Linden Road in Redbourn supports 2 gentlemen living in their own bungalows with everyday life skills. The service provides a 24/7 support service, with an emphasis on choice and control, enabling customers to achieve greater independence, improved quality of life and integration into the wider community.

Sundial Centre for Education on Harmful Practices (“Sundial” previously called Oxford Against Cutting) delivers high quality education and training on harmful practices, such as female genital mutilation (FGM), ‘honour’-based abuse (HBA) and harmful body alterations. We offer safeguarding training for teams of professionals such as teachers, police and social workers. We also deliver lessons in schools, as well as workshops for community groups. Job Description
The charity would like to increase our digital footprint by 50% and in order to do this we need a highly motivated communications lead to boost our profile. You will create and deliver a marketing, press and social media strategy, to increase both the reach of our work and awareness of harmful practices. You will build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including journalists, influencers and ambassadors to raise our visibility in both English and international languages in UK press, manage all our platforms and create digital content. You will work with the team and trustees to achieve desired outputs within agreed timeframes and budgets, to operational standards. Your work will be co-designed and informed by survivors and communities. You will operate under the principles of Do No Harm.
This role will be home-based and in Oxfordshire and will report to the CEO.
Person Specification
You will ideally be from a community affected by a harmful practice such as FGM/C or ‘honour’-based abuse and forced marriage. This does not necessarily mean you personally have been affected, but you have a deep understanding of the issues from living in your community.
Your knowledge of the topic:
You will need a strong understanding of violence against women and girls (VAWG), policy and legislation, ideally having experience working in the VAWG sector.
High level of organisation:
Most of the time you will be working from your home office so you will need be highly self-motivated and organised to meet deadlines for campaigns around international days (e.g. International Women’s Day) for example. You will be required to attend occasional meetings in Oxfordshire or elsewhere in the UK, for example at conferences where Sundial is represented, and some team meetings.

Main purpose of role:
The primary purpose of this role is to develop and deliver innovative direct marketing campaigns that drive donor engagement across our regular giving and cash programmes. As an Individual Giving Officer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our fundraising program. Main duties and responsibilities:
• Project manage multiple direct marketing campaigns delivering accurate campaigns on time, on budget and to a high standard.
• Work across the organisation to gather engaging content for our direct marketing activities. Write and review copy for collateral used for engagement, conversion and acquisition activities.
• Completing relevant campaign management documents including post-activity analysis reports, identifying learnings and recommendations for future campaigns, and writing internal and external briefs.
• Support the Head of Individual Giving with forecasting and reporting across financial and non-financial KPIs in relation to the Individual Giving programme.

The Learning and Development (L&D) Facilitator plays a key role in enhancing the skills and capabilities of our employees by coordinating and implementing effective training programs.
This role supports the planning, organisation, and execution of L&D initiatives, ensuring that employees have the necessary tools and knowledge to excel in their roles and contribute to the company’s overall success.
The L&D Facilitator works closely with internal teams to deliver engaging and impactful learning experiences, tracks training progress, and provides administrative support for all L&D activities.
Role Responsibilities

This is a unique Dementia Adviser role working across Rotherham and Sheffield in the Rotherham Carers Resilience Service and our Sheffield Dementia Short-term Intervention Service and Hospital Discharge Pilot. These services offer specialist support for 4 to 6 weeks offering advice and support, preventing crisis or provide crisis intervention support if needed.
Referrals for these services come from Rotherham and Sheffield GPs and staff working in the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. No two days are the same in this role and our work really can transform the lives of people affected by dementia. You will be supporting dementia carers in Rotherham and people with a dementia diagnosis (or on the dementia pathway) and/or their carers and wider families in Sheffield.
You will be supported by a small team of dementia advisers, along with our Sheffield & Rotherham local services manager and manager of the Carers Resilience Service in Rotherham.
About you

The Role
The Speech and Language Therapist at the Education Hub will provide specialist assessment, intervention and support for children and young people affected by the Grenfell Tragedy. The therapist will conduct comprehensive assessments using evidence-based tools, including formal standardised assessments, observational analysis and dynamic assessment approaches to evaluate speech, language and communication needs.
You will:
• To work on a 1:1 and group basis with children and young people and provide a high level of expertise to develop students’ speech, language and communication skills.

