About us
Who we are
Salusbury World is a small charity in Brent with a big heart and bigger ambitions.
Our mission is to support and empower refugee and migrant children, young people, families and individuals to overcome obstacles, realise their rights and potential and participate fully in society
We envisage a world in which people are not defined by their immigration status and where new arrivals thrive in welcoming, warm communities.
We work in partnership with schools and Family Wellbeing Centres in North West London.
We are passionate about what we do and our work is effective because our services are joined up to provide integrated educational, social and practical support.
Activities include:
- Educational Mentoring
- Drama therapy
- Holiday clubs
- After school clubs
- One to one advice and advocacy (AQS & OISC accredited)
- Classes and workshops for adults
- Cultural excursions for adults and children
- Volunteering and work experience opportunities for adults and teenagers
- Cycling proficiency for adults and children
- Special drama, art and other creative projects for adults and teenagers.
These services and programmes are delivered by a dedicated team of 12 full time or part time professionals with the help of over 100 specially trained volunteers. We are also fortunate to collaborate with remarkable creative arts organisations who bring extraordinary opportunities to children and young people. We take our work seriously but have lots of fun, inspired by the children and families we support.
