The role
With support from our Marketing and Communications Manager and wider team, you will play a vital role by creating, managing and optimising our digital communications, including the development, execution and measurement of email mailshots and campaigns, our social media channels, and our website.
You will be comfortable planning and devising email and social media content ideas, designing creative assets, writing sharp, engaging social media copy, and helping colleagues to grow their own social media presence.

Your experience

Job Title: Experienced Associate Independent Investigating Officers (IOs) for Stage 2 Complaints (This role sits within our Independent Person for Complaints (IPC) service)

About the Role
We are seeking additional experienced Associate Independent Investigating Officers (IO) for Complaints, to increase our capacity to respond to referrals from Local Authorities to provide an independent element to the formal Stage 2 investigations under the Children Act 1989.
The IO will lead investigations, and will give the complainant (who may be a child, young person or adult) the opportunity to express their view, ensure the child or young person’s rights and best interests are at the centre of the investigation and that the investigation/review process is open and transparent. They write a report on the investigation/review, which is submitted to the referring agency.
The Job Description document sets out the expectations for an Associate Independent Person for Complaints (IPC) who is approved by Coram Voice. IPCs are independent, freelance and responsible for their own work. Nevertheless, IPCs are accountable to the organisation for their professional standards and are expected to comply with Coram Voice Code of Ethics and Practice Guidelines.
Please Note: the nature of associate work means that we cannot guarantee a regular amount of work, and complaints will be allocated dependent on the associate’s availability, location and the needs and demands of the individual case. Investigation work takes place Monday to Friday within working hours. This position is not suitable for applicants who already work or have commitments more than two days within the working week.

The media team comprises of Head of Media, two Media Managers, three Senior Media Officers, two Media Officers, and an Assistant Media Officer.

SUMMARY
Position Title: Programmes and Partnerships Director
Salary: £50,000-57,000
Reports to: CEO Line managing: Associate Director of Spark Programmes (1 FTE), Head of Fellowship (1FTE), Head of Changemaker Development Support (1FTE) Location: Liberation centre Brixton, London (New office)/ Remote working within the UK with at least 2 days work from our office
Contract: Full time (40hrs/weekly), fixed-term contract for 1 year, with potential for extension and role expansion (part-time -4days weekly minimum, will be considered).
Hours: TAA has flexible working hours, with some expected evenings and weekends due to the nature of the role. All extra hours are reimbursed as Time off in Lieu (TOIL).

The Advocacy Academy is an activist youth movement. We serve as the political home for grassroots youth organising and the catalyst for collective action. The lives of the young people we work alongside have been directly shaped by living in an unjust world, and we exist to turn their anger into action.
Young people are often the catalysts for major social change, from the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee at the heart of the Civil Rights Movement, to the Soweto Uprising mobilising young people to resist the apartheid regime's education policies, to the Sunrise Movement redrawing the electoral map across America, and more recently encampments and protests across the world protesting the genocide in Palestine. How successfully they achieve real and lasting change depends on whether they are organised and whether they have the right strategy and tactics to be effective.
This is why we are looking for a Director capable of envisioning the full journey of a young person through their time with The Advocacy Academy from the first activation point to whenever they choose to end their journey with us. We want someone who is excited to ensure the educational and operational excellence required to deliver this life-changing experience - and who’s bursting with ideas to make it even better year-on-year.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE
- Experienced Programmes Director, ideally with extensive experience working with young people
- Proven experience in creative facilitation and learning design, ideally curriculum planning as well Proven experience in managing a team and line managing staff members

Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) is an international non-governmental organisation which works to amplify the voices of rural women globally. Our small Central Office team work with member organisations and individuals in the UK and around the world to ensure that rural women are recognized for their critical importance in society, represented, and have a platform to influence policy makers. We combine advocacy and small-scale, women-led development projects designed by the local women who will implement them for the benefit of their communities.

