Key Responsibilities

Brighton College is seeking to appoint a Development and Events Coordinator on a full-time, permanent basis.
Main purpose of the role:
This is a pivotal position within the dynamic and successful Development and Engagement team at Brighton College, United Kingdom’s School of the Decade. You will be joining us at an exciting time, as we build on the successful completion of another capital campaign, and launch a new regular giving appeal to our alumni community.
The role will demand close involvement in all aspects of fundraising and event coordination for Brighton College, with a particular focus on fundraising operations and donor care activity. General Duties and Responsibilities:
Fundraising:
•Process all campaign and regular donations and liaise with donors throughout the giving journey.
•Support the Senior Development Officer in the execution of planned fundraising appeals and projects (e.g. capital, annual, awards, corporate sponsorship).
•Oversee the prospect pipeline on the development database (Raiser’s Edge).
•Create guest bios ahead of key school events and support the department’s annual fundraising research programme.
•Coordinate the sending of regular tailored stewardship communications to supporters and external stakeholders.
Events:
•Create event collateral for Development and Engagement events.
•Coordinate key fundraising and stewardship events.
•Act as a key liaison for event guests before and during events.
•Help to manage the event/project management systems for the department.
•Attend fundraising and engagement events as and when required.
Department Administration:
•Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails.
•Keep accurate records for income and expenditure.

The role:
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic team player to deliver high quality support to the Events Manager in the planning and delivery of a range of onsite and online meetings, events and courses. This will necessitate maintaining effective administration systems and working with databases, websites and social media.
Reporting to the Events Manager, the Events Assistant will provide administrative and event delivery support for events in the planning of physical and/or virtual meetings, events and courses. This will include general support tasks pre-event, onsite and post-event including sourcing and liaising with venues, producing event marketing and communications and coordinating event material. The postholder will join our Events Manager and Events Assistant – bringing the Events Team to three people.
This role requires exceptional organisational skills, a meticulous eye for accuracy, high levels of customer service and the ability to deliver multiple projects in a timely manner. Also essential is a flexible, ‘hands-on’ approach and a willingness to help out in all areas of the Association potentially including attending and assisting at events which will require overnight stays at locations throughout the UK.

About the Organisation
Together We Learn is a small international development charity with a vision to break the cycle of poverty in Ethiopia by enabling disadvantaged children to access quality education.
We have been working closely with our Ethiopian partner organisation for over 25 years to achieve this. Our UK team is a small, close- knit team that supports the fundraising, international communications, and project delivery of the Ethiopian team.
Our approach is to work alongside state education infrastructure, addressing a range of needs related to access to and quality of education, as well as children’s wellbeing.
Our work with schools includes school infrastructure projects - providing safe, local schools - and supporting teachers with training and resources to inspire children to flourish in the classroom. Project Coordinator
The Role: The Project Coordinator supports our Ethiopian Projects team deliver, monitor, evaluate and report on our various project activities. The role involves regular communication with both our regional project teams and management, supporting the team to meet project deadlines, driving continual programme improvement through monitoring, evaluation and learning, and supporting the UK Chief Executive with project reporting and funding proposals.

As People Lead, you will play a key role in supporting Unifrog employees to work at their best. - With support from your line manager, act as a point of contact for employee relations, offering guidance and support to both employees and line managers. Including:
- Advising employees and line managers on our policies and procedures.

Project Background:
The Strengthening Civil Society Representation of Women with Disabilities in Ghana programme commenced in May 2024 and is a 2-year project funded by the European Union. The programme aims to strengthen the capacity for organisations of people with disabilities (OPDs), and organisations of women with disabilities in the areas of management, communication, fundraising, coordination, advocacy, gender, climate change, networking and financial accountability. Sightsavers will build the capacity of two OPDs, namely Women with Disability Development and Advocacy Organisation (WODAO), and the ABAK Foundation. WODAO and the ABAK Foundation will then cascade the capacity building areas downstream to members and partners to strengthen their ability to claim their rights and hold duty bearers to account.
Overall objective
Sightsavers is commissioning a consultant to a conduct a climate change situational analysis with a disability lens in the 33 project districts in the Bono, Bono East, Ashanti, Oti and Volta regions.

Duration of Project

We are at an exciting stage in our growth and are looking for a Donor Engagement Officer to support GFI’s fundraising efforts across Europe.
How you will make a difference
The work of GFI is powered by philanthropy. Reporting to our Philanthropy Manager, you will be responsible for translating the incredible work of GFI Europe’s programmatic teams into inspiring, engaging stewardship touch-points for our donors. You will bring creativity and data-driven insights to this role. The stewardship touch-points you deliver will support the work of our whole development team and inspire donors at all levels. You will also maintain and upgrade the support of leadership giving level (€2,000-€25,000 p.a.) donors in your own portfolio.
Your work will include:
- Delivering GFI Europe’s existing stewardship strategy (e.g. a mid-year impact update, end-of-year blog, virtual events, and gift anniversary emails).
- Enhancing GFI Europe’s stewardship strategy to maintain and improve donor retention at all gift levels, by researching and recommending creative and effective stewardship ideas (e.g. videos, digital stewardship platforms, events), suggesting improvements to existing processes, materials and resources, and implementing these changes.
- Building strong, meaningful, long-term relationships with a portfolio of 20-30 leadership-giving level donors and prospects (individuals and some foundations) across Europe through face-to-face meetings, video and telephone calls, email and other channels, to acquire, retain and upgrade their support.
- Collating and crafting timely, understandable, concise, and interesting updates about high-impact news about GFI Europe’s work, tailored to different countries and cultures, that frontline fundraisers can share with donors and prospects to show how their support makes a difference and inspires further giving.
- Helping to provide GFI Europe’s input into global stewardship materials and events, such as the Year in Review by collecting and submitting impact stories and collaborating with global colleagues.
- Assisting other frontline fundraisers with stewardship reports, according to need and capacity.
- Ensuring accurate, timely and thorough correspondence, acknowledgement and record-keeping at all stages of the donor journey for donors in your portfolio. You will use our CRM system (Salesforce) to manage prospects and supporters, enter and track gifts, pull reports, and analyse data.

The project has recently been through the research and design phase and is now ready to implement a number of tests to address health inequities experienced by Stroke survivors following their stroke. The project exploration and design has taken a collaborative approach with our NHS colleagues, the Engagement Lead will continue with this approach.
