About the role 

This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in two of our schools in Darwen, Lancashire, delivering two of our programmes – Ignite (Key Stage 4 only) and our new Accelerate programme. 

The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors and coaches, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of our programmes is optimised. 

Role responsibilities 

• Work directly with students in a professional and safe manner. 
• Engage with school staff, your Programme Manager, and students in school to ensure that you have fully enrolled cohorts across both programmes. 
• Assess student progress towards being able to make successful Key Stage 5 and university applications. 
• Upload information onto the Salesforce database in a timely manner (training is provided). 
• Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programmes. 
• Present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on our programmes progress. 
• Support the wider team by attending university site visits which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided). 
• Any other responsibilities reasonably deemed necessary by The Access Project’s Programme Managers or Director 

Schools with tuition and coaching in their model:

• Match students with volunteer tutors. 
• Monitor student attendance to tutorials and coaching sessions and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance. 
• Manage volunteer tutor attendance to tutorials through weekly monitoring systems. 
• Monitor the impact of tutorials and intervene as appropriate. 
• Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme. 
• Manage students’ relationships with volunteer tutors through monitoring of systems, emailing and making phone calls.
• Work with the volunteering team to co-ordinate the effective delivery of our coaching programme.

Training and Development  

You will be provided with regular monthly training so that you can develop your skills and succeed in the role. There is support from your line manager (Senior Programme Manager), as well as guidance from more senior University Access Officers and the wider University Access Officer team across The Access Project. Role Summary 
The main function of the Careers Coordinator role is to develop, support and deliver Into Film’s Screen Careers Programme. The post holder will work closely with the Careers Lead, Industry Partnerships Lead and other members of Into Film staff who conceive, create and deliver our Screen Careers Programme. 

Alongside internal teams including Marcomms, the Careers Coordinator will develop content that supports careers professionals, teachers, young people and their parents, ensuring they can access what they need to become aware of the breadth of screen careers and how children and young people might go about entering these industries. 

The Careers Coordinator will manage various deliverables across the programme including but not limited to work experience pilots directly with young people, development of resources and training for careers professionals, and speaking slots at careers conferences UK-wide. The role will have a focus on reaching those young people who are underserved and under-represented. 

Main Responsibilities:

• As directed by the Careers Lead, support the implementation of the Screen Careers Programme Plan through colleagues, partners and supporters.
• Project manage the work experience deliverable alongside the local Activation Coordinators.
• Assist the Careers Lead and UK-wide activation team to plan and deliver Screen Careers events.
• Support the Learning Content Creation team with the development of Screen Careers resources, training and courses.
• Support the Careers Lead and Industry Partnerships Lead to manage stakeholders and industry partner relationships utilising our Customer Relationship Management tool, Salesforce.
• Generate ideas and organise existing content for the Get Into Film social media channels and young people hub on the Into Film website.
• Monitor content about careers on our resources, training programme and website to ensure that it's up to date and remains relevant.
• Monitor and evaluate the programme utilising internal and external feedback to help shape future Screen Careers annual programme plans.
• Contribute to quarterly reports to funders and the Into Film board.

Safeguarding

The facilitator's responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom they are responsible, or with whom they come into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Talent Foundry Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan women and girls living in the UK, who have experienced, or are at risk of all forms of “honour” based abuse, including; forced marriage, child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), or domestic abuse.

We work with women and girls of all ages, including lesbian women, bisexual women and trans women. We offer services in Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Turkish and English.

IKWRO offers free advice, advocacy and counselling services and operates a refuge which provides safe accommodation and specialist support to single women at risk of “honour” based abuse, forced marriage and domestic abuse. 

The post-holder will be responsible for delivering IKWRO’s training services in educational setting, and with front line agencies, in line with an agreed strategy under the direction of IKWRO’s management. This entails:

· Providing training programmes to young people, professionals and community members with the aim of raising awareness on violence against women and girls and in particular the harmful practices of “Honour” Based violence (HBV), Forced Marriage and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).

· Coordinating the booking, delivery and evaluation of education work with young people in primary and secondary schools, as well as out of school youth settings.

· Using a range of practical and creative tools to educate young people about the violence and abuse within intimate relationships, challenge attitudes of victim blaming, and enable young people to feel access support services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

• Lead the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy, to ensure sustainable funding for the work of the charity, maintaining healthy cash flow and adequate resources.

• Develop and write high quality, compelling funding proposals and applications which communicate Oasis Hobmoor’s funding needs clearly and concisely.

• Explore diversifying funding streams, aiming to increase funding business partnerships, corporate donors, individual giving and community fundraising.

• Work with volunteers and community members to ensure real life stories are communicated.

• Ensure high quality monitoring and reporting for funders, meeting reporting requirements.

