Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead and grow our national family support services for disabled children, young people, and their families. As Head of Advice, Information and Family Support, you will be responsible for the strategic development, delivery, and quality assurance of a broad portfolio of non-clinical family services—ranging from emotional and practical support to peer networks, parenting guidance, and tailored one-to-one interventions.

You will be a confident leader with extensive experience managing family-facing services, ideally within health, social care, or community settings, and possess a strong track record of working closely with commissioners and local authorities to secure funding and shape service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Service Development

• Lead the strategic development of our national family support services, ensuring they are responsive, evidence-informed, and outcomes-focused.
• Identify opportunities for service innovation and expansion, particularly in response to commissioning priorities and gaps in local provision.
• Ensure alignment with organisational goals, sector best practice, and the diverse needs of disabled children and their families.

Commissioning and Partnership Engagement

• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with local authority commissioners, Integrated Care Boards, and strategic partners to influence commissioning decisions and secure long-term funding.
• Lead on tender submissions, funding proposals, and service agreements, ensuring alignment with local priorities and national policy developments.

Service Management and Quality Assurance

• Oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of a wide range of family support services, ensuring high standards of delivery and consistency across regions.
• Implement robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks, using data, feedback, and impact reports to inform service improvements and demonstrate outcomes to funders and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legal, contractual, and safeguarding requirements.

Team Leadership and Culture

• Lead, support, and develop a geographically dispersed team of family support professionals, setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
• Promote reflective practice, supervision, and professional development across the service.

Family and Community Engagement

• Champion co-production and user-led approaches, ensuring that families are meaningfully involved in the design, delivery, and evaluation of services.
• Ensure services are accessible, culturally competent, and tailored to meet the diverse needs of families, particularly those from underrepresented or marginalised communities.

Person Specification

Essential

• Substantial leadership experience within family support services, children’s services, or similar community-based roles.
• Proven success in working with commissioners and securing service contracts or grants.
• Deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by families of disabled children and young people.
• Strong strategic and operational skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-faceted services.
• Demonstrated ability to manage remote teams, build partnerships, and lead with compassion and clarity.
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding practices, family support frameworks, and multi-agency working.

Desirable

• Experience developing or delivering services within SEND, early help, or targeted family support frameworks.
• Familiarity with public sector commissioning cycles, procurement processes, and tender writing.

We have an exciting role as a Fundraising Officer to join our small but ambitious fundraising team.  We are embarking on a significant capital redevelopment, and will raise income through trusts and foundations, individual donations and corporate supporters.

You will be responsible for supporting the Head of Fundraising with timely communications to both supporters and prospective donors, researching potential fundraising opportunities, maintaining the CRM system and reconciling fundraising accounts.

You will support the smooth running of the day centre provision and have a commitment to supporting vulnerable clients in a person-centred way.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as an Health Advocate Educator supporting women and children who are impacted by domestic violence. 

The Health Advocate Educator will train and provide ongoing support to GP practices and other health professionals to enable primary and secondary care staff to be able to effectively talk to their patients about domestic violence and abuse (DVA), provide early identification and offer appropriate care pathways for female, male and non-binary survivors of domestic violence and abuse, aged 16 years and over and their children.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Multi-Skilled Engineer in our Facilities team at St Joseph’s Hospice. We are looking for someone who has experience in plumbing, mechanical and electrical working in a palliative care/clinical environment.

The role will provide support to the team and carry out repairs to mechanical and plumbing services and equipment, e.g. replacement of filters in ventilation systems, check tensions of drive belts, record details of works, materials and time on a docket or our helpdesk system. The role will also support with programmed planned maintenance works to mechanical and plumbing services such as checking temperature of water taps and outlets, descaling showerheads, following prescribed instructions to defined standards, record actions and/or findings using a formal written report system and provide information to the Head of Facilities on replacement parts and spares to enable orders to be raised.

About you

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Either BTEC National Certificate (HNC Electronic Engineering). Or Completion of at least 4yr apprenticeship of Practical and Theoretical Training as an Electronic Technician or equivalent
• Good knowledge of plumbing materials sufficient to be able to maintain and discuss the maintenance needs of water systems i.e. pump and pipe sizes and their uses
• Good knowledge on health and Safety risk assessment and relevant Health and Safety legislation.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to take responsibility for the day-to-day work of our innovative Hearing Voices Projects. To be successful in this role, you need to have an in-depth understanding of the Hearing Voices Movement and the role of peer support groups within this. You will ideally have experience of supervising or mentoring volunteers and some project management experience.

With the confidence and organisational skills necessary to take the lead on busy and diverse projects, you will be required to engage with a wide range of stakeholders (from the adult mental health, prison, forensic and youth sectors). As such, this role is best suited to someone who is flexible enough to modify their approach to suit the situation.

We are looking for someone with strong facilitation skills who is able to deliver and design training that communicates the values of the Hearing Voices Network clearly and accessibly.

Among other tasks, you will be required to:

• Oversee the current Hearing Voices Projects to ensure they are consistent and embody the Mind in Camden and Hearing Voices Movement ethos.
• Be part of some of the frontline work, including facilitating groups.
• Build networks and deliver training sessions for the Hearing Voices Projects.

About the Role

Head of Commercial Income

Are you an experienced senior leader with a strong background in commercial strategy, retail operations, and income generation? Are you ready to drive innovation and growth for a leading UK hospice charity? Prospect Hospice is seeking a visionary Head of Commercial Income to help deliver our ambitious plans and ensure financial sustainability for generations to come.

With a new five-year strategy underway, this is an exciting time to join us. We’re investing in our income generation team to ensure we meet our ambitious growth targets.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with flexibility as required).

What is the role?

This is a strategic leadership role where you’ll oversee our commercial income portfolio, including 18 retail shops, our warehouse and logistics operations, and emerging income streams. You’ll lead a dynamic team and create innovative business strategies to grow our commercial income from £6 million to £9 million over the next five years.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow our commercial operations (retail, warehouse, logistics, and new income streams)
• Develop and implement high-impact business plans to increase revenue and profitability
• Expand retail operations and enhance both in-store and online sales performance
• Identify and develop new commercial opportunities to diversify income
• Monitor performance, manage budgets, and ensure targets are met or exceeded
• Inspire, mentor and develop a high-performing, values-driven team
• Collaborate with senior leaders to contribute to organisational strategy and innovation

About you:

We’re looking for a commercially savvy, inspiring leader who can demonstrate:

• Extensive experience in a senior commercial leadership role, driving growth and profitability across multiple income streams
• Proven ability to develop and deliver effective commercial income strategies, business plans, and budgets to grow income and impact
• Exceptional leadership skills – ability to inspire, and build and develop a high-performing team
• Proven track record of delivering income against specific targets
• Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to influence and negotiate
• Experience in expanding retail operations, driving growth and profit across both online and offline sales
• Experience in leading processes to develop new commercial income streams

Due to the nature of this role, a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is also required.
