The Peer Support Coordinator will play a critical role in the delivery of Day One's Peer Support Service. The primary objectives are to ensure a high-quality service is delivered to our beneficiaries; to develop our regional peer support model; and to facilitate a positive volunteering experience for our lived experience volunteer team. Responsibilities will include the day-to-day coordination of peer support activity. This will involve sensitive communication with trauma-affected individuals to understand their needs and preferences, using this information to facilitate suitable peer support matches.
The postholder will contribute to building a diverse volunteer team by supporting the volunteer recruitment and induction processes. They will offer ongoing support, guidance and motivation to our volunteers, ensuring meaningful opportunities to engage with Day One. The postholder will support the Peer Support Manger to conduct regular reviews with volunteers to gather feedback on their experiences as well as supporting their personal and professional development.
The Peer Support Co-ordinator will monitor service delivery and volunteer activity to ensure it is operating within agreed policies and processes. To ensure we can evidence the success and quality of the service, a key aspect of the role will involve keeping accurate records of interventions as well as collecting regular evaluation/impact data and personal case studies.
You will be a compassionate individual, dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of support for our beneficiaries and volunteers alike. You will be empathic with strong active listening skills, able to demonstrate sensitivity and discretion in your communication with trauma-affected individuals. You will be adept at identifying individual’s support needs and have strong social/communication skills enabling you to facilitate appropriate and meaningful peer support matches. Possessing excellent organisational skills, you will thrive in the fast-paced and reactive environment of peer support service delivery.
You will be committed to maintaining high standards and have a keen eye for detail able to keep accurate records of interventions and collect evaluation/impact data with regularity. Additionally, you will have a proactive approach to building and supporting a diverse volunteer team. You will be a ‘people-person’, enjoy speaking with others, and have the knowledge and confidence to offer ongoing guidance and motivation to our volunteer team. Your ability to conduct regular reviews to gather feedback to support volunteers' personal and professional development will be essential in driving the continued success of our peer support service. You will enjoy supporting others to develop new skills and navigate challenges successfully.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION
LGBTQ+ Project Worker (Supported Housing)
This role provides support to LGBTQ+ people who are living in Stonewall Housing supported accommodation or in the community. The goal is to help people prepare for independent living in their own tenancies. People usually stay with us for 6 – 18 months and the project worker will meet with each resident to assess their needs and agree goals which will help them achieve independence. The Project Worker then puts together a support plan and meets regularly with residents to provide support, challenge and encouragement as they make their journey.
Collaborating closely with our housing providers, our project worker will actively develop fresh partnerships within the local community to enhance the support and services available to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
· To provide a high quality, flexible and responsive support service to LGBTQ+ people, supporting them for independent living or suitable alternative housing through the provision of 1-1 support sessions and group work.
· To assess the individual needs of each person and provide a bespoke support plan.
· To ensure that effective service user participation mechanisms are in place.
· To ensure a high level of customer care and practice at all times.
· To develop links with relevant external agencies.
· To work 2.5 days per week in Newham and 2.5 days per week in Ealing, working flexibly across both sites with a total of 12 residents.
Main Duties of the Post
Support Sessions
· To give holistic support to LGBTQ+ people accessing our supported accommodation service and to provide proactive support to these service users who are sometimes hard to engage.
· To meet service users regularly to provide structured support, in relation to LGBTQ+ and Housing specific issues, such as gender identity pathways, mental health services, health issues, safeguarding, liaising with the professional network.
· To work with LGBTQ+ people accessing supported accommodation to develop and review individual support plans and risk assessments.
· To liaise with other service providers ensuring service users receive the necessary support to sustain their accommodation, acquire relevant independent living skills, maintain or improve positive physical and mental health and access into meaningful occupation of their time.
Financial Support
· To assist service users in maximising and managing their income including universal credit, ESA, PIP and Housing Benefit.
Semi-independent Living Support
· To work with service users to enable them to develop the life and social skills necessary to sustain their accommodation and prepare them for independent living.
· To assess individual service user’s suitability for independent accommodation.
· To act quickly to manage incidents and to advise, support and assist service users unable to maintain supported accommodation into more appropriate housing options.
Resettlement
· To support service users in the completion of application forms necessary to support move-on housing, including the private rented sector.
· To ensure that all service users are provided with information about local services whilst in supported accommodation and during their move on.
· To ensure all service users are fully aware of their rights and responsibilities in their home.
· To work with housing providers, both public and private, to negotiate move on options.
Groupwork, Consultation and Participation
· To work as part of a team in developing user participation.
· To identify and develop appropriate and flexible processes for consulting with our service users, via social media platforms, newsletters, events and workshops.
· To devise innovative and creative ways of involving LGBTQ+ people in the running of the schemes with an independent approach.
· Supporting our residents to participate in group and peer support and to access online support mechanisms.
· Facilitating and promoting an LGBTQ+ group work programme.
Other Duties

Essential Experience
· Lived experience, or experience of working with homeless people or vulnerable LGBTQ+ people, in a voluntary or paid employment setting.

· Knowledge and understanding of the causes and effects of homelessness, particularly in relation to LGBTQ+ people.

