Overall job purpose
This is a fundamental role within our North regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer. The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. The Local Community Officer will engage and support communities and volunteers to care for 23 historic churches across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, W. Yorkshire, N. FUNDRAISING LEADERSHIP

- Lead the implementation of the fundraising strategy, setting annual plans, income targets and budgets

- Ensure systems and processes are in place for effective management and development of the fundraising function, including compliance with the Fundraising Regulator and our policies.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential skills and experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in fundraising, including a track record of securing high-value gifts of six figures.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and delivering fundraising strategies, including corporate partnerships, major gifts, trusts, and foundations.
- Sound leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve targets. The Fundraising Director will manage a team of two within a wider organisation of 25 staff.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with donors, corporate sponsors, grant-making bodies, and stakeholders, including grassroots and volunteer-driven fundraising efforts.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience in budget management, financial forecasting, and reporting on fundraising performance, with a focus on KPIs and success metrics.
- Ability to set and achieve clear fundraising growth targets, ensuring alignment between current income portfolios and projected expansion.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising proposals and cases for support.
- Knowledge of fundraising regulations, data protection laws (GDPR), and ethical fundraising best practices.

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Mental Health Workshop Lead to support delivery of our Family Zone project running in Southwark. This is a contractor position for 12 weeks, working 1 to 2 days per week, from the middle of May. There is the potential to continue for a further 12-14-week period in the autumn.

Family Zone in Southwark will benefit approximately 100-125 members of families where at least one parent has a diagnosed mental health problem. We have successfully delivered a pilot group and will continue to deliver additional groups throughout 2025 with a plan to continue in 2026. Each group programme will consist of ten, weekly after-school workshops lasting two hours in person (3 sessions) or one hour online (7 sessions) and the workshop lead will be expected to jointly plan and deliver these sessions leading on the parental discussions. The workshop lead will also be responsible for leading the parent only discussions during 7 on-line sessions which will run at a different time.
What does the role involve?
- Jointly plan the delivery of the family workshops leading on the psycho education element in the sessions. (10 sessions)
- Lead on the planning and delivery of 7 parent-only sessions.
- Keep a record of key issues discussed in each group, any significant incidents that occur, and any positive or negative feedback from the group for discussion with the Programme Lead - Families Children & Young People.
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
- Professional qualification or significant experience in a related field such as psychotherapy/counselling.
- Demonstrable group facilitation skills and the ability to lead with a non-judgemental attitude, understanding the potential impact of different mental health difficulties on other group members.
- Experience of working with families in a mental health capacity.

About the role:
The Advance Specialist Prison & Probation Advocate will support women within the prison setting, provide pre-release support, focused on Accommodation, Finance, debt & benefits, Family & significant others and Social inclusion including ‘through the gate’ support.
This exciting new role will be based in HMP Bronzefield and will support in developing referral pathways for women and work in partnership with different departments and services within the prison as well as those in the community. You will co-design an action plan with women accessing support, enabling you to support them to address their accommodation, finance, debt and benefits and health needs and any risks in relation to the interventions identified, as they prepare for release. The role will involve a combination of casework-based approach with delivery of programmes and courses, along with a signposting and advice service for the women in custody.
You will have demonstrable experience and understanding of working with women in a challenging multi-agency environment, ideally working with prisoners and/or their families.
You will build strong relationships with the Pre Release teams to ensure clients are able to maintain or access suitable accommodation, finance, benefits and debt, family and social inclusion support including negotiating terms on behalf of the women. Ensure that interventions are responsive to and meet the needs of women from diverse and minoritised backgrounds. This, together with referrals to wider partner organisations in the community, will ensure additional support needs are addressed post-release and continuity of support exists.
A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential
About You:
To be successful as the Advance Specialist Prison & Probation Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:
Knowledge and experience of the criminal justice system obtained through academic study, experience of working in the criminal justice system (or closely associated social system).
The ability and experience as a caseworker delivering gender specific and trauma responsive interventions which support resettlement and rehabilitation of female adults in the criminal justice system whether in the community or in prisons.
You will possess excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work in a prison environment whilst remaining calm.
Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of managing a caseload including maintaining and updating records, remaining focused on action plan goals, and keeping to deadlines
You will have the ability to complete trauma informed, support and action plans in collaboration with the woman; to support in addressing their multiple and individual needs and enable them to engage with services, which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved.

The role
The Refugee Resettlement Officer will be responsible for providing effective integration and orientation support for individuals and families who have been resettled in the UK. The individuals supported through this service may have complex needs and you will provide practical and emotional support to help them adapt to life across Leicestershire and Rutland.

- Experience in delivering a high-quality service supporting positive outcomes for relocated individuals or families who speak English as a second language.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to use appropriate discretion to address complex situations.
- Ability to manage a demanding case load and to plan and prioritise effectively in order to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in partnership with external agencies to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable families.
- Good written communication skills including the ability to produce clear and concise support plans and reports.
- Good knowledge of the statutory framework in relation to safeguarding and an ability to apply this in practice and in day-to-day case work.

As a small, mission-driven charity, we are seeking a highly organised and reliable Freelance Executive Assistant to support our CEO and Operations Director, enabling them to focus on strategic delivery, fundraising, and programme development.
You will be confident, efficient, and values-driven, able to provide high-level administrative support and coordination. You will play a vital role in keeping our senior leadership organised and on track, ensuring smooth communication to enable the team to collaborate across all the activities and projects.
Key Responsibilites

At Lancaster & District Homeless Action Service (LDHAS) our primary aim is to support homeless and vulnerably housed people into secure accommodation and provide assistance to maintain said accommodation, in addition to providing mental health, substance abuse, and advocacy support to ensure long-term quality of life and inclusion for our clients.
Providing a competitive starting salary of £18556.20 per annum for 22.5 hours per week, we are looking for an Engagement Officer (EO) to work alongside our two other Engagement Officers, who will triage and support clients and build a support package in liason with visiting professionals, volunteers, and staff of LDHAS in line with its aims and objectives. As a member of the LDHAS team you will be enrolled into the NEST pension scheme and will be entitled to 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata).
You will ensure that good relations are maintained with the neighbours of LDHAS and with the local community, and that LDHAS clients in the immediate vicinity of the building are conducting themselves in an acceptable way. You will motivate and enable clients as they engage with LDHAS and liaise with a variety of homeless hub organisations as required.
You will manage footfall in the building ensuring that health and safety protocols and procedures are maintained throughout the building during the hours of opening and assist the other Engagement Officers with clothing, shower, and laundry facility management.
The successful applicant will have a communication style that motivates and enables people and will be able to maintain relationships and gain the cooperation of others. This requires the skills to motivate, negotiate, persuade and empathise. You will be working as part of a team of 6 staff, 2 to 3 volunteers per day, and regular visiting agency staff. The job will be based at our day centre at LDHAS, 2 Aalborg Place, Lancaster LA1 1BJ.
