The role
NEA has an exciting opportunity for a Training and Education Officer to support with the delivery of our accredited training and qualifications to stakeholders across the United Kingdom as well as develop and deliver our expanding education programme nationwide.
You will work across both the training and education teams to develop and deliver training courses and education workshops to frontline workers, volunteers and young people from a wide range of organisations, including local authorities, housing associations, voluntary and community groups, and commercial organisations.
Our training courses and workshops cover key issues associated with fuel poverty, fuel debt, affordable warmth, low-carbon technologies and practical energy efficiency advice. You will work alongside the training team to develop, design and deliver these engaging online and face-to-face courses and qualifications. You will act as an examiner for all NEA qualifications, assist in the development of future assessment-based qualifications; and have the ability to identify new opportunities for training and assessment product development.
You will work closely with the existing education team to enhance the current education provision of the charity; you will develop and deliver education sessions in line with programme and funding needs. Delivery will include both Primary and Secondary school sessions as well as bespoke education sessions for care leavers, young carers, youth offenders and children soon to be attending university or college.

What you will need to succeed
You will possess a relevant training or education qualification and have recent, demonstrable experience in delivering adult training and or primary / secondary school sessions. Ideally, you will also bring experience in one or more of the following fields: energy, community development, debt or money advice, consumer issues, or housing.
With excellent communication skills and IT skills, you will be adaptable and bring a lot of energy to the team. You’ll be brimming with ideas and enthusiasm and have a passion to deliver training and education to people from diverse backgrounds and the desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives.
You will be expected to deliver training and education sessions depending on organisational need, as well as occasionally delivery in wider England and Wales. This will require overnight stays and flexibility on the part of the post holder.
The role of Training and Education Officer will be part of the Development and Partnerships Directorate and the postholder will report to NEA’s Training Programme Delivery Manager.
Hybrid working is subject to necessary H&S and GDPR checks. Post holders must be resident within the UK and be able to provide their Right to Work in the UK.

We are offering:
- £31,068 – £35,836 (Points 18 -25) (plus £3,300 London Weighting if applicable). New appointments are usually made at the starting point of the scale.

Job Purpose: Fundraising Officer
The Fundraising Officer position is responsible for proactively driving fundraising growth from new and existing supporters (predominantly with individuals and corporate partners) generating the income that will enable our ambitious organisational strategy. Key responsibilities
● To identify and submit applications to potential grant funders who indicate that they offer support for foodbank and community activity.
● Proactively identify, engage and build good relationships with prospective corporate donors, successfully securing them as funding partners. Alongside this you’ll deepen engagement and grow our relationships and partnerships with existing corporate donors.
● Work with colleagues across Barnsley Foodbank, to develop authentic, compelling, creative and winning grant funding and partnership proposals that can successfully engage corporate partners and align with their needs, motivations, areas of interests and values.
● Design and deliver excellent, engaging and regular stewardship communications and powerful fundraising appeals alongside establishing the associated data and systems. You will grow our income and pool of individual supporters making one off or monthly donations. You’ll also explore and implement ways of promoting Barnsley Foodbank to successfully attract an ever-greater number of individual donors.
● You’ll proactively build new fundraising relationships with local community groups, associations and schools in and around Barnsley.
● Evolve, develop, monitor and manage a fundraising portfolio capable of generating in excess of £150,000 per annum. You’ll establish a fundraising pipeline, including a range of KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) that can be tracked and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income.
● Forge strong relationships with colleagues across the wider Trussell Trust network, sharing best practice and learning from other charities across the network. As part of a network ‘learning set’, you’ll proactively take advantage of any fundraising training and skills development opportunities and engage with any joint fundraising opportunities.
● You will engage with the Communications and Development Officer to ensure that social media is used to engage with funding partners and also used to promote the financial needs of the project. You will ensure donors receive regular stewardship communications that bring the Barnsley’s work and impact to life so that donors keep engaged with our work.

