Fundraising is still a relatively new activity for DFN Project SEARCH and this role presents the opportunity to play a key part in its expansion to support the further growth of the charity and enable young adults with a learning disability to lead healthier, happier, and more independent lives.
This role will support the Director of Development in implementing DFN Project SEARCH’s fundraising strategy. To date the strategy has focused on securing a small number of larger gifts from philanthropic sources, such as trusts and foundations. We are now evolving the strategy to include growing income from high-net-worth individuals, companies, and individual giving.
This role will lead on the development and implementation of the strategy to secure income from high-net-worth individuals (between five and potentially seven figures) and will also work with the Director of Development and the Development Officer on securing income from, and stewarding, trusts, foundations, and statutory funders. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team there is also the opportunity to input to the wider strategy and development of the charity and support the Director of Development in their role as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
The team is currently made up of the Director of Development, Corporate Partnership Manager (reporting to the Director of Development), and the Development Officer (reporting to this new role).

What will I be doing?
Leading the CRM & Marketing Engineering team, incorporating all necessary disciplines (Development, Environments, and Support) to deliver the priorities defined by the Head of Product Portfolio and the Relationship Management & Marketing Product Managers. This will involve:
Balancing the needs of the organisation to ensure development progresses at pace and environments are reliable.
Supporting DevOps approaches and Support teams to ensure an excellent service that meets user needs and maintains the platform's data integrity.
Collaborating closely with the Head of Product Portfolio and Product Managers to:

Leading the CRM & Marketing Engineering in transitioning from the legacy monolith Siebel to the new Salesforce.
This will include providing technical leadership for decommissioning Siebe ensuring to coach the team while maintaining morale and developing their skills to take on the new platforms.
Collaborating closely with the implementation partners to ensure the new platforms meet Cancer Research UK's needs, and that team members are appropriately involved in the implementations.
It is crucial that knowledge transfer is taken seriously to avoid long-term dependency on the implementation partner and to build internal capacity for ongoing transformation.
Defining and delivering the Relationship Management & Marketing aspects of the Engineering Strategy.
This includes optimising the delivery of work through the team in terms of throughput and quality, by promoting and embedding DevOps tools and processes, and Agile methods as appropriate.
Continually improving the availability, stability, and resilience of our platforms by addressing technical debt, improving support mechanisms, acting on support pain points, and ensuring the voice of the customer is heard in the team.
Coaching and developing staff in the team ensuring that they are gaining in skill, learning the new platforms, and that they can support each other through cross-skilling.

What skills will I need?
Extensive experience in line managing, leading, and motivating technical Development and Support teams (c. 8-10+ direct reports) across various disciplines and levels (this can either be within CRM or non-CRM Engineering).
Ideally has navigated teams through periods of ambiguity and transformation (this is desirable, we welcome applicants without this experience)
Some knowledge of CRM platforms within hybrid environments (on-premise & cloud / SaaS)
You do not need to have managed CRM teams before or be a CRM expert - our key priority is finding someone with the management skills to lead CRM specialists.
Some understanding of Salesforce (e.g., Sales Cloud and Service Cloud).
Previously managed and transformed the development and operation of enterprise-grade platforms.
Proven ability to influence, challenge, and engage internal and external stakeholders from a leadership and strategic perspective.
Knowledge of engineering best practices and DevOps culture, tools and processes.

About the Role:
The Senior Manager will manage a process through which Country Programmes (CPs) can access the human resources required to deliver their programme and project objectives effectively and efficiently. About You:
- Proven experience in business and project management, preferably in technical support services or related role.

- Proven experience of managing change processes.
- Experience of working with institutions in low- and middle-income countries.

Discovery is a student-run, charity based at Swansea University. Each year, more than 400 student volunteers deliver community-based projects to enrich the lives of the community around them.
The role of the Volunteering Projects Manager
The Volunteering Projects Manager is responsible for the support, development and effectiveness of our projects. Providing a high level of support, coaching and development to our student volunteer project coordinators.