About the organisation:
The Grenfell 'Education Hub' will open later this year to serve those most affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy. The hub will provide educational support to children and young people, their families, and local schools.
A consultation process in 2023 and 2024 about the needs of the community and the bereaved and survivors led to proposals for an educational ‘hub’. This will comprise a wide range of professionals including four specialist teachers, an Educational Psychologist, a Speech and Language Therapist, an Occupational Therapist, a Careers Coordinator, and a Family Support Worker. About this exciting opportunity
The Police Custody In-Reach Service has recently launched across two main custody suites at Perry Barr & Oldbury. We have embedded credible lived experienced and culturally competent workers into the custody suites to use the arrest as a reachable moment to engage with CYP under 25 years of age of any gender that have been arrested for criminal activities, gangs, and related issues such as carrying weapons, drug related offences, violence and county lines and wider exploitation concerns. The service provided uses a trauma-informed approach to support in a number of areas (e.g., housing, finances, substance misuse, mental health, training, employment, family matters). Initial contact is made in custody suites, followed by meeting in the community to provide tailored support.
You will provide a high-level service to young people 11-25 impacted by gangs, youth violence, county lines and exploitation as either victims or perpetrators. You will help each young person to identify and realise alternative aspirations and goals to support them to establish lifestyles that move them away from criminal activities, gang involvement, violence, and negative life choices.
What we are looking for
- Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families.
- Experience of engaging positively and deter young people aged 11-25 in custody from offending once they have been identified as being involved in a violence related incident, being at risk of exploitation or gang affiliated.
- Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people, for example people who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused.
- Experience of providing support, advice and advocacy and the ability to assess clients’ needs.

A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. But we are also much more than this. We are a charity that campaigns on the issues that matter to parents. We run breastfeeding and infant feeding support, provided by specialist counsellors. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. And we support women and families facing specific challenges, such as social isolation, feeding difficulties or poor mental health.
Our Hartlepool Infant Feeding and Perinatal Mental Health Peer Support projects are commissioned by Hartlepool Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings and perinatal mental health peer support for families throughout the Hartlepool community. The support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.
We are seeking a capable Peer Supporter who will support parents at University Hospital of North Tees and at various community settings in Hartlepool. This role will mainly be based out in the community (expenses will be reimbursed).
About the Role
You will be responsible for offering peer support for parents within University Hospital of North Tees
and the community across Hartlepool. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
· Providing breastfeeding support to families on the wards at University Hospital of North Tees
and perinatal mental health and infant feeding peer support in community settings across Hartlepool.
· Support in delivering inductions for volunteer peer supporters.
· To report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team.
· To attend regular supervision/support sessions.
· Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Hartlepool area and ensuring all support is accessible and inclusive.
· Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.
You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. You must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.
Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Peer Supporter.

About the Role
Sense is recruiting a Senior Community Fundraiser, this is a full time permanent position based in our offices in Kings Cross, London. This is a hybrid role, working in the office 2 days per week.
We’re looking for an experience fundraiser to join our Community Fundraising Team, responsible for generating income and engagement, working closely with services, volunteers and engagement staff. The successful candidate will support and deliver the community fundraising strategy, growing our portfolio and building new long-term relationships for Sense. You will be responsible for generating income for Sense, supporting the delivery of our Community Team income target of £569,000, enabling community fundraising to become a dependable source of income for the charity.
The main duties and responsibilities include:
- To ensure all community supporters are given the highest level of customer care and that all enquiries and requests for support are responded to quickly and effectively.
- To focus on growing income for Community Team across two key areas - groups and associations and schools and universities.
- The Senior Community Fundraiser will lead on the Community Team’s national projects and communicate updates and plans effectively with the team.
- To achieve agreed income targets, monitoring and forecasting on a regular basis and taking remedial action when necessary.
- Build effective and consistent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and to engage and enthuse them about activities of the Community Fundraising team.
- To work closely with the wider Fundraising Directorate in order to break down silo working and ensure that all opportunities for fundraising are maximised and knowledge sharing takes place Directorate-wide.
- To work with colleagues in our Operations and Trading teams to develop their fundraising potential and supporting them with fundraising ideas and collateral.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Understanding of Community based fundraising trends.
- Evidence of own continuing professional development.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a community fundraising environment.
- Experience providing the highest level of stewardship to supporters / fundraisers or customers.
- Experience managing projects, with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable regularly speaking to both current supporters and potential supporters in person and by the phone.
- Experience of working with budgets and financial targets.
- Experience with proposal writing or grant writing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to keep clear and accurate records, producing reports and analysis and presenting them in an effective way to stakeholders and Head of Team.
- Creative, and can generate new and innovative ways to fundraise, with a strong desire to succeed
