in this role.
- Strategic acumen: We're seeking a strategic thinker who can translate complex data into actionable insights. You should be adept at identifying unmet consumer needs and market gaps, and able to develop compelling strategies that align with our broader business objectives. The main purpose of this role is to provide energy advice to householders by telephone and email. You will be expected to provide information to help householders and clients access the appropriate support while maintaining accurate and detailed records of all interactions with clients.

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- To work on the advice line and/or other telephone advice projects making and receiving calls from people who may need help with energy related issues.
- To record client details and use knowledge to assess help and support needed.
- To refer clients onto other support organisations in their area as appropriate.
- To identify energy improvements that can be made to clients’ properties and refer to installers who can fit them.
- To help vulnerable clients make applications for grants and switch energy tariffs where appropriate.
- To listen attentively to callers (some of whom may be in distress) and respond to their needs in an empathetic way.
- To be familiar with and adhere to advice line protocol, processes and procedures.

We have a wide portfolio of campaigns that sit closely with teams across the whole organisation and you will work closely alongside internal stakeholders – all of which require excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills. You will need to be comfortable managing several campaigns simultaneously as well as enjoy looking for fresh ways to deliver long-standing campaigns.

About the Project
Herts Mind Network (HMN) has formed a partnership with Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) to deliver a one-to-one outreach service for people who are in hospitals across Hertfordshire.
This is a new dual diagnosis arm of the project based at Lister Hospital working in A&E departments and hospital wards facilitating hospital discharge for people with a mental health and/or drugs and alcohol need.
About the Role:
The Bounce Back Worker will be based at Lister Hospital and HMN Centres, promoting joint working between Lister Hospital staff and HMN, creating a seamless pathway into community support for clients recovering from mental ill health.
The aims of the Bounce Back service are; to provide up to 16 sessions of emotional and practical support, advice and information to patients. We will visit patients on the ward and continue the sessions in the local community and in patients homes once discharged. We will facilitate a smooth and timely hospital discharge.
The Bounce Back Worker will work with the HMN Community Outreach Teams and the hospital staff to ensure patients are offered advice, information, and holistic support. The Bounce Back worker will use a recovery orientated approach working with patients on the ward, and in the local community, including in people’s homes. The recovery approach includes empathy, warmth, acceptance, authenticity, compassion and humanity.
Key Responsibilities
- To receive referrals from the ward teams at Lister Hospital and other appropriate hospitals across Hertfordshire.
- To manage and prioritise all administration tasks associated with the service.
- To build strong relationships with staff at Lister Hospital and Mental Health Teams across Hertfordshire.
- To work in partnership with other agencies.
- To establish a strong presence on the ward, working at the hospital when required.
- Ensure a direct community service is in place which encourages, motivates and builds patients self-esteem and confidence. This will include goal setting and support with social and practical skills development.
- To assist patients to access appropriate services and community resources within the local community, accompanying patients to attend appointments where this aids ongoing recovery.
- To work with key staff within the hospital to ensure that vulnerable person’s cases are monitored and risks evaluated.
- To work with HMN staff in other services in order to make onward referrals to other projects.
- Liaise with appropriate HPFT staff to ensure that individuals are assessed for personal budgets to support with any longer term needs.
- Support individuals to develop sustainable local social networks, both through our HMN Wellbeing Centres and other community services and resources.

What you will do:

· Work on a 7-day shift system including evening and weekends