As Skills Centre Manager, you will lead the Charity’s Skills Centre and Social Hub. This service supports vulnerable adults with a wide range of needs to be active members of the community, increase independence, develop life skills, and set goals and achievements to work toward.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the smooth operational running of the Skills Centre via the management of a medium sized team of activity co-ordinators.

- Being responsible for the collection, recording and safe storage of information about service users in the form of up-to-date confidential files and a daily register of attendance.

- Overseeing and transforming the Café into a fully operational social hub.

The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting adults with disabilities, as well as experience working in an activities centre in a management position. A general understanding of the operational needs of a day centre/skills centre within a social care setting is key, as is an understanding of health and wellbeing leading to meaningful relationships (Mental Health signs and symptoms). You must also be computer literate and experienced in using or teaching others how to use Microsoft Office. An extroverted personality to continually motivate others is vital!

We are recruiting a Policy and Campaigns Manager to take forward our work on household debt. This role plays a key part in our campaign to end the UK’s household debt crisis.
Over ten million people in the UK are now ‘overindebted’, meaning they are behind on bills or are finding their debt repayments a heavy financial burden. The crisis has been growing over the last decade but has increased dramatically because of the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis. More and more people are now borrowing to cover bills and essentials.
Our campaign combines community organising with national level campaigning and advocacy work to bring the voices of those most affected by the debt crisis to the fore in debates on policy solutions. You will use your policy and campaigning expertise to help ensure the people most impacted by problem household debt have a say in influencing the policies that affect them. You will work on issues such as the growth in council tax debt and bailiff use, the huge build up in energy debt as a result of the cost of living crisis and making insolvency policy and practice fairer and more accessible so more people can get out of debt.
You will be a key member of our household debt project team, working alongside the Head of Campaigns, Head of Policy and Advocacy, Digital Campaigner and Lead Organiser.
We are looking for someone with great policy analysis and advocacy skills, a strong campaigning mindset, and a passion for social justice. We are not expecting you to already be an expert in all aspects of the role or in household debt policy but are looking for someone with the potential to develop quickly. Crucially, you will also need to appreciate why taking a community organising approach and building the power of people affected by debt is important, though you do not need to have experience in community organising.
This role will require some evening and weekend working, though this will be infrequent.

We are delighted to be supporting a national health focused charity to find a part time, temporary Helpline Support Services Volunteer Officer. This role is for 6 months for 21 hours per week and offers hybrid working with only one day per month in their London Office.
You will support with the recruitment, training and development of Helpline Volunteers and Befriending Volunteers. Supporting volunteers in carrying out their roles effectively in providing emotional support, information, and befriending support to people affected by MS.
You will provide support and guidance to volunteers within the Helpline services team including recruitment and training. You will also provide continuous service referral management for national befriending service and provide continuous support to Befriending Volunteers.
You will also support the Helpline Services Volunteer Manager with embedding new volunteer projects into the Helpline and answer enquiries through a range of channels giving up to date, quality, trusted information and emotional support.
The role will require you to contribute to Helpline services out of hours cover between 5-7pm on a weekly basis including supporting volunteers and staff on evening shifts and support with managing safeguarding enquiries as part of the Safeguarding Responder Group including filling in relevant forms and providing relevant. You will also coordinate volunteer recognition events at regular intervals that increase engagement and development.

About the Role
This is a key role to support our Operations Co-ordinator with accounting and financial administration of the charity.
Responsibilities
- Managing and recording all financial transactions of the business, journal entries, sales ledger and purchase ledger, bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations, general ledger management, banking, making payments, staff expenses, credit control, weekly and monthly reporting to management, closing the sales ledger and purchase ledger at the end of each month, ensuring all month end journals are posted and any other duties as required by the organisation
- Process timesheets, Gift Aid claims and payroll
- Carry out Partial Exemption calculations for VAT purposes
- Reviewing draft contracts for financial implications
- Kashflow software experience preferred but not essential
- Ensuring restricted grants are analysed and allocated accordingly
- Support the organisation with projects and tasks as required
- Respond to queries over the telephone, email and face to face
- Previous experience in a similar role for a charity
