The role of the Direct Marketing Executive is a varied one. Working with different teams & suppliers, you will be supporting and delivering direct marketing campaigns online, offline and across a range of media channels. The acquisition programme is an evolving one and there is change and growth happening in a lot of interesting areas at a fast pace.
As well as running day-to-day activity on your own campaigns, the post holder will be responsible for supporting the wider acquisition team by ensuring data and supporter engagement processes are running smoothly across campaigns. Alongside this, they will ensure compliance and adherence to the most recent regulations and codes of practice is top of the agenda.
Fundraising experience is not essential for the role, but we are looking for someone with the desire and self-motivation to learn and develop, and the drive and passion to change the future for those affected by dementia. The successful candidate will be able to show this, be collaborative and enthusiastic, want to learn and develop, and be keen to get involved with the activities of the team right away.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Campaign Management
· Support with planning and delivery of a wide range of supporter engagement and fundraising activities including digital marketing and face-to-face fundraising.
· Support with the creation of content copywriting for digital adverts.
· Work with others in the team to conduct mystery shopping, shadowing and call listening to measure fundraising quality and ensure compliance.
· Liaise with designers, printers, mailing houses, agencies, and fulfilment houses.
· Support the day-to-day management of fundraising agencies and suppliers, ensuring relationships are effective and productive.
· Assist in the production and delivery of motivating fundraiser training.
· Support in recommendations for change and refinement across the direct marketing programme.
Finance & Reporting
· Daily campaign tracking and reporting
· Administer the recording, reconciliation, and processing of invoices to be paid from acquisition Direct Marketing nominal codes.
Other duties
· Tracking and evaluating competitor and industry trends, collaborating with the other Direct Marketing Executive to provide recommendations to the wider team for potential improvements and testing opportunities.
· Keep up to date on the latest developments within the sector relating to best practice in fundraising.
· Proof-read direct marketing materials and collateral.
· Regularly attend, support, and contribute to meetings and events.
· Ensure compliance and adherence to the most recent regulations and codes of practice.
· Keep up to date with dementia news, research developments and the work of ARUK and consider the impact on campaigns.
· Undertake any other relevant duties and projects delegated by the Senior Direct Marketing Officer in line with the responsibilities of the post.

· Experience of using Microsoft packages; particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals. This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

We're looking for an experienced Proposal Writer, High-Value Audiences to join our fundraising team on a 24-month contract. You will play a critical role in the Fundraising Growth programme: an internal change programme that will strengthen and scale fundraising capabilities across the National Trust so that we can create a step-change in our fundraising income - essential to delivering the Trust’s new 2035 strategy.

What it's like to work here
The Fundraising team is dynamic, ambitious and focused on making things happen; playing a vital role in enabling the National Trust to deliver its purpose. Our team sits within the Support and Revenue Directorate, which brings together our supporter-facing income streams from Membership to Fundraising through to our Commercial teams.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, and you’ll be expected to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. What you'll be doing
You’ll be writing compelling and engaging text, which sets out a clear case for support for a broad range of projects for high-value audiences, made up of Corporations, Major Donors, Grant Makers and Trusts & Foundations. You'll produce creative and attractive proposals using photos, graphics and charts, refining large volumes of content into one persuasive document using judgement to decide the most powerful and tangible information for inclusion.
You’ll have a broad range of stakeholders across National Trust with whom you'll have to prepare clear, concise and compelling written material in support of fundraising projects. You will build and maintain strong communication with project development teams and fundraisers. Requiring you to engage with, and ask critical questions of, technical experts and senior leaders to develop proposal content.
You’ll be working in a proposition development team and will work closely with your team members on the development and authoring of propositions. You will be working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment where priorities can change according to adjustments in fundraising strategies. You will need to plan time efficiently to manage multiple requests and large-scale proposals.

You will have excellent communication skills & will support the Operation Managers to maintain the highest standards of service delivery, across a widely geographically dispersed team. Your team will cover Central and East of England including; South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedforshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex.
You must live within one of these areas and be prepared to travel across the geographical area including occasional overnight stays to ensure you can meet team members in person as well as online. This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. About the Role
To work as part of a team delivering an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable clients in supported or community-based accommodation. Your work will be underpinned by the Depaul Endeavour model of assets-based, psychologically informed delivery. The aim of which is to ensure that every client leaves a Depaul service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.
Working under the direction, guidance and support of a manager/senior worker you will be responsible for a caseload of (5) clients as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service.
In accommodation-based services, you will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in a positive and successful move on. The role will have responsibility under Depaul’s commitment to successfully deliver the contracted outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
· You will ensure the safety and well-being of clients in the service at all times possible including using Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable,
· It should not be seen as precluding future changes after appointment to this role.
· You will carry a caseload of clients for whom you will be the named key worker, and you will also take joint responsibility with your team members for the well-being and day-to-day support of all clients in the services
· You will lead on risk and needs assessment and support planning for your key clients and contribute to ongoing needs and risk assessment of other clients in the service
· You will develop and implement SMART outcomes-based support plans for your key clients
· You will deliver one-to-one and group support opportunities within their accommodation and in the local community aimed at increasing resilience in the clients we work with.
