Many of the people they work with are long term unemployed (10 years +) and some have never worked. Overall purpose
The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for developing, leading and implementing key aspects of our communications and engagement strategy. Your focus will be to maintain our high reputation and build engagement with key audiences – principally target public audiences, corporate partners, funders and supporters, volunteers, clients, and staff.
Bridging the gap between senior leadership and delivery, you will be a confident and strategic thinker, but remain excited by the challenge of getting stuck in. Strong copywriting is essential for this role. You will be able to write, edit, and tailor content for different audiences, and publish it across various channels, including the website, social media, emails, and marketing materials.
You will enjoy variety. Your day could involve operational planning, developing a new campaign, briefing freelancers and agencies, finding compelling stories, creating our Impact Report, speaking with journalists, working on internal communications, or drafting social media posts.
The successful candidate will have strong emotional intelligence, relationship building and negotiation skills. They will be collaborative and creative, drive projects forward, work effectively alongside the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, and bring people together across the organisation. They will provide supportive, effective management to the Communications and Campaigns Officer, and be an internal advocate for the impact our Communications and Engagement can have.

We are looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to support the Head of Membership Engagement in the overall development and delivery of commercial revenue streams at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. This will include all current sponsorship for conferences, including our flagship Fundraising Convention, corporate membership, and strategic partnerships.
Job purpose:
- Recruiting, retaining, and developing corporate members.

Key Accountabilities

Summary job description
Our Technical Knowledge team oversees Blue Ventures’ technical pillars (Secure Rights, Community-Based Fisheries Management, Food Security and Financial Inclusion) and supports the use of data for decision-making, providing tools, training, and guidance to partners and Blue Ventures’ staff around the world. This team integrates expertise and deep practical experience with pragmatism and a desire to enable others to deliver lasting change, by distilling global best practices and knowledge into usable tools, appropriate training, and responsive guidance and support. The team is also responsible for delivering peer learning exchanges and knowledge-sharing events both online and face-to-face across the organisation, in addition to overseeing technical publications.
We are currently recruiting for an exceptional individual to be part of this global team, leading a critical pillar of the strategy on Community-Based Fisheries Management. This individual would oversee the development, refinement, and roll out of tools and training to support partners working with communities around the world as they establish community-based fisheries management and locally managed marine areas. The Blue Ventures Technical Knowledge team has a unique vantage point, gained through supporting dozens of partners working with hundreds of communities across South East Asia, the Western Indian Ocean, West Africa, and the Caribbean as well as being part of international fora and members of expert panels. The role entails leading an interdisciplinary and international team, with strong cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will report to Blue Ventures’ Director of Technical Knowledge and will be based in one of our regional hubs, with regular overseas travel to work with partners and field teams around the world.
The core technical scope of the role’s portfolio will include:
- Community-based fisheries management for low-resource, data-limited fisheries including fish biology, coastal ecology, fisheries science, governance and participatory management and decision making;
- Participatory assessment, management and conservation of tropical marine habitats (integrating scientific and community-based habitat mapping and monitoring, fisheries data collection and use, marine spatial ecology and coastal resource governance)
- Following and informing best practice and policy for community based small-scale fisheries management and habitat protection.

About the role

About the role
This is an awesome role focussed on improving our ways of working and processes when it comes to those who support us. We want all of our supporters to have a first class experience when they decide to donate their time and/or money to supporting children and young people with cancer and their families. However we know that as an organisation we have more to do to make this happen and the time is now.
Working in Income Generation, this role will take a recently conducted diagnostic carried out by a business improvement consultant and not only work through the next steps but make change happen, prioritising the areas with the biggest wins. This role really will have a lasting legacy in the organisation.
We're not just looking for someone to map change, this person will lead operational design and process re-engineering that transforms the Income Generation directorate and it's workforce into high achievers.
You’ll be based within the Project Management Office (PMO), a supportive team of professionals that lead transformational change across the organisation as well as corporate planning. You’ll also have close relationship with the Head of Planning and Strategy in Income Generation as well as the Associate Director Supporter Engagement.

