We now have an exciting opening for a Head of Media, PR & Editorial. The postholder will be responsible for developing and supporting key campaigns and strategies that help to promote and explain the work, impact, health messaging and funding needs to diverse audiences. You will achieve these through PR and media relations, awareness-raising campaign development, supporter stories, celebrity/ambassador management, and the management of a small team, including staff and specialist consultant support.
We are seeking an experienced communications professional with demonstrable expertise and a track-record of success in managing communications for a charity, health or science-related organisation, including developing successful media strategies, with positive press coverage, and writing clear, engaging copy for different audiences across digital and social media channels. The successful candidate will also have proven experience planning and managing multiple cross-departmental projects.

Join our successful Philanthropy fundraising team and make a real impact. We're seeking an exceptional Philanthropy Executive to join our established team. In this role you’ll engage small to medium sized trusts and major donors, connecting them to the difference they can make to thousands of men and their families facing prostate cancer.
Together with the Senior Philanthropy Executive, and Philanthropy Managers, you will liaise with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that you put together high-quality funding proposals, that will inspire supporters to make four and five figure gifts, which will significantly improve the lives of men facing prostate cancer.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development and delivery of a 3-year train the trainer pilot programme in the chosen pilot locations in England or Scotland.
The pilot will train and equip local health care professionals, health promotion workers and local community workers with the knowledge and resources to promote breast awareness, breast screening and risk reduction messages in their own communities.
Supported by a public health development officer, train the trainer (1 based in England and 1 based in Scotland), who you’ll also line manage, you’ll lead on the development and delivery of the in-person programme, including marketing materials, resource packs and ongoing support for trainees. You’ll also identify opportunities, agree timescales and associated logistics for training delivery within the pilot areas.

We’re looking for someone who is experienced in leading on the development and delivery of insightful and engaging workshops or public health focused projects, to a range of audiences from health or community-based organisations. The right candidate will have a good understanding of health inequalities, the challenges they present to health behaviours and outcomes, and be passionate about addressing these challenges. Our expert team of canine behaviourists provide behavioural support and advice to teams within Battersea, members of the public, and the rescue organisations we work with around the world. The team design and help implement behaviour modification and training plans for dogs whilst coaching members of the canine care groups through the practical day-to-day steps. They also assist with behavioural and welfare assessments of animals who come into our centres and are on hand to help manage and provide further support with dogs with more complex behavioural needs. The team provide support to dogs during their stay at Battersea, and are also available for continued advice after rehoming.
We are now looking to recruit a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor for our team in Old Windsor. Within this role, you will work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations. You will be working as part of a care group to create behaviour modification plans, support with handling difficult dogs and make recommendations, along with the individual care group, for individual dog outcomes.

Position: Community Fundraising Lead
Hours: Full-time (35 hours a week)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Office-based from one of our national offices (London, Cardiff, Belfast, or Edinburgh) with flexibility to work remotely.
Salary: Starting from £39,717 per annum plus Car Allowance and excellent benefits
Salary Band and Job Family: Band 3*, Charity
*you will start at our entry point salary of £39,717 per annum, increasing to £42,199 after 6 months service and satisfactory performance and to £44,681 after a further 6 months.

About this job
Are you a people person? Are you inspired by fundraising supporters taking on unusual challenges or pushing themselves to their limits to support the causes they are passionate about?
If so, you just might be the candidate we are looking for! Our Community Fundraising team around the UK works alongside MS Society supporters and volunteers in their communities to give them the very best fundraising experience with us. We’re looking for the right person to lead the team and elevate our fundraising success even further.
You’ll be an experienced charity fundraising professional, with significant experience in managing and leading a disperse team of regional fundraisers.
You’ll be able to develop a strategic plan for local fundraising and have a clear focus on how to get the best out of your team to deliver it.
You’ll be a confident speaker and presenter, able to inspire staff and volunteers across the MS Society to get involved and take on a challenge. You’ll be comfortable working with budgets and numbers.
