Oasis’ work and mission has grown rapidly in the last decade. We are looking to recruit a HR Business Partner to help us move into our next phase of growth and build the capacity of our Oasis Operations Team. 

This is a new and integral position in our charity, so you will need solid employee relation experience and employment law knowledge, to advise managers confidently. Working as part of the established Operations Team, you will also input into finance and budgets, recruitment at senior levels, and developing our policies in line with our ethos and 9 Habits. It’s a bit of everything, which is what makes this role exciting and a great opportunity for someone who is eager to get hands-on experience in working on the People Strategy of a national charity. At Shared Lives Plus we work with local organisations to help them grow providing consulting, training and improvement support to help them review, grow and diversify Shared Lives and Homeshare across the UK. This year the Strategic Advice team will be supporting a number of local authorities and their partners in the NHS, housing, and the voluntary and community sector to delivery local Accelerating Reform Fund (ARF) funded projects, a new £42.6m new innovation fund which has been set up to support innovation in adult social care. About the Role

Role Summary

The purpose of the post is:

• To organise and deliver a range of on-site corporate, donor, Capital and other ad-hoc events generated by the Development department, such as drink receptions, seated dinners, backstage talks, private building tours, press nights and corporate training events. In collaboration with the Head of Events, taking ownership of, and leading on, a combination of these events.
• To assist in the delivery of all major fundraising events.
• To lead on all events administrative duties including managing the schedule of events and communicating information to internal departments, external suppliers and sponsor stakeholders.

Your Team

The Development Events Manager is essential to deliver events that support the aims of the team and organisation.

We are at a key stage in our fundraising efforts, as we continue to raise funds for our capital development, a new Backstage building adjoining the existing historical building, which will house a new studio theatre, learning centre and café/workspaces over five storeys. Ground has been broken on this exciting project and we aim to open it in 2025.

You will be joining a high performing Development team who take great pride in their work to raise income for The Old Vic. Whilst you’ll sit within the wider Development team, the events team is a busy team consisting of the Events Manager and Head of Events. Your skills will lie in organisation, teamwork, superb attention to detail and event planning and delivery.

Areas of responsibility

The Development Events Manager will be responsible for:

Event Planning & Organisation:

• Prior to a show going on sale, working with the Development team to schedule all the department’s event requirements, ensuring tickets and spaces are held in good time
• Support in organising all event logistics such as catering, drinks, flowers, furniture hire, entertainment, lighting and negotiating the best price with external contractors

• To manage relationships with clients, suppliers and internal Old Vic teams to the highest possible standards
• Ensure guest speakers are booked in, sending timely reminders and speech/briefing notes
• Approaching creative teams, The Old Vic’s Senior Management team, and cast to ensure they attend the necessary events
• Liaising with wider Development team to gather any outstanding information for upcoming events
• Completing events memos and confidently discussing them at weekly meetings

• Planning and managing all event deadlines and ensuring information is circulated and received in good time with internal stakeholders, external clients and suppliers; such as RSVPs, final numbers and dietary requirements
• Supported by the Head of Events, plan and deliver 1-2 Press Night parties a year
• Leading on the scheduling, planning and delivery of The Old Vic’s lucrative and developing Corporate Training programme, including liaison with and contracting of facilitators, external clients, caterers and Stage Team, booking space and producing schedules, while working closely with the Corporate Development officer to ensure outstanding quality of delivery.

Event Delivery:

• Attending evening, early morning and weekend events as and when required

• Overseeing the event setup, ensuring all requirements are met. Delivering the event in partnership with the Event Duty Manager and representing the Development team at events
• Being the central contact for the Event Duty Manager, Event Team, caterer, suppliers, internal stakeholders and external clients
• Managing guest arrival and confidently circulating staff and cast around the room with the support of relevant senior team members
• Corporate Training events (including offsite Corporate Training)
• To support colleagues and Head of Events with the delivery of the Backstage building’s event activity

Event Support for Major Events:

• Providing general administrative and event management support for major or ad-hoc fundraising events that may be planned. This support would include:
  • Supporting the Head of Events in many aspects of event scheduling, planning and delivery
  • Selling tickets, overseeing guest communications and marketing
  • To collate all T&Cs for the auction lots and upload copies onto external online site
  • Generating ideas for the auction and proactively making asks
  • Compiling the programme, liaising with the graphic designer
  • Working closely with the Head of Events and Producer to manage all talent communication and logistics, and assisting with the pastoral care of actors, creative and production staff
  • Organising travel, itineraries, booking tickets, and arranging accommodation as required
  • Scheduling team briefings and preparing briefing content/packs and contact sheets

