We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, ambitious Regional Fundraiser to join our team.

In this role you will:

• Recruit, build and maintain supporter relationships with individuals, community groups, organisations and businesses across the country
• Be proactive within your assigned area to identify opportunities for fundraising and raise awareness of the charity

About the role

The purpose of the Fundraising Coordinator/Small Grant Writer role is to act as administrator and coordinator for all aspects of the Fundraising team, as well as working with the Head of Fundraising to research, compose and submit small grant applications (up to £10,000) using skilled writing techniques and knowledge of the culture, programmes and language of Kids Matter.

The Fundraising Coordinator/Small Grant Writer role involves:

• Supporting the Head of Fundraising in providing dedicated donor care and communications through the management, oversight and actioning of the donor thanking process ensuring all financial gifts no matter how large or small are acknowledged and thanked appropriately.
• Collaborating with the Finance Manager and Operations Administrator to ensure that all incoming donations are correctly identified, communicated and recorded in Kids Matter’s CRM system.
• Liaising with the Communications team to provide administrative support for the fundraising elements of campaign initiatives.
• Taking minutes at all fundraising meetings and distribute/action as necessary to the team.
• In conjunction with the Head of Fundraising, researching new small grant funding opportunities. Writing and submitting subsequent grant applications in a professional and timely manner.
• In conjunction with the Head of Fundraising and utilising knowledge of existing donor and grant income and potential grant opportunities, helping to plan future years’ funding pipeline strategy.

As the Strategic Lead for Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, you will ensure the systematic provision of high-quality mental health support for babies, children, young people and their families. The role

The post holder will be responsible for managing Foxglove’s legal team and legal work. You will drive forward a range of cases, including the development of case theories, investigating and collecting evidence, drafting correspondence, evidence and submissions. Person Specification

Essential 

• A strong interest in using the law to hold government and companies to account.

Length and Salary

The role is permanent. The annual salary is £70,075 per annum less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance. 

Our team works remotely, and this role can be based anywhere. We would prefer you to work within or close to UK office hours, but this is flexible. Our team travels every two months for team days and twice a year for team retreats. About the role:

This role is hybrid working between Bridewell Police Station and home (and therefore requires an appropriately confidential home space in which to work), with travel around the locality to meet with service users. As a Senior IDVA you will:

• Identify and assess the risks and needs of male domestic abuse victims. Assist them in accessing services to keep them and their family safe, and develop individual safety plans to meet client's needs.
• Focus on and prioritise high risk cases and provide a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service, through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Understand the legal framework relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults.
• Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions.
• Support the empowerment of the client and assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse.
• Participate fully in the MARAC framework: refer clients to, attend and participate in meetings by being the voice of the client and follow up actions agreed, keeping the client's safety at the forefront.
• Take a lead in setting an example of good working practices and offer mentoring to colleagues. Be the initial contact for colleagues to provide advice and guidance on their casework.
• Provide information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process and ensure their rights are upheld in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice.
• Provide effective line management of staff to ensure performance targets and agreed outcomes are met by the service. Monitor and oversee quality of service provision provided by the team, and identify learning and development opportunities. Support performance auditing, interpret data for commissioners and report on this.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service.

You will need:

• A proven track record of being an effective IDVA.
• An ability to work independently and as part of a team, sharing, coaching and influencing others.
• An understanding of the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children.
• Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework.
• Experience of managing a complex caseload, and be able to prioritise work and deal with competing demands demonstrating an organised an methodical approach to work.
• The ability to use IT applications competently including, Microsoft Word, Excel etc. and Case Management systems in order to keep accurate records and undertake performance monitoring.

As this role involves regular travel across Bristol a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement.

The CEO will be the public face of the organisation, building strong relationships with stakeholders, advocating for the voice of adults with muscle-weakening conditions and driving the organisation’s strategic vision.

This is a unique leadership opportunity for someone with lived experience of muscle-weakening conditions to shape the future of a dynamic and impactful organisation. You will ensure the charity’s sustainability, provide operational oversight and work collaboratively with the Board of Trustees, staff and beneficiaries to meet the priorities of our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and implement the strategic vision of the organisation.

• Represent Pathfinders as its public face, advocating for the needs and voices of adults with muscle-weakening conditions in public, media, and campaign spaces.

• Build partnerships and networks across sectors, fostering collaboration to support our mission.

• Work with trustees to oversee governance, ensure statutory compliance and risk management - building a culture of open communication with the trustees. 

• Build teamwork and co-operation within the Charities Management Team

• Manage an appropriate risk management policy and ensure all policies are relevant and up to date.

• Oversee fundraising initiatives to secure sustainable income, working across diverse funding streams.

• Manage organisational finances, including budget preparation, financial oversight, and reporting to the Board and funding bodies.

• Be able to manage projects and add extra project delivery capacity when needed.

Person Specification

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Lived experience of muscle-weakening conditions

• CEO experience, or equivalent within a large organisation

• Experience of successfully working with Boards in order to ensure the current and future success of the organisation

• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, reporting and risk assessment.

• Experience in fundraising, securing income from a range of sources (e.g., trusts, corporate sponsors, and community support).

• Knowledge of charity governance, safeguarding, data protection and compliance requirements.

• Excellent communication skills, with experience of building relationships with stakeholders and engaging with diverse audiences.

• Understanding of human resources and personnel management.

• Confidence in public speaking and in writing, with the ability to represent the organisation in high-profile spaces.

• Strategic thinking with the ability to identify trends and opportunities to advance the charity’s mission.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our driven team to help us fundraise for our multi-million-pound programme of investment in the children’s hospital and NICU. 

This exciting role offers a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring and multi-talented individual to develop their career in a fast-paced and ambitious charity. You’ll need great organisational skills to manage multiple activities, strong written communications skills and be a talented and highly motivated team player. You will have a background in fundraising or events and will have the ability to look after our amazing supporters through outstanding stewardship.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Senior Events Fundraiser to ensure that the events programme expands and grows from strength to strength. You will be able to engage, motivate and influence a wide range of people, including members of the public and key stakeholders. Enthusiasm, initiative and energy are important attributes for the role.

The successful applicant will help organise the charity’s events fundraising portfolio and steward participants to generate income. Our current portfolio includes Wallace & Gromit-themed events such as Wallace & Gromit’s Wrong Trousers Day, charity-led challenge events such as our new Three Peaks Challenge, as well as third-party challenge events such as skydives and half marathons. You will also help deliver key supporter stewardship events, working alongside the Corporate and Philanthropy Teams.

2025 is an exciting year as our Gromit Unleashed 3 public arts trail will take place over the summer. Gromit Unleashed 3 follows three trailblazing and award-winning public art trails from Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, in partnership with Aardman. To date these award-winning events have generated over £20 million to support Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This role will have the opportunity to be part of the trail and will support the execution of the highly anticipated trail Exhibition and Auction.

Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal works in partnership with Aardman Animations to support Bristol Children’s Hospital and the region’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Michael’s Hospital and offers a dynamic, supportive and rewarding workplace for its approx. 40 staff.
