About the Role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) and Lebanon.
The Deputy Director of Philanthropy will play a pivotal role in advancing MAP's mission by leading and expanding our fundraising efforts across trusts and foundations, major donors and corporate partnerships in the UK and internationally. This senior leadership position requires a dynamic, strategic, and highly motivated individual with a proven track record in high-value fundraising and relationship management.
About You
You will have an understanding of the history and particular circumstances which face Palestinians, as well as a passion for the cause. You’ll have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing fundraising strategies, and with a strong track record of securing major gifts, grants and corporate partnerships, you’ll take our partnership offering to a new level aiming for multi-year partnerships. You will use your excellent interpersonal and motivational leadership skills to develop and support team members to deliver their best work. Your exceptional communication skills and the capability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines will be valuable.

Duties and key responsibilities
Leadership, Strategy and Planning
•Build and inspire a high-performing, results-oriented team focused on delivering fundraising targets through tailored partnership plans
•Lead the development of the Philanthropy and Partnerships strategy, setting ambitious targets in line with the fundraising strategy and goals in the UK and globally.
•Collaborate with the Director and Heads of teams to develop team plans aligned with the Fundraising and Marketing strategy.
•Stay ahead of emerging trends and horizon scanning to ensure MAP’s philanthropy offering considers the latest developments.
Relationship Development and Management
•Cultivate and manage strong relationships with corporates, major donors, trust and foundation representatives to secure grants with a focus on multi-year partnerships.
•Develop and manage the portfolio of major donor prospects, creating tailored engagement plans to maximize their philanthropic potential.
•Lead stewardships events to bring the work to life and to connect supporters with MAP programme colleagues and medical volunteers.
•Collaborate with programmes and communications teams to ensure the team creates persuasive proposals, impactful reports, and engaging donor communications.
•Lead and be responsible for the due diligence procedure for new partners, as well as periodically ensuring that current partners still meet MAP’s guidelines.
Budgets, reporting and compliance
•Lead, create and manage annual and three-year rolling budgets working with programmes, communications and finance.
•Working with the Head of Fundraising Operations, provide reporting for the SMT and Board on a quarterly basis, and at a team level on a monthly basis, highlighting risks and opportunities and making necessary adjustments to ensure continued success.
•Ensure all grant applications and reports are submitted punctually and meet funders' requirements.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Skills and Experience
•A strong track record of securing major gifts, grants, and corporate partnerships.

•Experience working with Trustees, Senior Management Teams and other stakeholders within an organisation to embed, promote and develop a private fundraising culture across projects and programmes, and close a deal.

About The Role
From restoring nature and providing homes for wildlife to protecting communities from the devastating impact of flooding, wetlands are a powerful weapon in the fight against the climate crisis. And we’re looking for an experienced Communications Officer to deliver creative communications that help inspire 1million people to take action to protect, restore and create bigger, better, more connected wetlands.
This role will work across communications disciplines, flexing to support the team’s priorities. However, there will be a particular focus on external campaigning and helping to build a bolder voice for wetlands through communications and campaigning activity. This is a really exciting opportunity to make a real difference for nature, to speak up for wetlands and wildlife and inspire new and existing audiences with our messages.
We’re an organisation of action, running multiple conservation projects and networks in the UK and around the world, as well as our own 10 wetland visitor sites in the UK. This hands-on role demands flexibility, imagination and a willingness to lead on delivering impactful and dynamic communications. You’ll help us tell the story of wetlands and WWT, inspire our colleagues and volunteers and support our campaigning capacity at WWT.
About You
We are seeking an individual:
- Experienced in delivering successful communications plans aimed at a diverse range of audiences, including the public, supporters, policy makers and stakeholders.
- With a track record of delivering creative communications activity across a range of internal and external channels, including social, events, media, PR and digital content.
- A creative thinker and engaging writer, you’ll be able to seek out and tell stories aimed at driving public engagement and behaviour change, which leads to direct action for a cause.
- With experience pitching stories proactively into the media, and a general understanding of the media landscape.
- Comfortable building relationships externally and internally, with a range of levels and stakeholders from journalists and partners to senior leaders and volunteers.
- Experienced in working in complex organisations and turning technical data and evidence into engaging communications and campaigns to inspire and drive support with key target audiences.
- Organised and able to manage competing priorities while remaining calm in a busy working environment.