Overseeing the live event lifecycle alongside the Head of Events, Producer and Production Manager; supporting the team with any requests and assistance on the day

• Post-event maintenance will include taking payments for pledges/auction prizes; sending thank you gifts and arranging debriefs
• Once the event has wrapped, the Events team continues to deliver auction prizes year-round.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Organising signatures for memento books and auction prizes
• To ensure Risk Assessments are in place for all event activity. Representing the Development/ Events team as the Health and Safety representative
• Maintaining the calendars used by the Events team to utmost accuracy:
  • Keeping the management of the Clash Calendar and Skedda system up to date with new/cultural events, holidays, etc.
  • Booking in additional events as they arise
• Booking tickets for some events and ad-hoc where necessary via Tessitura; maintaining event attendance on Tessitura
• Processing payments, raising POs and ensuring all events run within an agreed budget
• Representing The Old Vic as part of the Development Events Network; undertaking proactive steps to build industry contacts and create supportive networks with peer organisations
• To comply with The Old Vic’s Equal Opportunities, Sustainability and Health & Safety and Staff Handbook policies at all times.

As a senior youth worker you will be part of the team at Carney’s community, involved in the running of the youth boxing sessions, youth club and bike workshop. The post will start before the lead youth worker is on maternity leave to allow you time to get to know the team, the young people and for effective handover when you will be given responsibility for overseeing the youth club and bike workshop sessions and work in partnership with the head coach to run the youth boxing sessions. Role and Responsibilities

We are looking to recruit a law graduate (1-3 years post-graduation) with experience in environmental law, economic justice and/or international development to join our small but dynamic team. Depending on experience, the role will support our programmes challenging economic injustice caused by environmental damage, biodiversity loss, deforestation, illegal resource trafficking, climate change and conflicts over natural resources; promoting transparency and accountability in public and private institutions to encourage responsibility and minimise the impacts of corruption; and promoting fairer and more effective economic and fiscal policy tools to help states meet development goals and enhance the rule of law. A more detailed explanation of our work is set out in our 2024-2026 Strategy.

Working as part of a small, busy team, you will have the opportunity to learn at very close hand what it means to work for an international NGO focusing on achieving environmental and economic justice. You will develop projects with a range of partners, including international agencies, NGOs and CSOs, and governments and government bodies. You will collaborate with a range of volunteer lawyers (law firms and barristers chambers) who are leading experts in their field. The role will also involve project management, assistance with fundraising, fulfilling compliance obligations, and evaluating and learning from projects.

Key Competencies:
• Relevant experience and knowledge (either from previous work experience or study) relating to environmental law and policy and/or economic justice in an international development context;
• A law graduate with a good understanding of how law is useful to achieving reform on the above;

• Ability to develop and manage relationships with a range of stakeholders, including donors, NGOs, civil society organisations and government representatives, on an international basis;

Key Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with the Senior Legal Managers and/or Legal Manager to deliver and implement the programme strategy, in conjunction with the Executive Director, partners, staff and Board;
2. Assist in developing an understanding of the most effective policy tools and legal interventions to deliver the programme objectives, through engagement with volunteer lawyers, ILP partners, staff, Board and others;
3. Support the building and maintenance of ILP’s programme(s). This includes:
• Liaising with partners to identify legal/policy needs and offer potential legal and/or policy reform solutions, including through conducting legal analysis;

Working with and in support of the Director of Transformation some key areas of responsibility will include:

· Support in developing and implementing TMO strategy, including developing and implementing plans for Function maturity.

· Provide inspiring leadership of multi-disciplinary programmes / projects teams within a Cluster, driving change across both strategic and tactical initiatives.

· Support resource management across the Cluster, ensuring effective allocation of resources.

· Provide insights and accurate interpretation of programmes / projects data within the Cluster, ensuring continuous and effective reporting to senior management.

· Active engagement with the Cluster Executive owner and key stakeholders for continuous improvement.

Job description

As Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will manage and grow our relationships with partners and donors from the private sector, who support our work through donations, employee fundraising and volunteering activities. 

The successful candidate will thrive on cultivating and executing a fantastic experience for our corporate partners, finding opportunities to maximise their engagement and deliver fundraised income targets. The role will focus on managing and growing our existing relationships.

