We are looking a motivated and organised individual to play a key role in our work to help keep children safer online. This role will be central to the NSPCC's new strategy of amplifying the voices and experiences of children and young people to help keep them safe online. The role will support the delivery of our new child safety online youth taskforce, as well as supporting other projects across our programme of work. These include work to better utilise Childline insights, deliver participation opportunities through Childline and schools and amplify the voices of children through key events and comms.
Our research found that there are on average 3,500 online child sexual abuse crimes taking place every month, and we've seen an 80% rise in grooming offences since 2017. With the recent passing of the Online Safety Act this is a crucial moment in turning the tide on online harm and abuse. We believe for this to be successful young people must have a voice on what safety online looks like to them.
Young people have been clear: 'Though we may be young, we have a strong opinion on how to keep children safe online'. They have told us that being online is a 'key part of their lives' but they can follow every rule adults set about online safety and still experience harm. Currently, there's a lack of consideration for young people's thoughts and experiences, and how these can be used to drive real change in the online world. We want to change that.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our small but mighty team in a strategically important position as manager of our flagship Fair Water Footprints Programme. Over the past 15 years Water Witness has carved out a key role in holding governments, business, and investors to account for sustainable water management. In 2021 this work triggered the Glasgow Declaration for Fair Water Footprints - a breakthrough moment at COP26, when twenty-eight founding Signatories committed to end the abuse of water in our supply chains and establish water stewardship as the global business norm by 2030. With our partners we have secured significant funds to take forward and scale up this groundbreaking work which will harness trade, enterprise, and civic engagement to drive water justice and climate resilience as part of the UK’s Just Transition for Water Security.
The Programme Manager will be accountable for coordinating and delivering our contributions to the Fair Water Footprint Programme. These will include: the production and dissemination of influential water footprint assessments; pioneering new research and on-the-ground investigations; participatory planning, technical support and training with diverse partners; development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of action plans, advocacy and communication campaigns to secure improved water security for millions of people and systemic change at a sectoral and global scale.
The successful candidate will use their exceptional organisational and communication skills, technical know-how and experience of multi-stakeholder engagement and policy influence to shape this world-changing initiative and ensure impact. They will represent Water Witness at the highest levels, to convene and work constructively with leaders from public, private and financial sectors, civil society, and academia, to co-lead a partner coordination unit, and ensure value for money and impact through sub-contracts and grants.
This new position will play a central role in delivery of our wider 2030 Strategy, will support our country teams and line manage a Programme Officer. You will have experience running both qualitative and quantitative insights projects and be excited to join an ambitious charity and established CX team!
The Marketing Insights Officer is a rare breed of marketer/fundraiser and data analyst, with the unique ability to analyse and interpret data. This is a technically led role, it’s key you have the following skills and knowledge:

The role
Reporting to the Director of Sector Development and working closely with the CILIP Learn Development Manager the Training and Partnerships Officer will support in the delivery of CILIPs training offer.
The ideal candidate will have a broad experience in delivering or overseeing training delivery, online events and webinars, managing successful relationships with stakeholders and have strong IT skills. The main responsibilities of the role include:
- To work with the Director of Sector Development and the CILIP Learn Development Manager to deliver a market-leading training offer for CILIP within CILIP Learn. To deliver and evaluate a portfolio of training events, building effective relationships with training providers.
- To support successful contract and stakeholder management related to the training partnerships and training contracts.
- To develop and maintain systems and processes which ensure that the development of the CILIP Learn offer is based on data, evidence and market intelligence.
It is not essential for the candidate to possess prior knowledge of the sector but they will have the right level of knowledge and enthusiasm to learn rapidly and bring their transferable skills to the role.
The role is 28 hours per week, ideally worked over 4 days but we are open to discussions around the working pattern for delivery of this role.

The Degrees Initiative is a UK-based NGO that builds the capacity of developing countries to evaluate solar radiation management geoengineering (SRM), a controversial proposal for reducing some impacts of climate change by reflecting sunlight away from the Earth. Degrees is neutral on whether SRM should ever be used, but we believe that developing countries should be empowered to conduct their own research and to play a central role in SRM discussions. The initiative has been working in different forms for over a decade and our work receives worldwide coverage and widespread acclaim.
We seek a Communications Manager to work closely with the Degrees team, the researchers we support in the Global South, and our stakeholders around the world to further raise our profile - initially focusing on the specialist SRM expert community but over time expanding to the broader climate science and policy arena.
The right candidate will manage a multifaceted comms operation that will:

Job Context
YMCA England & Wales is the national body of the YMCA in England & Wales, supporting, developing and representing just over 100 local YMCA’s, ranging from small community based organisations to nationally relevant specialists.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to ensure that YMCA England & Wales is able to mobilise the public, our federation, external organisations and young people to support our campaigns calling for political or social changes to improve the lives of young people across the country. This will include building relationships with local YMCAs and young people to ensure our work is informed and driven by those we represent, creating advocacy actions for them and the public to engage with and giving our young people a platform for their voices to be heard.
Scope and Limits of Authority:
The Campaigns Officer will report into the Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager. The post will have no line management or formal budgetary responsibilities.
The post holder must operate at all times in accordance with the approved policies and procedures of YMCA England & Wales and act in accordance with the values and ethos of the organisation as outlined in the Code of Conduct. In addition all employees must adhere to the performance management processes and systems approved by the Board of Trustees.
The post holder will support the Safeguarding, health and well-being and safety of staff, volunteers and supporters we work with, some of whom may be classed as vulnerable people or adults at risk. In the event of a risk becoming apparent or if concerns arise about a vulnerable person’s welfare, to immediately report these concerns in line with the appropriate policy and procedure.