What will I be doing?
No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.
- Building on the diagnostics carried out already within Income Generation directorate to optimise organisational design and scope improvements.
- Using the diagnostics to identify pain areas, develop a sequenced plan to tackle these issues and then implement the plan to improve performance, processes and services i.e. “getting hands dirty”.
- Embedding a culture of improvement in the organisation and developing these capabilities within the workforce.
- All of these activities will involve facilitating workshops, engaging audiences with tailored communications, debating and negotiating ideas with leaders, managing governance, risks and dependencies, evaluating progress etc.

Blue Ventures is a marine conservation organization that puts people first. We support coastal fishers in remote and rural communities to rebuild fisheries, restore ocean life and build lasting pathways to prosperity. Our Technical Knowledge team oversees Blue Ventures’ technical pillars (Secure Rights, Community-Based Fisheries Management, Food Security and Financial Inclusion) and supports the use of data for decision making, providing tools, training, and guidance to partners and Blue Ventures’ staff around the world. This team integrates expertise and deep practical experience with pragmatism and a desire to enable others to deliver lasting change, by distilling global best practices and knowledge into usable tools, appropriate training, and responsive guidance and support. The team is also responsible for delivering peer learning exchanges and knowledge sharing events both online and face to face across the organisation in addition to overseeing technical publications.
We are currently recruiting for an exceptional individual to be part of this global team, leading a critical pillar of the strategy on Food Security. This individual will oversee the Food Security function, including the development, refinement, and roll out of tools and training to support partners around the world as they establish initiatives targeting fish production, availability and affordability, to promote nutrition, food security and financial returns of fishers through assessments of the nutritional value of key fisheries, sustainable fisheries management, waste reduction initiatives, and interventions that increase the economic and nutritional value, as well as durability, of fish catch. About WaterAid:
The climate crisis is a water crisis. Around the world, people are feeling the effects of climate change through water, including flooding, droughts, sea level rise, and irregular rainfall. Climate change is affecting seasonal and long-term water availability, meaning we can no longer rely on rain, river flows and aquifers.
The Resilient Water Accelerator is an initiative designed to increase the flow of private and public finance into water projects that help the most climate-vulnerable communities build resilience to climate change. Despite the high need, only 3% of total climate finance flows go towards water. Our mission is to demonstrate the business case for increased and enhanced public and private investment in water-related deals in emerging economies that strengthen resilience for climate-vulnerable communities and are replicable so that millions more can benefit. We are working to increase the speed, scale, and replicability of water investment by creating a pipeline of bankable projects, bringing together the right mix of financing with the right commercial structures and partners, and supporting improvements in the enabling environment.
About the Team:
We are a friendly, supportive, globally distributed team, bringing on-the-ground expertise and comprehensive perspectives, combining climate policy, water economics, private finance, measurement and evaluation, and governance. We are currently housed within WaterAid – the world’s largest NGO focused on providing water, sanitation, and hygiene outcomes for people in developing countries, and are one of WaterAid’s flagship programmes. We have a close partnership with Global Development Incubator, which is providing incubation support for the RWA.
The RWA currently has 11 staff, based in 6 countries, and we have plans to build the team to around 18-20 over the next couple of years, to extend our delivery from 2 countries (currently Nigeria and Bangladesh) to 6, and to secure additional financing to complement the investment we have secured from the UK Government.