Key Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Manage the charity’s relationships with a portfolio of corporate partners

• Implement account management practices that support continued development and growth of key relationships, ensuring partners feel looked after, valued and understand the impact of their support. 

• Develop strong working internal relationships with colleagues, charity partners and volunteers, to identify suitable opportunities to bring to life the cause and solutions for partners and their employees. 

• Liaison between corporate partners and our volunteer programmes function, connecting partner employees to opportunities and stewarding the activity. 

• Create high quality reports, proposals and presentations that communicate the impact of our work and partnerships. 

• Ensure impactful relationships with challenge event providers and other fundraising products, taking responsibility for selling places in to partners to support fundraising and engagement. 

• Meet income targets of minimum c. £500k pa.

• Ensure the charity complies with the fundraising regulator code of practice and fundraising compliance legislation. 

• Track and report on income, working with Finance as needed 

• Represent The Childhood Trust at events, visits and meetings 

• Contribute to the ongoing development and execution of The Childhood Trust’s strategic goals. 

The skills we are looking for: 

• Excellent communication and social skills to communicate with different audiences, including at Senior level
• Partnership management experience, ideally in a corporate enviroment 
• A passion to support children living in poverty and the mission of the Childhood Trust
• Track record in securing income 
• Great presentation and negotiation skills
• A proven ability to establish long-term relationships with partners and businesses
• Experience and ability to lead projects and manage project groups. 
• Ability to spot opportunities, identify partners' needs and drivers and match these with the stretegic priorities of the Childhood Trust.
• Ability to work autonomously and have an appetite for continuous improvement.

Role Description

The role of Senior Alumni Engagement Coordinator is to develop and maintain effective and long-lasting relationships with SEO alumni, through volunteering initiatives that encourage engagement including-  creating volunteering opportunities, communications, events and stewardship. Stakeholder management is key to this role, and as such they need to be adaptable and have proven experience in managing stakeholders and multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills and a track record in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders is fundamental to this role.  

SEO London Alumni Relations Programme
SEO has a long history with our first alumni cohort graduating from the class of 2001. Our role is the nurture relationships with our vast pool of alumni, through an exciting engagement programme which includes industry networking events, social gatherings, newsletters and communications, volunteering opportunities and access to our talent pool. We create avenues for our alumni to stay connected to SEO as well as the broader network and open doors for them in industry. Creating advocates who would recommend our programmes and support the next generation of under represented students to gain access to sectors which may not be immediately available to them.

Accountabilities

VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT

• Working with the Head of Alumni Relations create our volunteering programme, providing a tangible offer for Alumni to continue to give back as members of our community as well as develop personally.  
• Co- create and maintain a Volunteering database which will sit within the CRM and allow us to track, monitor and thank our volunteers accordingly. Helping to provide a better service to our alumni who have chosen to give their time. 
• Create innovative ways through robust communication channels to attract volunteers to our roles 
• Develop an engagement plan for our alumni, how do we steward our volunteers, do they receive a volunteering newsletter? How do we help them understand the impact they are having? 
• Maintain the CRM and update with all active roles and progress  
• Provide volunteering insights on a monthly basis to track and monitor the success of our recruitment offer

COMMUNICATIONS

• Alongside the Head of Alumni Relations you will be responsible for managing the creation and delivery of the Monthly newsletter, as an active participant in editorial meetings, you will be responsible for creating content and publishing the monthly newsletter 
• As Comms lead for Social media you will be responsible for posting frequently across Linked In and Instagram to build engagement with our audience on these platforms  
• You will provide monthly reporting on Newsletter open rates, the success of our comms in engaging our alumni as well as likes/ shares/ comments on social media EVENTS

EVENTS

• Supporting the Head of Alumni Relations in the delivery of monthly events, assisting with promotion as well as representing the team where possible at the events. 

DATA

• Ensuring the CRM is kept up to date with all alumni data, highlighting any issues or concerns and providing solutions where possible, adhering to GDPR at all times. 

CONNECT

• Our alumni engagement platform is specifically designed to engage our alumni and support them in connecting and expanding their personal network. Here they will find CPD opportunities, careers support and access to industry insights.  
• The successful candidate will support the Head of Alumni Relations with processing all new members onto the CRM  
• Lead on content for the platform to encourage engagement with our members

Required qualifications

• University degree (any discipline)  

• 2 - 5 years volunteer management/ Alumni Relations experience