Areas of responsibility
● Contribute to the development of YMCA England & Wales’ national campaigns strategies.
● Project manage and deliver the public mobilisation elements of our campaigns and influencing strategies.
● Create online actions to support the campaign strategy on Engaging Networks, our advocacy software, from petitions to emails to MP.
● Lead the content and development of our online campaigns community, ensuring that they are active and engaged on the issues we are working on.
● Create and develop campaign materials such as videos, images and toolkits - including the recruitment, curation and stewardship of our case studies.
● Manage the production process of campaign materials from copywriting and design to printing and delivery.
● Engage with local YMCAs to ensure that they are active in supporting our campaigns.
● Develop materials, training and deliver one-to-one support to local YMCAs to engage in our campaigns.
● Manage the recruitment and onboarding of our YMCA Youth Ambassadors.
● Plan, deliver and evaluate a programme of training and activity throughout the year for Youth Ambassadors, including an annual residential.

As Seafood Sustainability Officer you will help ensure this partnership is a success.
As Seafood Sustainability Officer, we want you to lead delivery of the sustainable seafood workstream in the WWF- M&S partnership and work to promote sustainable seafood production and consumption. This will involve developing plans and actions to achieve responsible sourcing of seafood with M&S as well as analysing and assessing environmental impacts and identifying suitable improvement work. You will collaborate with food businesses to materialise sectoral transformational changes and advocate for radical reforms of fisheries and seafood related policies at the national, regional and international level. You will commission and manage research and studies to deliver specific seafood programme objectives too. You will also collaborate with colleagues to ensure the deliveries of seafood improvement and advocacy work as well as communicate issues of importance to the seafood programme in-line with our overarching food sustainability strategies.
To play a part in building back nature, you must have a relevant degree or experience of seafood supply chains, aquaculture, fisheries and/or marine science in public, private, academic or NGO sectors. This will have given you sound knowledge of seafood markets and supply chains as well as aquaculture and fisheries policies. Used to engaging with internal and external stakeholders you will have excellent communication and relationship building skills. Capable of analysing scientific evidence and data you will be comfortable understanding, absorbing and synthesising complex information, and translating it into impactful policy, advice and communications. You will enjoy working in dynamic teams that could be remote, multicultural or matrix too.
Good at managing projects, you will be results orientated and able to take decisions and solve problems. You will also be able to demonstrate a commitment to, and passion for, our mission.

The role
Are you a fundraiser with strong communication skills who enjoys building meaningful and rewarding relationships with mid and high value donors? If so, we have an opportunity to join our Philanthropy and Partnerships team in the newly created role of Philanthropy Officer.
In this role you will support the Philanthropy Manager and Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships in securing new four and five figure multi-year gifts from individuals. Your responsibilities will include day-to-day management and implementation of the mid-value giving strategy, verbal and written presentation of donor funding proposals, prospect research, and account management of your own High Net Worth individual supporters. Much of this role will be involved in the planning, project management and delivery of special major donor events to achieve defined strategic objectives.
About you
You will be an excellent communicator, both orally and written, who is confident in speaking with supporters. You will manage your own pipeline of donors, so will need to take initiative, prioritise and organise your own work, with limited supervision. You may have had experience organising and hosting special events for stewardship and cultivation, but this is not essential.
You will have:
- Excellent customer service skills with a background in major donor, relationship fundraising, direct marketing or a similar role working with High-Net-Worth Individuals.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present ideas creatively and persuasively.
- Confidence soliciting and securing four and five figure gifts from prospective donors, both verbally and in writing.
- Be comfortable managing a pipeline of supporters and presenting strategic planning recommendations based on data and analysis.
- A high standard of administrations skills with strong attention to detail.
- Competency with all standard Microsoft office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

THE ROLE
The Tree Equity Officer will lead on our vision that by 2030 we would like to see the added protection of existing trees and en route to 1 million more trees established in Scotland’s urban areas that currently have a low Tree Equity Score (TES). They will be responsible for establishing and developing partnerships with others to deliver exemplar projects across Scotland that demonstrate and communicate benefits of improving TES. The Tree Equity Officer will Advocate to embed use of TES in Local Area Plans/LA strategy of city authorities and encourage city authorities to raise funding for improving TES in their cities.
As part of the Scotland Team, they will be responsible for working together collaboratively with other colleagues across the Trust to develop and oversee the delivery of a Tree Equity strategy. They will work with policy and advocacy colleagues to influence local and national government and others to embed Tree Equity as a tool to inform and direct urban forestry and green space delivery and preferably embed within policy.
This is a Hybrid working role, where you’ll work part of your time at home and part of the time from one of our Regional Offices based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Our Hybrid Working Policy is flexible, and the frequency of time spent in your contracted office will vary across teams and job roles.
THE CANDIDATE
You will have excellent knowledge, experience and passion for urban forestry and/or urban green infrastructure. You will also have experience and understanding of the operation of local government and planning. You’ll be able to inspire and influence others to promote and embed Tree Equity delivery.
A key part of this roles requires programme and project management skills and experience in developing strategies and plans to deliver outcomes, particularly in urban greenspace.
You will have the ability to collaborate with other teams and colleagues to develop and lead the delivery of a Tree Equity strategy to ensure woods and trees are valued and recognised in key policies and decisions at a national level. You’ll have great research and analytical skills being able to communicate and tailor complex information to different audiences, building positive relationships internally and externally using your skills to influence stakeholders.
