We are seeking a passionate mental health professional to lead and inspire wellbeing initiatives for those at risk of homelessness in Manchester.

About the Role

As Mental Health and Wellbeing Manager you will help promote positive mental health coping strategies and the overall wellbeing of clients through various practices that ultimately empower people to take control of their own mental health and wellbeing. 

You will take the lead on developing creative and innovative initiatives that contribute to positive mental health outcomes and personal wellbeing in every aspect of your work.  These initiatives will be based on the Endeavour principle of co-production where we will take an asset-based approach focussing on what is strong in people and the spaces and communities we operate in.

Key responsibilities include:

· Developing resources, workshops and reflective practice training for clients, staff and volunteers

· Supporting teams to navigate mental health services and improve client advocacy

· Building psychologically informed environments (PIEs) across Depaul spaces

· Promoting trauma-informed and ACT-based approaches

· Collaborating with local mental health organisations and national teams to standardise best practice

· Delivering training programmes and managing related budgets

· Ensuring safeguarding and quality standards are upheld

About You

This is a strategic, empowering role suited to someone with a deep commitment to mental health and social impact. You’ll bring a strong understanding of the intersection between homelessness and mental health, as well as experience supporting individuals with complex needs.

To succeed, you will have:

· Experience and demonstrable understanding of challenges faced by people facing homelessness, and in particular of issues facing people with mental health challenges

· Working knowledge of mental health policy, services and community resources

· Strong facilitation and training skills (e.g. TIP, ACT, WRAP, ASIST)

· A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

· A collaborative, proactive mindset and strong relationship-building skills

· Understanding of safeguarding practices and budget management

The salary band for this role is £40,000 - £46,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead and grow our national family support services for disabled children, young people, and their families. As Head of Advice, Information and Family Support, you will be responsible for the strategic development, delivery, and quality assurance of a broad portfolio of non-clinical family services—ranging from emotional and practical support to peer networks, parenting guidance, and tailored one-to-one interventions.

You will be a confident leader with extensive experience managing family-facing services, ideally within health, social care, or community settings, and possess a strong track record of working closely with commissioners and local authorities to secure funding and shape service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Service Development

• Lead the strategic development of our national family support services, ensuring they are responsive, evidence-informed, and outcomes-focused.

What will I be doing?

• Contribute to the development of a '3-year plan' for MFE, translating the mass audience strategy into a high-level plan of priorities and activity

• Act as a key interface for MFE with other directorates, ensuring support functions receive a joined-up view of needs, requirements and priorities across MFE, aligned to the mass audience strategy (including deputising for the MFE Planning & Change Lead on forums relating to CRUK-wide planning)

• Support improvements to how CRUK-wide planning is done, including how we align people and budgets to achieve our shared goals, especially in areas of org-wide shared resource (e.g. Creative)

• Support the design, build and implementation of a new fit-for-purpose governance structure for MFE, and support the MFE Planning & Change Lead in running this new governance

• Champion process optimisation initiatives across MFE to deliver efficiencies and improve employee experience

• Work with colleagues in Fundraising Finance to ensure financial and operational planning are integrated and aligned, and to collaborate at key points in the business cycle (e.g. target-setting, budgeting etc)

• Contribute to writing impactful papers and presentations for a variety of stakeholder groups, including MFE SLT

We are Zarach, the children’s bed charity, and we’re on a mission to end child bed poverty, giving children the opportunity to engage at school and break the cycle of poverty. 

In our nearly seven years as a registered charity, we’ve captured the hearts and attention of many individuals, community groups, businesses and funders who want to support us on our mission. We’ve also been given an incredible media platform from which we have raised awareness of child bed poverty at local, regional and national levels. This support and awareness has seen us deliver over 12,000 bed bundles to children to date.

With an estimated 4.5 million children in the UK living in poverty – including 1 million experiencing destitution and around 900,000 living in bed poverty – we have an aspiration to reach more children, in more areas of high need across the country. 

We are now looking to appoint, for the first time, a dedicated Fundraising Events Manager to work within our small and dynamic Fundraising & Supporter Engagement team. You will help us unlock the financial and awareness-raising potential that a programme of events can deliver as we seek to lift more children out of bed poverty across more parts of the country.

As our ideal candidate, you will need to be within commuting distance to our Leeds warehouse, meaning you can travel regularly to meet with the team. 

You will be someone who has proven experience in fundraising event management and/or the delivery of successful corporate events, from concept to execution.

The role: Royal Navy Sports and Community Infrastructure Project Officer - full time/35 hours per week 

As a key member of the Greenwich Hospital and Andrew Simpson Foundation teams, you will be responsible for developing the RN “Building Sports and Well-being for the Future” vision into a costed, designed and persuasive community hubs plan, followed by its implementation as an effectively managed transformational project delivering high-quality sports and community hubs.