The Manager – Climate & Water will play an important role in this small, international team by managing the integration of ideas, policy frameworks, and findings from research and practice into the Resilient Water Accelerator (RWA)’s programmes in our target countries and at a global level. They will report directly into the RWA’s Director of Programmes and Investment, shaping and delivering the future RWA as a highly effective and impactful learning organisation.
- Project management to ensure RWA’s Programmes and Investment-related activities are delivered on time and within budget. Using agreed project management software, track and report RWA’s programme-related deliverables.
- Conduct research and integrate findings to strengthen RWA Programmes design and delivery: Provide regular inputs and updates on water-related climate, and climate-related water policies, practices, and trends in RWA’s focus countries and target markets and at a global level using quantitative and qualitative approaches, to inform RWA’s understanding of local markets and project origination & early-stage development efforts.
- Support the creation and rollout of tools, templates, and business processes for RWA team members to integrate climate policy and climate finance into program operations: Collaboratively design, iterate, and improve RWA’s suite of tools and methods for use throughout RWA’s programming, including but not limited to: Understanding Local Markets (ULM), which includes scoping new markets for RWA operations and maintaining an understanding of the markets where we operate; Deal Origination and Early Stage Development, to integrate climate policy and finance into local decision making about opportunities and challenges;
- Summarize, synthesize, and effectively communicate climate and water-related ideas for internal (RWA staff & board) and external (specific & general) audiences: Support communications strategy and audience segmentation efforts; contribute to RWA’s external communications and knowledge products, to share and amplify how RWA is thinking and learning through diverse media, e.g., newsletter, blogs, field notes, podcast, social media.
About you:
- At least 5 years’ experience working in on climate-related issues, with a preference for climate policy in middle-income countries and/or climate-related finance.
- A passion for effective Project Management, process design, and continuous improvement cycles with an organised and structured approach to work, managing deadlines and competing priorities.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research, analytical, and modelling skills, with an ability to summarize, synthesize, and articulate findings in clear and coherent ways for diverse audiences.
- Intellectually curious and flexible, with a willingness to explore and test diverse ideas, try new things, and approach learning with a sense of humility and humour.
- Familiarity and experience working with GIS / other large-scale datasets to create models and conduct research and analyses preferred.
- Strong written and oral communications skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-cultural contexts. Experience facilitating virtual and in-person meetings, workshops, and trainings with diverse audiences preferred.
- Creative and open-minded when working with others in identifying, understanding, and resolving multi-dimensional problems.
- Masters’ degree in one of the following or related fields: climate science, climate and/or water policy, sustainability-related finance, business administration, public administration, public policy.
- Experience of working in and with geographically dispersed teams.
- Team player with a flexible mindset and ability to establish boundaries and adapt in response to changing priorities and demands.
- Able to work on own initiative, providing proactive advice and recommendations, and comfortable operating with a degree of uncertainty and change.

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities
This is an excellent opportunity to take on an exciting role within the Humanitarian Team of the Programme & Policy Department/Programme Management Team.
We are looking for someone with a good understanding of policies and practices managing projects with the FCDO and DEC. A good grasp of programme and financial management combined with an ability to provide distance support to Country Offices and partners.
The Humanitarian Programme Manager is responsible for the overall management for a portfolio of programmes across the programme management lifecycle from the contracting stage to close out. The successful candidate leads the relationship with donors, working with country offices and technical teams to ensure programmes are delivered in line with CARE International strategies and procedures, and in compliance with donor requirements. Specific areas of responsibilities include programme quality, accountability, relationship management, impact reporting and knowledge management, compliance and risk management. In addition, he/she will be an effective team member and committed to tackling discrimination and structural inequality and promoting CARE International’s Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Child Protection policy with team members and in day-to-day practice.

About you
The team is looking for a talented individual to support our portfolio projects through excellent contract and finance management. You will have knowledge of donor compliance and donor reporting and will provide integrated programme delivery, contract, and compliance expertise throughout the project cycle: from implementation plan set up to reporting and close out. You will have experience with managing multiple stakeholders across a single project. Ability to work in French or Arabic, as well as some overseas experience in a development context, would also be highly desirable.

Our expert team of canine behaviourists provide behavioural support and advice to teams within Battersea, members of the public, and the rescue organisations we work with around the world. The team design and help implement behaviour modification and training plans for dogs whilst coaching members of the canine care groups through the practical day-to-day steps. They also assist with behavioural and welfare assessments of animals who come into our centres and are on hand to help manage and provide further support with dogs with more complex behavioural needs. The team provide support to dogs during their stay at Battersea, and are also available for continued advice after rehoming.
We are now looking to recruit a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor for our team in Old Windsor. Within this role, you will work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations. You will be working as part of a care group to create behaviour modification plans, support with handling difficult dogs and make recommendations, along with the individual care group, for individual dog outcomes.
