Role Overview

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Trainer to join our Bet You Can Help Now team. You will deliver engaging, interactive workshops across a range of organisations, both in person and online. Working alongside our Experts by Experience (EbEs), you’ll ensure our sessions are insightful, impactful, and supportive.

This role is home-based, but you’ll need to be prepared for regular travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays, to deliver our workshops effectively.

Reporting to the Head of Training, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards and reputation of our programme, ensuring each training session meets the diverse needs of learners and our organisational goals.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

Interagency work

· Work to embed the Case Manager role into multi-agency responses to domestic abuse in the area.

· Effective understanding and implementation of institutional advocacy by pro- socially challenging partner agencies, acknowledging best practice and striving for change to benefit the individual, the service and the sector.

· Support other professionals in responding to service users in a way that is coterminous with the aims and ethos of the Drive Project.

· Working closing with other professionals to ensure that risk management and safeguarding duties are effectively met.

· Develop and maintain effective partnership working with statutory, private and voluntary agencies to address the issue of domestic abuse.

Represent the service at operational multi-agency meetings, feeding back initiatives and outcomes to the team and contribute to the evaluation of the quality of activities these services offer.

· Provide a single point of proactive and regular contact for a range of professionals involved in the case of the service user.

Case management

· Comply with child protection and information sharing policies, ensuring that service users and colleagues understand and comply with the service’s safeguarding framework.

· Manage a case load focusing on high risk perpetrators of domestic abuse to provide an assertive, medium to long term service, based on thorough assessment and individual support planning that adopts the principles of both ‘Support (change) or/and Disrupt (continued offending) concept.

· Contribute to regular service reviews which include monitoring data, evaluations, intake and output policy, and practice and work load reviews for the whole service.

· Attend monthly case management meeting with the Service Manager .

· Attend clinical supervision.

· Take appropriate steps to protect where there is an imminent risk to another person.

Recording and administration

· Ensure that case files and records are accurate and complete, and are kept and in compliance with Data Protection Act requirements.

· To enter all the required information into the Drive project electronic case management system to enable tracking of service user change, multi-agency working and risk management.

· Weekly maintenance and accurate and secure audit trail of all relevant communication.

· Comply with the data protection and information sharing protocols that Drive has agreed to.

Direct work with service users

· Maintain a proactive response to service users, continuously providing positive options for behaviour change throughout the service users time in the Drive project

· Use combination of motivational work, relationship building and a broad range of therapeutic skills to engage service users to addressing their abusive behaviour

· Motivate and support service users to address the broad range of needs that may contribute to the risk that they pose to others or act as barrier for them in addressing that risk. e.g. housing, substance use etc.

· To ensure that service users understand that the community and Drive project will ensure that they are accountable for continued use of abuse and abusive behaviour towards others

· Ensure that there is a consistent delivery of services to the identified perpetrators of domestic abuse, including comprehensive risk assessment, support planning, referrals to other agencies and MARACs.

· Develop strategies that will disrupt the continued risk posed by service users

Undertake assessment of risk, needs and attitudes to inform the individual 

Purpose of the role

To develop and deliver Brook’s Education and Wellbeing work with young people, to support and facilitate online training sessions for professionals and Parents, ensuring effective delivery against commissioned contracts as well as programmes that generate additional income for Brook. Bank Staff will facilitate training for adults, parents and carers and may be required to liaise with Social Care and Police, work within multi agency teams and coordinate Safeguarding concerns and referrals.

Our Charity:

We are a busy, ambitious charity operating at the heart of the Wandsworth community since 1995, helping thousands of people across the borough in unpaid Caring roles. We give information and advice, organise respite, offer complementary therapies, deliver training, provide peer support, arrange fun events and much more.  In short, we are the Carer's friend and advocate, often helping Carers through difficult times.

The Role:

This role involves one to one support for Carers of people with dementia, providing information, guidance, and advocacy, developing and delivering dementia training for Carers and facilitating support groups. This role also includes coordinating and delivering monthly Dementia Cafes for people with dementia and their Carers, including supervising cafe volunteers.

Your skills and Experience:

The successful applicant will have outstanding organisational and communication skills, be confident delivering training and outreach. They will be able to manage conflicting demands with tight deadlines, be a key team player and committed to working with Carers and volunteers.

They will have excellent IT skills and be able to adapt to providing services both face to face and via virtual platforms, whilst maintaining a consistent service for Carers.

The Living Well Team:
The Bury Living Well Service is formed from an alliance of mental health services in the Bury area. The staff team is made up of staff from different backgrounds from Pennine Care Foundation Trust, Bury Involvement Group, the Creative Living Centre, and Early Break, and includes both clinical and non-clinical staff who employ a multi-disciplinary team approach to supporting individuals with significant mental health challenges in the community.

Job Summary:
You will form part of the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) provision within the Bury Living Well Model as a member of the Creative Living Centre (CLC) Service Delivery Team. The Link Worker is responsible for case loading adults experiencing mental and emotional distress, offering person-centred and trauma informed support in the community both face to face and via telephone. Ensuring that service users are provided with both initial and ongoing support in either 1:1 or group sessions, as appropriate to their needs which are identified and reviewed on an ongoing basis. You will engage empathically with those you support, providing positive emotional and therapeutic support, through a collaborative approach which focuses on individual strengths rather than deficits, enabling and promoting autonomy and self-care. You will work alongside clinical staff and staff from other VCSE organisations to form multidisciplinary team approach to collaboratively support individuals in the community. You will be supported by the Living Well VCSE Coordinator, Operational Programme Manager and Clinical Lead. CPD opportunities are available and personal interests/skills will be supported to development and growth. This is a new post and there will be an opportunity to help shape and evolve it.

The role is 35 hours per week and will have a base in Bury but expected to travel across the Bury area in community settings.

You will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering internal training programmes to enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff and volunteers, aligned with our Learning & Development (L&D) policy.

Working closely with managers and subject matter experts, you will identify training needs, create engaging learning materials, and ensure that all training aligns with best practices.

You will also oversee training logistics, maintain accurate records, and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.

You will be passionate about supporting teams to provide high quality services.

You will have experience in learning and development, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the challenges faced by people accessing EF support.

This is a national role, you will be expected to travel to all of our bases across England.

About you

You will have experience of developing, delivering and quality assuring training in the health and social care field.

You should also have:

• Experience of recording information, analysis and presentation of data.
• Flexible approach to training delivery, including face-to-face, virtual, and blended learning across the country.
• Understanding of different learning styles including neurodiversity and how to support all styles
• Experience of planning training or events.
