At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. We are support around 300 families both in our hospice and in their homes.

Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family, including end of life care, symptom management, respite short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, Phsyiotherapy and much much more.  We work with staffing ratios that allow us to deliver a high quality, holistic model of care which is tailored for each child and family.

As a registered charity we receive around 16 % of our funding from government sources and our fundraisers and supporters raise the remaining funds needed to keep our services running. The role:

We are seeking to recruit a Team Lead for the in house care team. Your role will involve working in a co ordinated way with  other Team Leads to oversee the day to day running of the care floor. This will include overseeing the off duty rota,  management and planning of both planned and unplanned admissions, overseeing the delivery on symptom management and EOL care,  taking responsibility for areas of governance and audit and line managing a small team of nurses and support workers, in addition to looking at ongoing opportunities for service development. Working in the Team Leader role, you will  lead with enthusiasm to support a resilient and motivated team,  delivering a high standard of holistic care.

From 1st April 2022 all direct care provision and/or close contact roles at Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice require full COVID vaccination as a Condition of Deployment. The role of Nurse falls into this category.

Greenpeace are partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell in their search for a new Deputy Head of Finance to join their team on a permanent basis. The role:

• Assist the Head of Finance with the preparation of the Greenpeace Ltd monthly management accounts.
• Provide support and advice to budget holders to aid budgetary understanding and ownership.
• Proactively work to improve finance processes, including developing budget management processes.
• Assist the Head of Finance in the efficient and timely preparation of the Greenpeace Ltd annual accounts production and the conduct of the annual audit.
• Represent the team at a senior level including providing financial advice to the organisation.
• Share leadership responsibilities for the team with the Head of Finance. Provide expertise, insights, financial advice and problem solving as necessary.
• Assist the Head of Finance with improving VAT reporting, compliance, analysis and organisational understanding.
• Influence and manage the workload of the Finance team, including the delegation of work, weekly/monthly monitoring of workload and priorities against work plan/timetable, and resolution of any bottlenecks that occur.
• Lead and develop the Senior Finance officer who reports directly to you.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified, or a finalist Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or other chartered accountancy qualification) or will be qualified by experience.
• Have substantial experience of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Be a self-starter, with the ability to work on own initiative
• Have proven experience of delivering a business partnering focussed service and providing in depth insight, analysis and guidance to budget-holders.
• Support and believe in the aims of Greenpeace.
• Have highly developed communication skills with credibility to operate outside the finance function up to senior management level.

In this role, you will lead on analytics initiatives as well as leading a high-performing analytics team of four analysts.

• Design analytics projects and team initiatives that will optimise the use of analytics in the organisation.
• Support the Data Science Specialist in the team to develop the data science practice at WaterAid.

About You:
You'll be an experienced analytics manager with experience of leading analytics teams and projects.
To be successful, you'll need:

This full time, homebased position covering the North of England focusing on our key areas in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester. Sudbury

This is a 12 hour Supported Housing service providing 15 supported housing flats for clients experiencing mental ill health. The service is tailored for each individual with the ultimate goal to help them manage their accommodation and assist them with reintegration back into mainstream housing within 2 years. We also offer a community support service for a fixed period of time. This is designed to help those already living in their own homes receive assistance with day-to-day task and activities.

Stowmarket

This 24 hours Supported Housing service is a mental health, supported housing and community based service, working to a recovery model. We provide a range of support services for people with mental ill health to access in their local community, including outreach support, peer support and supported housing. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards.

About you

Experience working as an Administrator is essential. You’ll need to be proactive and adaptable, with excellent communication, administration, finance and minute taking skills and experience, along with experience of completing contract management data reports and of maintaining and reviewing office systems and procedures.

Job purpose

This is a pivotal role created to support an ambitious £80m fundraising appeal that will culminate in the creation of the new Royal Free London Cancer Centre.

The RFL, is one of the busiest cancer services in London, combining local care for a population of 2.5m with specialist services relied on by patients from all over the UK and beyond. By 2030, the number of people diagnosed with cancer in north central London is forecast to increase by 42% to 66,000 as the population ages.

The RFL urgently needs to increase its diagnostic, treatment, research and development capacity to meet the needs of our patients. In response, the Royal Free Charity is preparing a major fundraising appeal to support:

•  the capital costs for the construction and equipping of a dedicated centre
• the delivery of cancer-related support services.

The campaign communications manager will support the activities of our fundraising directorate in the private phase (Autumn 2024 onwards) and the launch of the public phase of our appeal in early 2026.

The postholder will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans to engage philanthropists, existing supporters, grateful patients, stakeholders and the public. It promises to be a varied and rewarding role in a small but highly collaborative and friendly team.

The role will report to our head of communications and work closely with the campaign director and colleagues in our fundraising directorate and with key clinical leads in the RFL.  

The role is ideally suited to someone who is comfortable working across strategic planning and operational delivery, relishing the opportunity to translate plans into activity.

Engagement and communications department

The communications team is responsible for keeping our supporters and local residents informed about the difference we make to the patients and staff of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

We celebrate achievements and promote the charity and its successes to the world. We manage our digital presence through a range of channels including our website, our social media platforms and email marketing.

The objectives of the post are to: 

• develop and deliver the overarching communications and engagement plan for the cancer campaign
• work with the campaign director and colleagues in our fundraising directorate to support the development and delivery of donor-specific communication plans
• work with the campaign chair and campaign board members to promote the campaign in sectors where they are seeking to raise significant funds i.e. tech, finance, banking, media etc
• work with the campaign director and relevant agency to produce campaign materials and ensure the patient voice is represented in the appeal
• embed and champion the campaign brand to ensure consistency across all communications
• develop and maintain a campaign web presence, ensuring it is regularly updated with relevant content
• identify opportunities for thought leadership, including long-read articles and guest blog posts
• identify opportunities to update our supporters on progress
• share in the delivery of internal communications activity to ensure our staff and volunteers are well-informed ambassadors for the campaign
• share in the delivery of engagement activity with our online followers and supporters, responding in a timely and positive manner to comments and messages

We're seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to lead our Individual Giving program. Reporting into the Head of Fundraising, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering fundraising appeals and regular giving campaigns. Main Responsibilities:

• Project manage, deliver, and develop fundraising campaigns across various channels including direct mail, email, digital, social media, radio, press inserts, and advertising.

• Champion the use of data and insight to drive regular giving, utilizing databases for effective prospect and donor management.

Person Specification:

• Proven track record in developing and implementing successful regular giving strategies and campaigns.

• Effective stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally.

• Experience in budget management, reporting, and forecasting.

• The ability to influence, motivate, and persuade donors.

• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, CRMs, social media, and web platforms.

- Experience and/or understanding of philanthropy within the healthcare and/or a medical research setting.

The Philanthropy Manager sits within the Philanthropy team – part of the Relationship Fundraising division within the wider Fundraising Directorate. The team focuses on securing gifts from high net-worth individuals and charitable foundations and manages a substantial high value programme.