The Role
The Fundraising Officer – Partnerships is an important new role within the Fundraising Team, acting as the face of the Charity and first point of contact for potential corporate supporters and other donors.
Leading on delivering Wonderseekers’ Curiosity Collective corporate fundraising campaign, this is your chance to develop your corporate fundraising skills to deliver a small, personal annual income target. Previous fundraising experience is a bonus, but not essential as support and training will be available. However, you must have impeccable interpersonal and presentation skills, be comfortable representing the Charity and engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders, be results-focused and willing to learn.
Working as part of a small, growing Team of experienced fundraisers, the Fundraising Officer - Partnerships will play a key supporting role to the Team, providing exceptional stewardship to donors. Whilst supporting members of the Team with research and pipeline development, preparing briefing papers and funding proposals and writing and implementing cultivation and stewardships plans, there will be lots of opportunities for personal development and the potential for promotion within the Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the rolling corporate campaign recruitment plan, including attending networking events, sending out partner packs, activity and preparing /delivering face to face pitches
- Co-ordinate the corporate campaign marketing activity, liaising with the Marketing and Communications team.
- Provide exceptional, ongoing stewardship to all members of the corporate campaign
- Monitor all grants and donations received, ensuring that these are acknowledged and thanked in a timely manner and assist with other stewardship activities
- Maintain and champion the fundraising CRM, Donorfy, providing administrative support to other users as required (training provided)

The position of Fundraising Support Officer is a vital role within our Supporter Care team. The Supporter Care team is often the first point-of-call for Trinity’s supporters and fundraising queries – with communication across phone, e-mail and post channels.
The Fundraising Support Officer provides an important part of the donor experience ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately, and donations are thanked in a timely manner.

As Fundraising Supporter Officer, you will:
- Process cash, credit/debit card and CAF donations received via post, telephone and online platforms (e.g. JustGiving, Stripe, Enthuse).
- Thank donors appropriately, liaising with Fundraising Managers as needed.
- Perform bank statement reconciliation, which includes processing standing orders, direct debits, online giving and legacies.
- Answer incoming calls to the Fundraising Team and respond to general email enquiries, maintaining Trinity’s clear tone of voice and style.
- Work as part of the wider Fundraising team providing support and participating in other duties where required.
- Support and attend fundraising events, occasionally outside of normal working hours.
- Work in a hybrid model of some days in the office and others from home.

A leading Multi-Academy Trust comprised of 11 primary and secondary schools in the East Midlands is seeking a minimum of 2 Strategic Finance Business Partners for full-time, permanent roles.
With a salary of £54,939 per annum plus an excellent local government pension scheme, the roles will be largely onsite at the Trust’s Head Office in Kettering and onsite at the schools – either in Kettering, Corby or Wisbech.
The roles will involve producing management accounts and genuine strategic finance business partnering to a range of budget holders in schools – headteachers, senior leadership team members, catering and IT Managers etc. There may also be some budgeting and analysis at central Trust level in addition to working with the schools.
The role also involves costing and cost analysis, interpreting complex financial data, journal postings and assisting with year-end close.
Being a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) is an essential criteria for these roles. Prior experience within a Multi-Academy Trust or from within the Education sector would be advantageous. Experience working with facilities, catering or IT budgets and departments would also be of interest – but not essential.
The roles are responsible for enhancing strategic financial analysis and insight to enable the understanding, of financial reporting on Trust performance to key stakeholders, including the Trust Executive Team, Heads of Professions and school leadership teams. The roles will ensure the efficient and effective allocation of resource, integrating finance and curriculum planning, allocating and managing finance in line with ESFA and academy handbook financial requirements.
The positions report to the Head of Finance Business Partnering and do not line manage anyone.
Duties will include:
-Develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders across the Trust, ensuring KPIS, professional strategic financial advice and guidance is provided and applied effectively
-Ensure monthly reporting is accurate, fit for purpose and facilitates effective decision making at school and Trust level in conjunction with the requirements of the CFO and best practice
-Provide analysis and insight, linking financial reports to School and Trust strategies
-Provide ongoing higher-level support and guidance on financial matters to relevant stakeholders
-Support and advise budget holders on the development and submission of business cases as and when required, maximising the link and priority of good financial stewardship and front-line education delivery
-To undertake project- based work for specific projects and programmes
-Provide quality information as required for external bodies for example to the ESFA or the external auditors
-To undertake any other duties, commensurate with the level of the post, as may be required from time to time.
Candidate requirements:
-Fully-qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA accountant essential
-Demonstrable experience in a similar Senior/Strategic Finance Business Partnering role – ideally dealing with multiple cost-centres and a diverse range of budget holders
-The ability to be hands-on and produce management accounts, journal entries etc
-Experience with costing / cost analysis
-Creative and pragmatic problem solver with the ability to interpret and present back on complex financial data
-The ability to work onsite at the Trust’s Head Office in Kettering on a Wednesday, and spend the rest of the week onsite at the allocated schools in Kettering, Corby or Wisbech (it may be possible to work from home 1 day per week)
-An interest in the Education sector is highly desirable

