Job Purpose: The operational management for delivery of Short Breaks schemes across Surrey and West Sussex for children and young people with disabilities and additional needs.
Salary: £33,280 - £37,440
Hours of work:35 hours per week
Working Pattern:
7 hours a day with an hour’s unpaid break
Term-Time: 9:00-17:00 Tuesday-Saturday or Monday-Friday
School Holidays: 9:00-17:00 Monday-Friday
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Based at YMCA Sovereign Centre, Slipshatch Road, Reigate. RH2 8HA. Managing provision in Reigate, Leatherhead, Epsom and West Sussex locations.
Annual leave:Starting allowance - 25 days plus Bank Holidays. Please note that school holidays are key delivery periods and annual leave is not usually agreed during these periods.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide operational management of all Short Break club contracts across East Surrey and West Sussex.
- Lead assessment and approval of CYP behavioural support plans and complex need support to ensure safe and inclusive practices within our Short Break Schemes.
- Monitor annual Short Breaks area delivery plans to ensure delivery requirements of our contracted services are met. - Manage and monitor short breaks budget, including donations and grants.
- Assist with the recruitment of staff and securing opportunities to attract staff from local communities.
- On-boarding of new disability sessional staff including induction, role specific training, and on-going development to increase workforce retention.
- Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to expand the use of volunteers across Disability Services.
- To provide line management for a team of Disability Short Breaks Coordinators.

Role:
This is a new post introduced as part of Street League’s strategy for 2024-2027, which has growth at its heart. You will be an integral member of Street League’s philanthropy team which is responsible for raising £3m+ annually from trusts, foundations and major donors. Managed by the Head of Major Giving and working closely with our existing Trusts Manager, you will take a leading role in identifying new trust and foundation opportunities for Street League. You will develop new trust and foundation relationships, growing Street League’s income through compelling proposals. You will also manage a portfolio of existing trust and foundation supporters, building strong relationships and enabling our donors to see first-hand the difference their support is making.
Key details:
Salary: £40,016
Work pattern: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (36.25 hours per week). Please note that we will also consider part-time, flexible hours or a job share.
Location: Hybrid with 1-2 days per week in Street League's London office (Victoria)

The Latin American Women’s Rights Service (LAWRS) is a human rights and feminist organisation led by and for Latin American migrant women in the UK. Our work is dedicated to supporting the immediate and long-term needs of Latin American migrant women exposed to violations of their fundamental human rights; facing violence against women and girls, exploitation or trafficking; enduring difficult living and working conditions in low paid jobs and facing barriers to social protection.
LAWRS Social Change team reflects our inclusive approach to developing policy, advocacy and campaigning work by centring the experience of the most marginalised and excluded women to call for social justice. By enabling the participation of women with lived experience in policy and campaigning work our social change team promotes a holistic, rather than issue based, understanding of human rights violations experienced by Latin American migrant women in order to tackle systemic barriers that heighten migrant women’s vulnerability to abuses and which bars them from exercising their rights, accessing justice and leading violence free lives.
The post holder will be responsible for the implementation of LAWRS’ communications strategy working closely with the Policy and Communications team to provide digital, editorial, creative and operational communications support across the organisation’s work.
You will have an excellent command of English and Spanish or English and Portuguese.