Job Summary
CAAS provide an ADHD and Autism Support Service for the 8 boroughs of NW London, from our base in Eastcote, with a team of Support Workers. Our work includes offering information, advice, and support to ADHD / autistic people, their families, and professionals in NW London, with the aim of improving quality of life and developing neurodiverse-aware communities. Some of the support is offered through one2one meetings, some of the support is provided through groups and courses which aim to increase understanding and awareness, and provide opportunities for peer support, and some of the support is offered through training and workshops to educate professionals and drive for accommodations to be made to services to allow greater access for our client group.
The Family Team Lead will assist the Family Service Manager in overseeing the operational running and leadership and management of our Family Team at our centre in Eastcote.
The Family Team Lead will be responsible for the line management of some of our Family Support Workers, as well as the direct delivery of services, including being the lead facilitator on some of our parenting courses. As such, we are looking for a friendly, organised and hard-working individual. The role requires strong administrative skills, excellent communication skills and a drive to ensure everyone who seeks support from us has the best possible experience. If you’re passionate about supporting neurodivergent people and their families, then this is an ideal opportunity for you.
There is no requirement for any experience of, or understanding of, autism / ADHD, as we will provide training on the conditions. This role will best suit someone who is very organised, who is able to task switch easily between line management, project management, client facing support work, group facilitation, course content creation and strategic and operational planning activities, and who is able to interact with a high number of clients and staff each week in order to ensure the sufficient number of appointments are provided to meet our funder requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess experience working with vulnerable individuals and demonstrate confidence, composure during crises, quick thinking, and adaptability. A genuine acceptance of diversity and a keenness to learn are essential.

Rainbow Migration, the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system, is recruiting a Legal Officer to advise and help improve the representation of LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and help change the asylum and immigration system to one that treats everyone with compassion, dignity and respect.
We are looking for a qualified solicitor or barrister with valid practising certificate, or already accredited to Level 3 OISC, with two years’ experience in providing advice and representation in asylum including working in legal aid.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the legal advice service. Under the guidance of our Legal Service Manager, you will also build capacity amongst legal representatives by designing and delivering training, giving second tier advice and developing and coordinating a network of practitioners working in this area. You will use the knowledge you gain in this role to help deliver Rainbow Migration’s policy work, such as inputting into policy papers and meeting with partner organisations when required.
We will also consider applications from people who do not want to do the policy elements of the job, but to instead focus on first and second tier advice. Please mention in your covering letter if you are applying for this option.

· Work with the Legal Service Manager to design and deliver training to lawyers, NGOs and other professionals

The Legal Officer will not be providing direct legal representation of service users. However, the role includes substantive advice and casework within the scope of legal support and referrals for our service users, as well as merits testing and second tier advice.

Role Overview
Location: We have an office in Kingston Upon Thames, greater London. Flexible and hybrid working is offered to all staff.
Hours: 35 hours per week (including paid half-hour lunch break)
Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 per annum permanent
Leave: 26 days per annum plus bank holidays

As the CEO of Refugee Action Kingston, you'll lead our organisation in supporting refugees and people seeking asylum in south west London to lead fulfilled and independent lives. Your responsibilities will include:
Strategic leadership

Developing and implementing annual plans aligned with our strategy, in collaboration with the Board of Trustees, to achieve desired outcomes.

Maintaining efficient systems for the charity's operations, ensuring good governance and financial sustainability.

Overseeing all aspects of organisational management including finances, resources, services, and communications, in cooperation with trustees.
Governance and organisational management

Working closely with trustees to direct and deliver RAK's objectives according to the charity's strategy.

Leading and supporting the RAK team to fulfil objectives, emphasising client needs, monitoring outcomes, and integrating learning into operations.

Ensuring compliance with governance requirements, supporting board responsibilities, and contributing to trustee meetings and reporting.
Financial management and human resources

Ensuring effective financial management, leading finance and project management teams to maintain controls, preparing reports, and managing spending within budget.

Developing organisational structure and processes for positive people and service management, adhering to legislation and quality standards.

Fostering a healthy working culture that encourages staff and volunteers to excel, contribute ideas, and embrace diversity.
Fundraising

Developing and executing RAK's fundraising strategy, exploring new avenues to diversify funding sources.

Collaborating with RAK’s fundraiser to cultivate relationships with funders, submitting funding bids, and providing reporting.

Focus on growing unrestricted funds to reduce reliance on grants.
Advocacy and influencing

Cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders to amplify the impact of RAK's work.

Advocating for the needs of our clients to local authorities, healthcare providers, and other relevant agencies.

Maintaining an effective advice and advocacy service, meeting quality standards (AQS & OISC) and regulatory requirements.

Person specification
Essential criteria
- Leadership and change management: proven track record of leading client-focused services, driving strategic development, and managing change effectively.
- Project and programme management: experience in creating and delivering complex projects aligned with strategic objectives.
- Fundraising expertise: understanding of fundraising importance in the charitable sector, with a history of successful and innovative fundraising initiatives.
- Digital proficiency: ability to harness digital tools so that roles are carried out efficiently and competently.
- Financial management: track record of managing budgets and contracts effectively.
- Analytical skills: experience in complex report writing and data analysis.
- Cultural awareness and commitment to EDI: a track record in promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, specifically in the context of working with refugees and people seeking asylum.
- Team leadership: excellent people skills, with the ability to empower and motivate staff and volunteers to operate effectively.
- Partnership building: strong ability to build partnerships, manage coalitions, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Communication skills: excellent communication and persuasion skills, including experience in public speaking.
- Governance knowledge: understanding of governance principles in the voluntary or public sector.
- Safeguarding: experience in leading on safeguarding and health and safety.
Desirable Criteria
- Asylum system knowledge: lived experience related to displacement and migration is highly desirable together with an understanding of the asylum system.
- Policy and advocacy: experience in asylum-related policy or advocacy work.
- Commercial awareness: experience in negotiating with statutory, local, or voluntary organisations/authorities.