You will lead the Trusts and Foundations income generation across projects, supported by the Director of Development and Head of Development, to secure grants for the organisations and its work. You will effectively develop funding partnerships and relationships aligned to the strategic priorities. You will manage and deliver the whole cycle of trusts and foundations income generation, including regular prospecting, producing impactful funder reports and maintaining our CRM system.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Community Education Officer plays an important role in both collaborating with communities to take part in shared learning and disseminating findings to wider audiences throughout the project, informing how it develops and boosting its impact. You will work in partnership with individuals and their communities, under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager as part of the education and advocacy programme. This will include cooperative identification of changes to the food system in Knowsley in the last century, engaging project participants in discussing those changes and raising awareness to wider audiences, supporting the project to achieve its aim of creating a shared understanding and celebrating Knowsley’s heritage and influencing strategies to shape the future of the borough, through sustained, quality engagement. You will support the Community Research Coordinator to capture qualitative and quantitative data that will inform reporting and contribute project monitoring and evaluation, participant outcomes and signposting groups & individuals to project activities with the aim of improving community participation & influence in our work.

Key Responsibilities

The External Communications Officer forms part of the Communications and Engagement Directorate, reporting into the Senior External Communications Manager. Given the growth of the Institute, the external communications officer would join a busy team in a vibrant and energetic communications and marketing department. QuarterFive are delighted to be partnering with The Orpheus Centre, which supports young disabled adults to live and work as independently as they are able. They do this through developing their confidence and independent living skills, using arts-based, bespoke learning, work experience and supported living programmes delivered from their base in Surrey. All of their learners are learning disabled and some are also physically disabled.
The Orpheus Centre is located at a beautiful converted farm that provides teaching and performance spaces and self-contained accommodation. However, their success in enabling these young people to thrive means that they are over subscribed every year and have outgrown the current facilities.
The capital appeal will convert a building next to the Centre to allow for more learners to enrol, in particular more learners with more complex needs. Currently, the quiet phase is projected for 2024-2027, with the build phase being projected for 2027-2029.
The Head of Capital Appeal will sit on the SMT, reporting to the CEO, and be responsible for leading a small team of fundraisers also dedicated to raising funds for the build. While there will be a team to support, the Head of Capital Appeal will spend most of their time personally fundraising as well. There are existing opportunities, including a well-connected President (also the Founder), a Capital Appeal Committee which will be set up, and an existing pool of donors. A focus on new business, however, will also be crucial for the success of the project.
As Head of Capital Appeal, you will:
- Develop, implement and monitor the private and public phases of the capital appeal strategy to enable the Orpheus Centre to meet the appeal target
- Establish a high performing capital appeal committee of volunteers to cultivate and steward potential significant donors
- Deliver target income from a range of sources, primarily major donors, trusts and foundations and statutory sources, but not discounting other viable income streams
- Personally secure significant major gifts for the capital project
- Design, recruit and lead a team of fundraisers to support on fundraising for the capital project
- Research and identify potential funders for the capital project
- Work closely with the build project team, to ensure clear communication between the funding and the building of the project