Role Purpose:

The Head of Finance will strengthen KICK through the strategic management of finances including day-today tasks, budgeting and reporting. The successful candidate will provide both strategic and financial guidance to ensure that KICK’s financial commitments are met excellently and accurately. The role will also involve working closely with both the senior management team as well as the board of Trustees in order to maintain and grow a solid foundation for KICK to grow. 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

· The Head of finance will have the ability to collate and present the monthly accounts to the Exec team and Board based on KICK performance, as well as problem solving potential issues that arise.

· Responsible for processing and running payroll, along with sessional payments and expenses on a monthly basis.

· Conduct Finance Committee meetings and project work as directed by the board or initiated by finance results.

·       The Head of Finance will be responsible for the annual budget and holding budget holders account on their spend.

· Ability to complete and present the annual accounts.

· Responsible for the management of our Book Keeper to ensure invoices are issued and bank accounts reconciled in a timely manner.

Proven Experience

- A degree in finance, accounting or a related field.

- Proven experience in a senior executive role. 

- Experience of strategic planning and business development.

- Experience of complex and multi-dimensional problem solving whilst having a clear knowledge of the options, impacts, risks when suggesting a resolution.

Barnsley Foodbank Partnership opened over 11 years and is part of the Trussell Trust network – a nationwide network of food banks which together provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK. Job Purpose: Fundraising Officer

The Fundraising Officer position is responsible for proactively driving fundraising growth from new and existing supporters (predominantly with individuals and corporate partners) generating the income that will enable our ambitious organisational strategy. The position also plays a significant role in strengthening support through community engagement activities, including with schools, community associations and corporate groups.

Key responsibilities

● To identify and submit applications to potential grant funders who indicate that they offer support for foodbank and community activity.

● Proactively identify, engage and build good relationships with prospective corporate donors, successfully securing them as funding partners. Alongside this you’ll deepen engagement and grow our relationships and partnerships with existing corporate donors.

● Work with colleagues across Barnsley Foodbank, to develop authentic, compelling, creative and winning grant funding and partnership proposals that can successfully engage corporate partners and align with their needs, motivations, areas of interests and values.

● Design and deliver excellent, engaging and regular stewardship communications and powerful fundraising appeals alongside establishing the associated data and systems. You will grow our income and pool of individual supporters making one off or monthly donations. You’ll also explore and implement ways of promoting Barnsley Foodbank to successfully attract an ever-greater number of individual donors.

● You’ll proactively build new fundraising relationships with local community groups, associations and schools in and around Barnsley.

● Evolve, develop, monitor and manage a fundraising portfolio capable of generating in excess of £150,000 per annum. You’ll establish a fundraising pipeline, including a range of KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) that can be tracked and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income.

● Forge strong relationships with colleagues across the wider Trussell Trust network, sharing best practice and learning from other charities across the network. As part of a network ‘learning set’, you’ll proactively take advantage of any fundraising training and skills development opportunities and engage with any joint fundraising opportunities.

● You will engage with the Communications and Development Officer to ensure that social media is used to engage with funding partners and also used to promote the financial needs of the project. You will ensure donors receive regular stewardship communications that bring the Barnsley’s work and impact to life so that donors keep engaged with our work.

About the opportunity:

The Tutor Communications Officer will work closely with the Communications and Media Manager to support all aspects of stakeholder communications and engagement at Action Tutoring. The role will require you to develop engaging and motivational content when communicating with our volunteer tutor network, schools and other stakeholders.

The Tutor Communications Officer will develop their data management and analytical skills, when evaluating the impact of communications and maintaining subscriber data. They will also develop detailed knowledge of our e-communications software (Campaign Monitor) to create precise and engaging email campaigns with accurate segmentation of recipients. 

Comprehensive induction and training will be provided. Action Tutoring is committed to providing development opportunities for its staff and, as a growing charity, there are plenty of opportunities to take on new areas of responsibility. 

Key responsibilities of the role: 

• Work with Communications and Engagement teams to create impactful communications that recruit new tutors, re-engage lapsed volunteers, and convert former tutors into long-term charity supporters.
• Maintain and analyse data across our e-communications platforms (ValueText, Campaign Monitor) and our volunteer database (Salesforce) to optimize audience targeting and engagement, while ensuring GDPR compliance and data cleanliness.
• Respond to tutors’ enquiries and feedback complaints as part of managing the communications’ team inbox, whilst supporting the wider team to do the same.
• Work with the Communications and Media Manager and other communications officer to produce interesting and relevant pupil and tutor case studies throughout the year. Collaborate with our Programme Team and your MarComms colleagues to source appropriate case studies from our partner schools and volunteer network.

Salary: £25,235 per annum plus London Weighting of £2,271 per annum (if applicable)
