Fundraising is still a relatively new activity for DFN Project SEARCH and this role presents the opportunity to play a key part in its expansion to support the further growth of the charity and enable young adults with a learning disability to lead healthier, happier, and more independent lives.
This role will support the Director of Development in implementing DFN Project SEARCH’s fundraising strategy. To date the strategy has focused on securing a small number of larger gifts from philanthropic sources, such as trusts and foundations. We are now evolving the strategy to include growing income from high-net-worth individuals, companies, and individual giving.
This role will lead on the development and implementation of the strategy to secure income from high-net-worth individuals (between five and potentially seven figures) and will also work with the Director of Development and the Development Officer on securing income from, and stewarding, trusts, foundations, and statutory funders. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team there is also the opportunity to input to the wider strategy and development of the charity and support the Director of Development in their role as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
The team is currently made up of the Director of Development, Corporate Partnership Manager (reporting to the Director of Development), and the Development Officer (reporting to this new role).

Key Responsibilities
Day to day delivery of Internal Comms projects & content:
- Work with the Corporate Communications team and senior leaders to deliver the internal communications strategy
- Develop, deliver and evaluate annual internal communications and engagement plans
- Provide strategic communications input on people-related projects including activities coming out of our new People Strategy
- Work closely with the People and Culture team in a business partnering approach, providing strategic advice and delivering communications for projects
- Develop approaches to measure the success of internal communications, and report on results
- Design approaches and lead activities to help staff engage actively in developing and delivering core areas of our work, from organisational strategy to our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) commitments
- Manage strategic and prioritise internal communications projects
- Manage most communications with staff, ensuring a meaningful and balanced flow of corporate announcements, updates from across the business areas, newsletters, admin messages and internal communications part of wider integrated campaigns
- Support engagement processes with staff across all areas of the organisation
- Maintain and evolve internal comms channels including our intranet
- Support communications to staff in the event of a crisis or urgent event
- Manage all costs relating to internal communications
- Develop our internal tone of voice based on our brands’ personalities and values
- Draft and/or edit all written internal communications to high standards.
- Work with corporate comms and content leads to develop engaging content across a multiple of channels
- Liaise across all parts of our organisation to gather and unearth top-notch content, driving a strategic approach to informing, educating and engaging staff
- Execute and commission communications products in a variety of formats
- Build strong and trusted relationships with colleagues across the organisation
- Working with the People & Culture team and Operations team as key stakeholder groups, taking a business partnering approach, including supporting communications with our Staff Forum

Skills and Experience
This is a hands-on delivery role working in a fast paced and busy environment. You must be able to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload:
- Substantive demonstrable experience delivering internal communications, preferably in the non-profit sector
- Excellent copy-writing and copy-editing skills, with ability to flex tone as required and attention to detail - such as staff emails/updates, briefing & speaker notes for leadership, staff newsletter, PPT presentations & agendas
- Project Management of different projects in an effective way
- Comfortable flexing between strategic thinking and day-to-day delivery
- Confident working with senior leadership and managing stakeholders
- Ability to organise staff events onsite and externally – planning, logistics, tech & AV support, itineraries & presentations
- Excellent at building relationships, collaborative with a win-win approach to negotiating
- Comfortable with emerging ways of working, and working across teams
- Ability to brief and manage external agencies – including collating & managing feedback

What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Senior Legacy Development Manager, you’ll work alongside supportive and skilled colleagues across regions and national teams. You’ll join a collaborative, purpose-driven environment where innovation and respect are at the heart of everything we do.
As the Regional Legacy Development Manager, you’ll be the go-to legacy expert in your region, applying your knowledge of fundraising and supporter engagement to deliver a successful legacy program. By building strong relationships, you’ll raise awareness of legacy giving and integrate it into our fundraising strategy. The Development Manager (Individual Giving) will focus on increasing donations from individual supporters. Working closely with the Head of Development and CEO, you'll be responsible for growing donation schemes for individual supporters, stewarding major donors, delivering public fundraising appeals and promoting opportunities for supporters to make gifts in wills.
We look to recruit a candidate excited to take responsibility for their own area of work as part of a small team. We will consider strong applicants with previous experience in fundraising / development or transferable skills and knowledge from customer-facing roles in other sectors.
This is a full time permanent position with a minimum of 3 days based on site. We are open to flexible working arrangements including part time working and compressed hours.

You will lead Woman’s Trust income generation ensuring adequate income to sustain and grow the organisation, increasing its income from £1.3 Million to £3 Million in the next 3 years. While raising funds from multiple income streams, focus growths areas will be statutory and Trust and foundation funding securing six-figure, multiple-year grants and contracts. You will effectively communicate our services and campaign our aims aligned to our strategic priorities.
You will oversee the development and implementation of the fundraising strategy and the funding pipeline; ensure the maintenance and development of excellent relationships with current and new funders, stewarding grants and reporting back; review, update and develop service budgets; oversee the submission or coordination of quality bids, approaches, and events.
As a member of the senior leadership team, this post will work cross departmentally and will contribute to the overall strategy of Woman’s Trust, working closely with the CEO and the Board of Trustees. You will lead and line manage the Senior Trust and Foundation Manager and Fundraising Officer. You will deliver a direct income target for each year, with a focus on the development and tendering of statutory commissioning.
Hours: 35 hours per week (28 hours will be considered).

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on communications all-rounder with a breadth of skills to help deliver the strategic communications objectives for a national youth charity.
The charity is poised at an exciting phase of growth, with seven large scale youth centres (called Youth Zones) set to open over the next three years, a new three year organisational strategy, and an ambitious strategic communications strategy to support this in place.

About the Role
This is a key role within the communications team that will see you create understanding and awareness between the organisation and the key local and regional audiences that matter, as the charity embarks on its biggest ever period of growth.
This role will involve managing a small portfolio of local end-to-end integrated communications and PR programmes at various stages, to launch new Youth Zones in Barnsley, Crewe, Grimsby and Preston. You will work closely with each Youth Zone’s Relationship Managers and Fundraisers, as well as its CEO, and Trustee Board, and Young People's Development Group, acting as their trusted communications advisor.

We will be looking for someone that can demonstrate a broad range of communications skills from working with local media to place newsworthy, positive stories around the Youth Zones development, to supporting the development of new Youth Zones websites.

The Head of Finance will lead the finance team, ensuring robust financial management and sustainability to support our charitable objectives. With responsibility for a team of five you will lead and provide statutory, financial and management accounting, including all financial planning and analysis, for the Football Foundation (Foundation) and the Premier League Stadium Fund.
The role:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the organisation’s visions e.g. treasury management, developing long term cashflow strategies to maximise returns to the organisation.
- Lead and work with the SMT, Management Group, PMO Lead, and Data & Insight team to create and maintain financial and cost models to support the development and finalisation of strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts, focusing on the relationship between services, resources, and productivity.
- Work with the CFO in preparing and presenting the consolidated budget and plan to the SMT and ARG Committee.
- Develop high level models to support strategic and operational decision making, e.g. assessment of financial sustainability of grant applications and monthly reporting to funders in line with contractual obligations.
- Continue the development and transitioning of the finance team from a mainly transactional team to a team providing forwarding looking information. Enhance collaborative decision making through improved business partnering and transparent reporting.
- Ensure all legal entities comply with relevant legislation and prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax, VAT, Charity Commission, and other statutory financial returns as appropriate.
- Lead and manage the finance team, motivating and developing them so that that they are clearly focused, competent, and work effectively and efficiently.
