Purpose of the job/About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Dementia UK’s Marketing and Communications Team.
As the Designer, you will bring our brand to life through high-quality, compelling, and on-brand design work across a range of offline and online assets. We are currently at the early stages of a brand review project, and you’ll play a pivotal part in activating and rolling out our refreshed brand across various channels in 2025.
Day to day, you’ll collaborate closely with the Editorial Manager to review and update our suite of information leaflets. Working on a wide range of projects across the charity, you will collaborate with teams such as Fundraising, Clinical, Campaigns, and Business Development. Additionally, you’ll provide feedback on designs developed by agencies and external suppliers, ensuring they align with our visual identity, in conjunction with the Senior Creative Manager.
As a champion of the Dementia UK brand, you’ll maintain brand consistency across design projects, support brand and design approvals, and monitor the brand inbox.
To succeed in this role, you will have solid experience working in design within an in-house team or agency, in a multi-disciplinary graphic design role. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud, along with strong design knowledge, is essential. You should be well-organised, capable of managing your own workload, and able to work with your line manager to assess capacity. Additionally, you will have experience championing and adhering to brand guidelines, as well as incorporating accessibility principles into your designs.

About the Role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) and Lebanon.
The Deputy Director of Philanthropy will play a pivotal role in advancing MAP's mission by leading and expanding our fundraising efforts across trusts and foundations, major donors and corporate partnerships in the UK and internationally. Duties and key responsibilities
Leadership, Strategy and Planning
•Build and inspire a high-performing, results-oriented team focused on delivering fundraising targets through tailored partnership plans
•Lead the development of the Philanthropy and Partnerships strategy, setting ambitious targets in line with the fundraising strategy and goals in the UK and globally.
•Collaborate with the Director and Heads of teams to develop team plans aligned with the Fundraising and Marketing strategy.

Relationship Development and Management
•Cultivate and manage strong relationships with corporates, major donors, trust and foundation representatives to secure grants with a focus on multi-year partnerships.
•Develop and manage the portfolio of major donor prospects, creating tailored engagement plans to maximize their philanthropic potential.
•Lead stewardships events to bring the work to life and to connect supporters with MAP programme colleagues and medical volunteers.
•Collaborate with programmes and communications teams to ensure the team creates persuasive proposals, impactful reports, and engaging donor communications.
•Lead and be responsible for the due diligence procedure for new partners, as well as periodically ensuring that current partners still meet MAP’s guidelines.

•Lead, create and manage annual and three-year rolling budgets working with programmes, communications and finance.
•Working with the Head of Fundraising Operations, provide reporting for the SMT and Board on a quarterly basis, and at a team level on a monthly basis, highlighting risks and opportunities and making necessary adjustments to ensure continued success.

The programme is part of the Mayor of London’s flagship violence reduction programme, known as MyEnds. It is a place-based violence reduction initiative that adopts a public health approach. The programme also aims to improve statutory and voluntary organisation networks and access to referral, and to ensure the voices of young people and community members are built into provision. The Role of the Network and Communications Lead
The Network and Communications Lead will be a key member of the team delivering the I AM Brent MyEnds programme. They will lead on liaison with voluntary sector providers and statutory service providers, including Brent Council, the police and schools, and on strengthening networks between them to help young people stay safe. They will be responsible for implementing I AM Brent’s communication strategy. About the role

The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial manager with a high level of data literacy. We are looking for someone strategic, highly organised and a strong people and team manager. They will be confident at communicating data in a variety of ways to a large range of audiences, identifying key take-aways and the broader implications of the findings on our clients and programming. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for growing income from our community fundraising and major donor relationships, so that an even greater impact can be made on adopted young people and their families. You will lead on all community fundraising initiatives, including appeals, fundraising campaigns, and external challenge events. You will drive innovation in our approach to fundraising. In addition, you will work closely with the Head of Partnerships and Senior Leadership Team to help us secure and manage all key fundraising relationships with major donors.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Supported by the Head of Partnerships and Senior Leadership team, take ownership of developing, delivering and monitoring fundraising events and activities in line with our fundraising strategy
· Manage existing and develop new innovative fundraising campaigns and activities to engage new and existing supporters & donors including legacies, external challenge events, digital fundraising campaigns, community activities, and large-scale events.
· Work with the team marketing lead to create compelling copy to promote events and help recruit supporters and donors.
· Work with all Adoption UK teams to support local fundraising activities in each of the four nations including membership and community teams
· Create and manage a volunteer fundraising programme to support more community fundraising across the organisation, including volunteer fundraiser recruitment.
· Analyse and report on the success of campaigns and programmes.

The Senior Fundraising Operations Officer will lead on a number of weekly and monthly data import processes, ensuring income and supporter contact data is loaded accurately onto the CRM system.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Database Manager in the management and development of the Charity CRM database, championing its use across fundraising and identifying opportunities for system development. They will also work with colleagues across fundraising and communications to support the selection of data for marketing campaigns.
Key tasks
- Lead on the import of both online and offline income streams, investigating and resolving anomalies.
- Undertake data marketing selections, in conjunction with the Database Manager, liaising with fundraising colleagues on selection criteria.
- Work with the Database Manager to provide effective database and operational support to end users.
- Undertake all aspects of the Supporter Services Assistant role on days when they are not in the office, ensuring supporter enquiries are responded to, income processed twice weekly and donations thanked.
- Work with the Database Manager to develop and continuously improve database reporting across both Charity CRM and Power BI in support of the fundraising and communications operational plan.

BACKGROUND
The External Communications Officer forms part of the Communications and Engagement Directorate, reporting into the Senior External Communications Manager. Given the growth of the Institute, the external communications officer would join a busy team in a vibrant and energetic communications and marketing department. The postholder manages a wide portfolio of projects, announcements and collaborations, working with stakeholders and partner organisation at the local, national and international level. The External Communications Officer will provide proactive comms planning and project management, media support, advice and expertise on matters relating to the Institute’s external communications.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We’re seeking a candidate with strong written & oral communication skills and demonstrable experience of collaborating with peers & technical experts to create engaging, insight driven communication plans. You should have strong knowledge of current communication industry trends and experience in working with the media in a press office or communications environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with liaising and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders and be able to work flexibly whilst managing a varied workload to tight deadlines.

External communications
- Support priority Turing projects (such as our grand challenges) by being a key contact point for research teams, providing trusted advice and working with your colleagues in the wider comms and engagement directorate to create and deliver related communications plans
