The Salusbury World advice team have been successfully helping clients to navigate welfare benefits, immigration problems, housing support and to find work for 20 years. 70% of our clients require an interpreter.
We particularly need interpreters to support our Arabic-speaking clients.
Some appointments take place virtually and some are face-to-face appointments, usually in the London borough of Brent.
Your main tasks will be to:
*offer clear independent interpreting of the client’s issue and responses from the advice worker to the client.
*support clients from a variety of Arabic-speaking countries, many with almost no English.
Experience of interpreting is desirable but not essential. You need a warm personality and an ability to build a rapport with people quickly, a high standard of English, and a non-judgemental and supportive approach.
Commitment: this is an irregular commitment, as and when needed. It is likely to be 2 or 3 hours per month but may be less.

About Us
The Agora Learning Partnership (formerly the Herts for Learning Multi Academy Trust) is an inclusive, collaborative and forward looking Trust where we all work together, learn together and succeed together in order to give all of the children in our academies the best possible education and learning opportunities.
The Agora Learning Partnership is inclusive; it is open to primary, secondary and special schools which will mainly be converter academies (plus a smaller number of sponsored academies) within an hour’s travelling distance. Background to the role
We are currently seeking a new Trustee with skills and experience in accounting and/or finance to join our Board.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensuring that the Trust has adequate financial and internal audit controls and risk identification and management and that these are monitored and reviewed regularly
- Working with the central Finance Team to ensure that financial information is both accurate and presented in such a way and level of detail that facilitates good financial governance
- Scrutinising management accounts, performance against budget, cash flow, etc and provide assurance to the Board regarding their status and management
- Advising the board on the financial implications and operational risks arising from organisational strategy and plans, and board decisions, especially the board’s strategic and policy decisions, and working with EFSA in its overall oversight role of such matters.
- Advising the board on its financial and business strategy and to review and monitor the financial strategy on behalf of the board
- Advising the board regarding investment policy including risk, ethics, and strategy
- Ensure that intangible assets such as organisational knowledge and expertise, intellectual property, the Trust’s good name and reputation etc. are properly valued, utilised and safeguarded

As a charity we can help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations from our supporters. Raising funds is a key role in our charity, helping to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need.
As a fundraising volunteer, we will support you every step of the way to ensure your time at Cats Protection is a positive and rewarding one. Whatever time you can give really does make a big difference We have lots of exciting activities to choose from for example attending a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, handling administrative tasks, or contributing to the development of new fundraising ideas. What can you expect to be doing?
As a flexible role, you have the choice to be involved in the following:
- face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping with fundraising events, attending supermarket collections and monitoring collection boxes.

A bit about this role
At Cats Protection we passionately believe that neutering cats before they can breed is an essential part of cat ownership, and without neutering the UK’s cat population would quickly get out of control. Our neutering volunteers help spread positive neutering messages and make it easier for owners on low incomes to get their cats neutered. They help raise awareness of the benefits of neutering, promote our neutering schemes and respond to enquiries from members of the public.
What can you expect to be doing?
- Promoting the benefits of neutering and our neutering schemes
- Responding to enquiries about neutering
- Completing relevant neutering paperwork and distributing neutering vouchers
- Following up with cat owners to make sure that vouchers are used
- Ensuring all cats and kittens are neutered in line with Cats Protection policies and procedures

Men Who Talk is a UK registered charity, running twice weekly online peer-to-peer support groups for men aged 18+ across the UK. The groups take place between 7:00pm - 8:30pm every Wednesday evening, and 11:00am - 12:30pm every Saturday morning.
Our groups are supportive spaces for men aged 18+ to come and talk openly about what's on their mind. All groups are free to attend and follow the evidence based model of peer support.
Volunteers are required to be online from 6:45pm to 8:45pm on a Wednesday evening, and from 10:45am - 12:45pm on a Saturday, and are required to facilitate around 1 group per month. Volunteers are asked to commit to an a minimum of 6 months of volunteering in the initial stage.
All groups are facilitated by 2 facilitators, and follow a semi-structured pattern.
We are looking for passionate men with some experience of groups facilitating or working in mental health settings to come join us as facilitators. Experience in using online platforms such as zoom is essential.
A degree in psychology is preferred but not an essential requirement.
You must have the right to live and work in the UK in order to join us, MWT is unable to sponsor any visa applications. Fluency in conversational English and a firm grasp of technology is also required.

We are looking for volunteers from across London.
User Voice, a charity run by and for people with lived experience of the criminal justice system, in partnership with the NHS, have a fantastic opportunity for people with experience of prison and/or NHS Liaison and Diversion services in the last 12 months, currently living London
Successful applicants will join our existing London delivery team, working alongside liked minded peers, working in both prison and community settings, to embed lived experience into the evaluation, design and commissioning of health justice services across London.
Volunteers will have full training, which includes Peer Research Skills, Research Methods, Safeguarding Adults, Mental Health Awareness, Equity Diversion & Inclusion and General Data Protection Requirements (GDPR).
Volunteers will be working as part of a team to gain an insight into healthcare in prison and in the community, and will work in probation offices, prisons and third parties to engage with service users to get their honest feedback on healthcare services that are provided or that they have been sign posted to. They will get to work directly and collaboratively with the NHS Health and Justice London team, prison governors and probation directors to create ideas for change, training tools, review policies/procedures and help to implement any changes that are made on the back of the feedback we receive.
Tasks include:
• Undertake a range of activities to support the projects progress.
• Engaging and communicating with service users in prison and the community.
• Collecting information on common issues faced by service users and staff.
• Presenting identified issues and suggested solutions to the NHS.
• Making sure that identified key issues are prioritised.
• Ensuring that the service user population is kept up to date with the projects progress.
• Contribute to the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new volunteers.
• Effective, safe, and secure data collection for monitoring purposes
• Promote the value of lived experience to all stakeholders.
