Our Helpline and expert advisers offer free, practical support to older people without enough money to live on. Responsibilities and Person Specification:
As a Graphic Designer, you will be part of our busy and friendly Studio team delivering content that presents an authentic narrative of older people’s lives. Working closely with the Senior Graphic Designer, you will play an essential role in producing our design work for print and digital channels.
Reporting to the Studio Manager, the post-holder will collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders and be responsible for delivering creative solutions that uphold our brand guidelines.
You should have experience working in either an in-house studio or a design agency and be skilled at producing and delivering designs for different media, including print, digital and social. You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to take instruction and deliver with a can-do attitude. In addition, you will be very proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud programmes and Microsoft Office.

The Senior Fundraising Operations Officer will lead on a number of weekly and monthly data import processes, ensuring income and supporter contact data is loaded accurately onto the CRM system.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Database Manager in the management and development of the Charity CRM database, championing its use across fundraising and identifying opportunities for system development. Key tasks
- Lead on the import of both online and offline income streams, investigating and resolving anomalies.
- Undertake data marketing selections, in conjunction with the Database Manager, liaising with fundraising colleagues on selection criteria.
- Work with the Database Manager to provide effective database and operational support to end users.
- Undertake all aspects of the Supporter Services Assistant role on days when they are not in the office, ensuring supporter enquiries are responded to, income processed twice weekly and donations thanked.
- Work with the Database Manager to develop and continuously improve database reporting across both Charity CRM and Power BI in support of the fundraising and communications operational plan.

The Royal British Legion (RBL), the leading Armed Forces charity, is looking for an experienced marketing manager to join their Fundraising directorate and lead a brilliant team to develop and implement a range of supporter acquisition marketing programmes to achieve the growth ambitions of their Fundraising strategy.
RBL holds a special place in the hearts and minds of generations of people in society. As the largest military charity in the UK and home of the extraordinary Poppy Appeal it has provided support to members of the Armed Forces community for over 100 years. Today is no different. The needs of veterans, young and old, serving personal and their families are growing and complex. To support them the charity needs to raise awareness and donations.
The Supporter Acquisition team at RBL is responsible for all marketing to attract new supporters across a large portfolio of appeals/products and media. The charity is seeking a team leader who has significant expertise with a wide range of marketing channels and can really add value to large well-established programmes with their experience, knowledge and drive to continually improve, identify appropriate new opportunities and shape supporter acquisition programmes.
The role involves leading an experienced team of two managers and two co-ordinators, and leading relationships with key suppliers. The marketing programmes include most significantly face-to-face fundraising (from stands in retail space or expos/outdoor events and door-to-door) and DRTV advertising, plus some print campaigns, payroll giving and 3rd party marketing. The role will also manage development projects that could include aspects of digital fundraising. An important part of the role is developing advertising for the nation’s largest charity appeal, the Poppy Appeal each November.
RBL introduced a new fundraising strategy last year called ‘Three Giants’ to focus on protecting and strengthening three vital areas of income generation, the Poppy Appeal, individual giving and gifts in wills. As an experienced senior marketing manager, you would hit the ground running to optimally deliver plans with your team, whilst helping to shape programme strategies and review supply requirements. The Role
Manage the delivery of acquisition campaigns from concept through to evaluation, using data and insight to drive creative and production, drawing up schedules, and managing the approval processes.
Work collaboratively with data teams to ensure effective use of supporter profiling for delivery across a range of annual acquisition campaigns.
Manage relationships with external agencies including media houses, designers and printers; to negotiate costs and

The Candidate
Experience of running effective digital campaigns on a national or regional basis.
Experience of using a variety of fundraising channels including digital, email, social media, direct mail, telemarketing and SMS.
Experience of using fundraising databases e.g. Dynamics 365, Raisers Edge or similar to produce reports and access a range of data.

You will have the knowledge and experience to ensure that the right policies, frameworks and plans are in place for our small team to achieve ambitious plans.
The main purposes of the Communications Manager role are:
- Developing, leading and implementing Tender’s communications strategy, focusing on supporting our fundraising and building engagement with key audiences
- Accountability for Tender’s organisational profile, building profile and engagement through content creation with key strategic audiences, including the website, social media, and print and online marketing materials
- Accountability for the development and management of Tender’s own media channels, ensuring a consistent user experience and organisational voice

As Content Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and iterating the content framework. The framework describes the what, why, and how of producing high-quality, effective content at Battersea:
- What: Defining content pillars and content types that the content team works on.
- Why: Ensuring that all content the team produces supports Battersea’s overall marketing strategy and organisational strategy.

Strong communication, interpersonal and consultative skills, and the proven ability to build relationships are vital to aid the smooth delivery of strategic projects and to drive to do things more effectively and efficiently through buy-in.
You’ll be adept at using data to inform content strategy and content approach exploring the ‘why’ across user needs. This includes leveraging insights, conducting content evaluations, and performing your own desktop research to bring our work to life, as we continue to develop our audience building and evaluation frameworks.
You’ll be supporting a dynamic Content team, giving guidance, coaching and fostering a culture of creativity and strategic direction, so they can deliver the right content, to the right audience at the right time which inspires connection to our cause and engagement with our brand.