This role is dedicated to gathering and sharing powerful stories that highlight both the charity’s impact and the lived experiences of people with arthritis.
As a skilled storyteller, you will craft compelling case studies that enhance Versus Arthritis’ brand, marketing, and communications across owned and earned channels, driving awareness, conversation, and engagement. Working closely with teams across the organisation, you will identify and develop inspiring stories that align with the organisational strategy and campaigns, empowering colleagues to connect with and motivate audiences.
You will also be responsible for maintaining and regularly updating the stories centre in line with data and compliance processes, ensuring stories remain a powerful and ethical tool for advocacy and engagement.

This hands-on role will be responsible for preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring all transactions and month-end processes are carried out, preparation of balance sheet, capital projects and fixed assets reconciliations , line management of finance officers and assistants, as well as oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable and VAT returns. You will be involved in cash flow forecasting, treasury/banking processes, budgeting/forecasting process, monthly reporting, variance analysis and more. You will support the CFO, and work closely with all schools’ leadership teams and Headteachers.
The successful candidate will have previous financial experience ideally in a school environment and a recognised accounting qualification,, and will be flexible and able to demonstrate an ability to adapt to a changing environment. You will be professional in your approach to all aspects of the role, extremely well organised, a team player and competent with accounting and procurement software, MsOffice and Google Suites.
Main Responsibilities

Produce draft monthly and annual financial statements, including payroll and balance sheets reconciliations, income and expenditure, and cash flow statements

Undertake payroll preparation including staff cost allocation on a monthly basis

Support the production of regular re-forecasts during the academic year

Prepare and post monthly and annual prepayment and accruals

Maintain fixed asset register and post depreciation

Monitor of capital projects income and expenditure and carry out necessary postings at the end of each project

Ensure compliance with VAT, taxation, and other liabilities, minimizing amounts due while meeting legal requirements

Undertake a credit control function thus ensuring that the payment of outstanding sums are received as swiftly as possible

Liaise with auditors and facilitate all audit arrangements

Manage finance team in the central services and work closely with School Leaders to provide consistent financial information to all schools

Collaborate with the CFO to design and implement new financial systems and processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining strong internal controls

Act as an extended part of the schools' Senior Leadership Teams, providing high-level support to their back-office functions

Support schools in setting reliable and realistic budgets based on consistent planning assumptions

Monitor and identify corrective actions when necessary to ensure budget adherence.

Serve as a liaison between the finance team and our schools, providing support and equipping them to carry out their roles effectively

Develop the knowledge and understanding of the Trust’s schools' Leadership Teams, fostering professional relationships and networking opportunities between school

At Lancaster & District Homeless Action Service (LDHAS) our primary aim is to support homeless and vulnerably housed people into secure accommodation and provide assistance to maintain said accommodation, in addition to providing mental health, substance abuse, and advocacy support to ensure long-term quality of life and inclusion for our clients.
Providing a competitive starting salary of £18556.20 per annum for 22.5 hours per week, we are looking for an Engagement Officer (EO) to work alongside our two other Engagement Officers, who will triage and support clients and build a support package in liason with visiting professionals, volunteers, and staff of LDHAS in line with its aims and objectives. As a member of the LDHAS team you will be enrolled into the NEST pension scheme and will be entitled to 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata).
You will ensure that good relations are maintained with the neighbours of LDHAS and with the local community, and that LDHAS clients in the immediate vicinity of the building are conducting themselves in an acceptable way. You will motivate and enable clients as they engage with LDHAS and liaise with a variety of homeless hub organisations as required.
You will manage footfall in the building ensuring that health and safety protocols and procedures are maintained throughout the building during the hours of opening and assist the other Engagement Officers with clothing, shower, and laundry facility management.
The successful applicant will have a communication style that motivates and enables people and will be able to maintain relationships and gain the cooperation of others. This requires the skills to motivate, negotiate, persuade and empathise. You will be working as part of a team of 6 staff, 2 to 3 volunteers per day, and regular visiting agency staff.
