Overall Purpose of the Head of Research

• To lead the delivery of the charity’s strategic research aims including managing and further developing Guts UK’s grants programme, managing our small research team, working with research partners and networks to raise awareness of our work and outcomes, further develop impact, and continue to develop and embed patient and public involvement (PPI) in our research.
• To drive new initiatives and develop and deliver tactical plans for the Research team which meet our strategic objectives.

Main purpose and scope of role

Working closely with the President and the Board of Trustees, the CEO will provide strategic vision and leadership and will strive to ensure that IPWSO delivers its charitable purposes and remains successful and sustainable.

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)

Leadership

· Strive to ensure that the charitable purposes of IPWSO are followed and that it delivers the public benefit set out in its governing document.

· Take overall responsibility for the management and administration of IPWSO.

· Provide support and information to the Board of Trustees to enable trustees to fulfil their roles and legal responsibilities.

· Pursue close cooperation with, and accountability to, IPWSO’s members.

· Act as an ambassador for IPWSO by representing IPWSO at events and networking to build new strategic relationships.

Governance

· Work with the Treasurer and the Finance Committee to prepare budgets for review by the Board of Trustees and to enable IPWSO to operate within its financial means.

· Seek to ensure that appropriate financial reports are submitted to the Charity Commission and other entities as required.

· Support the work of the Fundraising Committee and strive to ensure a sustainable income from both IPWSO members and individual, corporate, philanthropic and government donors.

· Build relationships with potential donors and prepare funding proposals.

· Seek to provide high quality support to existing donors, by means including the preparation of regular reports and updates.

Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the Plumber will use their vast experience, skill, and knowledge from previous roles to deliver exceptional plumbing services to the estate, ensuring the efficient operation and safety of all electrical systems and associated items in compliance with current standards and regulations.

Ensuring requirements of Children, young people, parents, staff and visitors are met at all times the role will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance tasks in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule and also for installation, investigation, diagnosis and fault finding on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment, including, but not limited to heating and hot water systems, hot and cold-water services, air conditioning, air handling and ventilation equipment, drainage and rainwater system and control systems. Bromley Mental Health Hub is part of the transformation of mental health services in the London Borough of Bromley under the NHS Long Term Plan. About the Role

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Senior Housing IDVA for Solace co-located in Waltham Forest Housing Department. As the Senior Housing IDVA you will provide immediate support for victim/survivors of abuse attending housing including carrying out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and providing short-term support and onward referral. In addition, you will act as the housing lead for Solace in Waltham Forest, providing advice and guidance to Solace staff and Waltham Forest housing professionals.

The Senior Housing IDVA will also hold line management responsibility. The Senior Housing IDVA will hold a small caseload of cases with complex housing issues for short-term support.

You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work.

We are seeking highly organised, self-driven individuals who are passionate about ending violence against women and girls (VAWG) and homelessness. Applicants should have a proactive attitude and a strong commitment to Solace’s feminist approach in supporting women and their children toward safety. About you

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive and experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our HR team.  You will be responsible for providing specialist advice on the full spectrum of Employee Relations cases including absence, disciplinary investigations, grievance, performance management and organisational change, ensuring the delivery  of an exceptional and timely service to stakeholders.

About the role:

The Senior Multiple Needs Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) will work within a dynamic, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service based at the CGL Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone.  The IDVA will provide support in the local community and at the Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone.  The successful candidate will be co-located up to 5 days a week at the Women’s Wellness Zone.

The IDVA will be closely working alongside CGL colleagues/team to deliver support to women with a range of complex support needs including substance misuse, mental health, domestic abuse, sex working, trafficking, and offending behaviour. The IDVA will work in collaboration with their team members to holistically support women in the borough of Ealing to achieve sustained recovery, improved health and wellbeing, helping women to manage/mitigate risks, and empowering them to reach their fullest potential in society as well as ensuring the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process.

The Senior Multiple Needs IDVA will assess the needs and risks of survivors, carry out short and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support. As well as identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs. They will also proactively advocate and advice women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies, encouraging them to engage with other agencies, and help co-ordinate the provision of multi-agency support where necessary.

About You:

To be successful as the Senior Multiple Needs IDVA you will need to have:

Excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children, of best practice in supporting survivors of domestic abuse, and of the MARAC. As well as understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field.

Bringing your experience of risk and needs assessment, safety and support planning, and crisis planning and successfully managing high numbers of referrals and experience of working in a co-located setting with another agency and providing consultations/briefings to professionals to support in upskilling them around Domestic Abuse. The candidate will have experience of partnership working and of maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to work as part of an innovative service, designed to offer multi-disciplinary wrap-around support to women with multiple needs, with the aim of facilitating long-term recovery.