Person specification
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
● Experience as a fundraiser and a proven track record of fundraising success with individuals, businesses and/or community fundraising.
● Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate existing and prospective supporters, provide excellent stewardship and craft compelling and winning funding proposals and appeals.
● Experience of setting, managing and reporting against fundraising priorities
● Strong IT skills
● A tenacious and enthusiastic approach and the ability to embrace, develop and shape a new role. You’ll be well organised, proactive, and a self-starter who is able to self-motivate to plan, prioritise and manage your workload.
Desirable qualifications, skills, and experience
● Knowledge of the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice

About the opportunity:
The Tutor Communications Officer will work closely with the Communications and Media Manager to support all aspects of stakeholder communications and engagement at Action Tutoring. The role will require you to develop engaging and motivational content when communicating with our volunteer tutor network, schools and other stakeholders.
The Tutor Communications Officer will develop their data management and analytical skills, when evaluating the impact of communications and maintaining subscriber data. They will also develop detailed knowledge of our e-communications software (Campaign Monitor) to create precise and engaging email campaigns with accurate segmentation of recipients.
Comprehensive induction and training will be provided. Action Tutoring is committed to providing development opportunities for its staff and, as a growing charity, there are plenty of opportunities to take on new areas of responsibility.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Work with Communications and Engagement teams to create impactful communications that recruit new tutors, re-engage lapsed volunteers, and convert former tutors into long-term charity supporters.
- Maintain and analyse data across our e-communications platforms (ValueText, Campaign Monitor) and our volunteer database (Salesforce) to optimize audience targeting and engagement, while ensuring GDPR compliance and data cleanliness.
- Respond to tutors’ enquiries and feedback complaints as part of managing the communications’ team inbox, whilst supporting the wider team to do the same.
- Work with the Communications and Media Manager and other communications officer to produce interesting and relevant pupil and tutor case studies throughout the year. Collaborate with our Programme Team and your MarComms colleagues to source appropriate case studies from our partner schools and volunteer network.

About First Give
First Give inspires young people to make a difference to the causes they care about. We do this through working in partnership with secondary schools, providing a fully resourced scheme of work that guides an entire year group of students to engage with local charities and causes and then carry out social action (fundraising, raising awareness, campaigning, volunteering etc) in support of them.
At the end of each programme, a celebratory School Final is held at each school, where groups representing each class deliver presentations about their projects. Programme Delivery Officer role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our Programmes Team as a Programme Delivery Officer. PDOs will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the delivery of the First Give programme in up 50 schools, ensuring smooth running of the programme, plus providing guidance and troubleshooting for the lead teachers at First Give partner schools.
The role will be hybrid, with 3 days a week in our main offices in West Hampstead, London. Regular travel to schools across London and the South East will be required.

Key responsibilities
- Provide logistic and programme support to teachers delivering the First Give programme at their school, including but not limited to:

About Kids Club Kampala

The Orchard Project is looking for a Communications & Fundraising Officer with a proven track record of creating engaging digital content that really stands out from the crowd. You’ll also play a key role in helping to nurture our emerging individual giving programme.
This part-time role (3 days a week) requires an excellent communicator with a keen eye for detail who is used to co-ordinating effective, creative marketing campaigns.
Salary £29,642-£31,642 pro-rata new starter salary (plus London weighting of £4000 pro-rata if applicable) along with 5% employers pension, and additional training and wellbeing benefits.
Since 2009, we’ve brought over 640 orchards into the heart of urban communities, specifically in areas of high deprivation where there is limited access to nature. We also train local people in the skills needed to care for those orchards, ensuring they remain viable for generations to come.
Key activity responsibilities of this role
Communications & Marketing (estimated to be 60%)
- Create engaging content for social media, our website, and other channels, working with the Communications Manager
- Work with the team to help broaden the diversity of our audience and engage new supporters
- Write a bi-annual supporter newsletter via Mailchimp, and assist project managers to create regional newsletters
- Work as part of a team to plan marketing campaigns with the aim of either growing our supporter base or raising funds for our work
- Develop inspiring case studies about our work and beneficiaries for use on social media, web, press, funding reports and bids
- Support The Orchard Project’s in-person and online events
- Assist staff with promoting events and courses via social media, Eventbrite and our website
- Assist with content gathering at in-person events to support storytelling
- Develop and maintain an effective, organised photo library for use across the organisation
- Other communications tasks as requested by the Communications Manager
Fundraising support (estimated to be 40%)
- Working alongside the Head of Fundraising, develop and implement a plan for growing and retaining our individual giving donor network
- Co-ordinate and execute a digital fundraising plan for supporter engagement, working alongside the Communications Manager and Head of Fundraising
- Support the creation of donor communications, such as thankyou letters and impact reports that ensure our donors feel valued and engaged
- Gather and organise key information to support our fundraising bids
- Provide audience insight and analysis on donor engagement and fundraising campaigns
- Other fundraising tasks as requested by the Head of Fundraising

