Location: Home working with regular travel along M1 corridor between Sheffield and Derby, you'll need to live within 1 hours travel of these key locations.

The Role:
Planning the project set up
Over the first 6 months of the role and in conjunction with the CEO and Operations Director, you will plan and begin execution of the housing pilot. This will include the development of a fully costed project plan.
Part of the project set up will include working with a wide range of stakeholders: Local Authorities, Landlords or housing providers, Registered Providers, Funders and relevant regulatory bodies.
You will be responsible for securing the use of suitable properties, working with contractors to ensure maintenance and establishing all relevant policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practice are followed as well as developing standard operating procedures for service delivery.
With excellent communication skills and working knowledge, you will establish relationships with relevant Housing Benefit departments to ensure income is secured on behalf of our residents and work on gaining Supported Exempt Accommodation Status.
Planning for service delivery
Your role will involve the development and oversight of case management support to all residents, including recruiting and line managing support workers.
Taking into account the wishes and needs of the residents, you will develop a high-quality service which meets regulatory standards and compliance with Regulator of Social Housing Standards.
As a pilot, you will work in conjunction with the Operations Director to monitor outcomes and evaluate the service to ensure we are meeting agreed expectations.

The Role
The Senior Finance Administrator is essential to the financial operations of the organisation and is responsible for preparing and sending accurate invoices, managing AR/AP, preparing budgets and reports, improving internal processes and handling finance-related enquiries.
Working closely with the staff team and board, the Senior Finance Administrator provides business support, while ensuring that all financial processes align with the co-operative’s values and strategic goals.
Main duties include:
• Ensure the effective day-to-day running for financial operations in line with processes and procedures
• Regularly review finance systems and processes, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.

About You

Senior Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships
The Senior Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships will lead fundraising, outreach, and engagement for the WRC at the level of both strategy and implementation. The WRC’s current annual budget is US$3.3 million, and we seek to grow this in line with our program strategy to roughly $5–6 million over the next two to three years.
Areas of responsibility include:
- Designing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to progressively increase annual revenue, including identifying, building relationships with, and securing new funding from foundations, other institutional funders, and individuals, as well as pursuing opportunities to expand relationships with current funders;
- Creating and implementing a framework for strategic external partnership communications, including working with the WRC’s global field team to convey the real-world impact of the WRC’s work and overseeing relevant enhancements to the WRC’s website and other communications pathways;
- Leading on grant writing and framing of external communications;
- Supporting the Executive Director and other colleagues to engage with, and ensure coherent messaging to, donors and other partners—including ensuring that the WRC participates in relevant conferences, convenings, and other discussions related to our organizational mission and objectives;
- Supervising the work of a second development professional who has day-to-day responsibility for grant management, grant reporting, implementation of sub-grantee/grantor arrangements, management of the organization’s small individual donor program, and who also assists with preparation of grant proposals;
- Monitoring progress on grant-funded projects through regular communication with program staff;
- Participating in the development of overall organizational strategy and aligning fundraising strategies accordingly; and
- Contributing to financial reporting and oversight.
This is a full-time position, available immediately. The position is hybrid for a successful candidate who resides in the Washington, DC-area or remote in the case of a candidate who resides elsewhere.
The WRC will consider candidates located within six hours of the US Eastern time zone. For international candidates and US candidates based outside of Washington, DC, the position requires periodic travel to Washington, DC, and possibly other countries in which the WRC works. The Senior Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships will report to the WRC’s Executive Director.
Qualifications
Candidates must have:
- A minimum of seven years’ experience in fundraising for nonprofit organizations and/or seven years’ combined experience with fundraising and strategic communications;
- A substantial track record of successfully cultivating institutional donors and proven experience in establishing new fundraising partnerships;
- Significant experience in communications and storytelling, with an ability to distill complex analysis and program work into communications that inspire and motivate our audiences;
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to initiate, build, and maintain working relationships with existing and potential grantors and a global team across numerous time zones;
- Strong budget management skills and experience delivering against financial targets;
- Excellent organizational and project management skills and rigorous attention to detail;
- Energy, enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a sense of humor; and
- A commitment to workers’ rights and corporate accountability.
The following are desirable but not required:
- Experience with labor rights work; and
- Experience working in an international context.
Compensation
Compensation for this position is $115,000–$135,000 per year, depending on relevant experience (adjusted to the local currency, where applicable). The WRC provides its US staff, who are covered by a union contract, with an excellent benefits package, including 100% employer-paid family health insurance, including dental and vision care, with an additional flexible spending plan with employer contribution; 401(k) retirement plan with employer contribution; and five weeks paid vacation.

About the Service
Hertfordshire Mind Network’s Nightlight Service is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing Mental health Crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways. We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our Helpline, Crisis Cafes and a 24/7 Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary.
As a member of our team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach as to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect.
About the role
As a Crisis House Support Worker, you will work closely with other staff as part of a team in supporting the development of quality Crisis Support and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the provision.
Purpose of Post
To be a key member of staff supporting the delivery of the Nightlight mental health Crisis Service. You will take part in a rota which covers a 24/7 hour service, 365 days a year. Drawing upon your own lived and/or professional experience (where applicable,) in order to provide a mix of face-to-face, therapeutic and holistic support for those accessing overnight provision. You will work closely with other staff as part of a team in supporting the development of quality Crisis Support and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the provision.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide emotional support and work towards developing, flexible and realistic crisis/person-centred plans with Service Users.
- To work within agreed guidelines with and for Service Users, whilst being guided and supported by Senior Staff (as well as the Leadership team) in regard to documents/plans such as: Assessments of Need, Risk, Crisis support plans and Review forms.
- (If applicable) To draw upon one’s own lived experience as appropriate, as to promote the delivery of person-centred support.
- To provide immediate and appropriate advice and information to clients as to support with crisis prevention.
- To liaise with Nightlight management and external services such as: police, ambulance service, Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team, Single Point of Access, Safeguarding Out of Hours Service, Mental Health Liaison Teams, Adult Community Mental health Services, etc. as needed in terms of accepting referrals and proactively recognising the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitating appropriate support.
- Complete appropriate signposting/onward referrals to both internal and external services in accordance with identified needs and risks.
- Ensuring record keeping is maintained to the required standards at all times and contributing to service monitoring requirements.
- Arranging transport for service users to facilitate access to services as needed.
- Assisting with housekeeping/cleaning tasks as necessary and reporting any maintenance problems in line with policy and Health and Safety standards.
- Support clients with activities of daily living as required.
- To participate in all Training and Development opportunities relevant to the role and those included in one’s Personal Development Plan, as agreed with line manager.
- To contribute to the co-development of the service by supporting Service User, Family and Carer involvement by obtaining feedback and supporting (where necessary) opportunities to be involved in wider service reviews.

As a Senior Practitioner, I take responsibility for my own work and have a responsibility in assisting or supervising others in the team to achieve the overall team/service outcomes. I have a lead role in developing my part of the service/project.