The Young Carers Service supports young carers aged 5 and up who care, unpaid, for a friend or family member who has an illness, disability, mental health or drug or alcohol problem. Some caring roles are big, others small. Either way, we’re here to help.
Adventure, friendship and support are super-important for young carers, so we split our work into three areas:

About This Role
Over the last seven years we have grown into a recognised leader in the fight for menstrual equity. This is underpinned by a strong and diverse fundraising programme at Bloody Good Period, along with a distinctive, stand-out brand which is frequently sought out for high profile partnerships from partners across industries. We raise c£750K per annum, which delivers our impactful programme of work to meet immediate menstrual health needs via providing period products and menstrual education, and campaigning for long-term change so that we (ultimately) no longer have to do this work.
We are searching for a new Fundraising Officer at Bloody Good Period to help us deliver an expanded programme of fundraising in 2025 and beyond. The Fundraising Officer will play a pivotal role in delivering public fundraising, as well as supporting the Fundraising Manager on corporate and major donor fundraising, maximising opportunities to grow BGP’s income.

Our goal is to improve quality teaching and holistic learning, and to foster resilient education systems across the world, including for those living in remote regions and those facing multiple forms of marginalisation and crises.
Schools2030 brings together a diverse coalition which includes educators, school leaders, civil society organisations, technical partners and researchers, as well as education policymakers across ten countries and 1,000+ schools and community learning sites.
The Aga Khan Foundation is excited to recruit a Schools2030 Global Research Coordinator to provide coordination support to these research projects, including holding regular meetings with research teams, organising learning events to explore the findings and synergies across this research portfolio, and organising joint outputs across the research partners – including conference presentations and co-authored publications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
We envision the Schools2030 Global Research Partner network to be “greater than the sum of its parts” by encouraging knowledge sharing, collaboration and cross-fertilization of ideas within and beyond this community of scholars and researchers. All current research projects share a focus on teacher agency and teacher professional development, providing a powerful opportunity to synergise and mobilise knowledge from across this portfolio to really contribute to and advance the field of global education and teaching. The Schools2030 Global Research Coordinator will ensure that Schools2030 realises this vision by leading on the following two workstreams and associated set of deliverables:
Workstream 1: Schools2030 Global Research Programme and Partnership Coordination
- Partnership Coordination: Support and facilitate effective internal communication and coordination between Schools2030 Global Research Partners, Schools2030 country teams, and relevant Schools2030 Technical Partners for effective project implementation.
- Network Building: Organise and facilitate quarterly virtual meetings with all Schools2030 Research Partners to ensure learnings and findings are shared and amplified within the group
- Programme Oversight: Coordinate all Schools2030 Global Research Partner reporting requirements through final review, edit, and submission of midterm and final reports outlining progress made on outputs and outcomes as stated in their research proposals.
Workstream 2: Schools2030 Global Research Evidence Synthesis and Dissemination
- Evidence Synthesis: Produce Schools2030 Quarterly Research Updates about the Schools2030 Global Research Partners to share progress, key activities/deliverables and “stories from the field” for dissemination to global and national stakeholders.
- Evidence Coordination: Organize meaningful thematic and methodological linkages between research teams, and with other Schools2030 and non-Schools2030 research, to encourage collaboration and maximize impact.
- Global Research Visibility and Engagement: Coordinate and organise conference presentations and other externally-facing events to showcase Schools2030 research partnerships and evidence (for example, coordinating sessions at conferences such as CIES, netFWD, and UKFIET). In addition, organize an Annual Schools2030 Global Research Symposia supported by the Schools2030 Global Communications Manager and Schools2030 Global Programme Manager to showcase the Schools2030 Global Research Partners’ results.
- Global Communications: Amplify Schools2030 research through online channels, including blogs, social media and managing the portion of the Schools2030 website dedicated to the Schools2030 Global Research Partners. This will be done in close collaboration with the Schools2030 Global Communications Manager.
Qualifications
• Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree or higher in international education or related discipline. Strong preference for current PhD Candidates or those who have already been awarded a PhD.
Skills & Experience
• Demonstrated research expertise in international education and/or teacher professional development
• Experience producing and reviewing academic research outputs, particularly on themes of international education and/or teacher professional development
• Fluent in written and oral English language
• Excellent written communication skills, including report writing
• Excellent presentation skills and meeting facilitation skills, including online meetings and workshops
• Experience coordinating conferences or similar events (experience coordinating research/knowledge-sharing events is strongly desired)
