Visitor Centre

• Meet and greet visitors in a pleasant and welcoming manner • Provide informative guided tours of the working farm utilising volunteers where possible

• Work with the Cook to ensure the café is set up appropriately and in time to open and provide assistance with end of day procedures to include cashing up and cleaning down

• Assist the Senior Centre Promotions Officer and Centre Manager with the planning and organisation of a range of events in order to raise World Horse Welfare’s profile and generate income

• Deal with general enquiries relating to the hiring and use of the visitor centre’s facilities (indoor school and conference room) and all subsequent liaison and co-ordination of bookings to ensure all facilities and arrangements are as required by the event organiser

• Assist the Senior Centre Promotions Officer to co-ordinate the events diary and ensure that volunteers are organised to work as required

• Work with the Senior Centre Promotions Officer and Communications department to ensure promotional and display materials are current and accurate

• Actively encourage visitors to support the charity by signing up to memberships and other charity products • Increase the charity’s supporter database through visitor data collection

 • Ensure all merchandise is presented professionally

• Working closely with the Senior Centre Promotions Officer ensure there is adequate merchandise in stock

• As directed by the Senior Centre Promotions Officer undertake stock-take of all merchandise

Our Charity

We are a ‘small but mighty’ charity with one big ambition: to stop leukaemia devastating lives. Over the next 10 years we want to help save and improve the lives of more people with leukaemia through finding and funding life-changing research. Despite progress in recent decades, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer every 16 minutes and survival rates are among some of the worst of any cancer. And the physical and psychological impact can be lifelong. Over the next 5 years we plan to increase our investment into ground-breaking world class research and policy development focused on improving access to kinder, more effective diagnosis, treatment and care for leukaemia and other blood cancers. Covering the operational, strategic and delivery of work we are looking for a Project Development Co-ordinator to operate across the South-East, within Kent or with the ability to travel across Kent. Travel within and occasionally outside the regions will be a necessity. 

This post provides an exciting and rewarding opportunity to supervise, deliver and lead on our stakeholder and community engagement across a region to support the delivery of NEA’s work programme.  The role will help deliver projects that can change lives, particularly during the energy crisis.  NEA’s project work aims to bring improvements to the health and wellbeing of low income and vulnerable householders, through one-to-one advice, group awareness sessions, upskilling and sharing of best practice.

Delivering on a range or projects, which demonstrate good practice in delivery of affordable warmth for low income and vulnerable householders, you will understand and drive the development of partnerships working with local authorities, housing providers, and various other partners.

 You will oversee the delivery of project outputs and outcomes, delivering energy and fuel debt advice directly to householders and be responsible for the preparation of reports to funders including collation of evidence of outcomes achieved; maintaining relationships with a network of stakeholders across a region. 

You will also work with the Project Development Manager to identify and develop new programmes of work, including preparation of funding applications, presentation of funding proposals to relevant funding bodies and to ensure effective liaison of NEA’s work programme with other activities within NEA.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED 

You will have demonstrable experience of developing and/or managing projects in the fields of energy efficiency, community development and regeneration, housing, social policy or consumer issues.

It is important that you have an awareness of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them.

You will need good organisational skills, as well as excellent written and communication skills, as you will maintain appropriate records and data, and produce regular written reports on project progress.

You will be an excellent communicator, with experience and understanding of how to effectively address the energy needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders - with the desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives;

Knowledge of energy efficiency, particularly within the domestic sector and community buildings, is desirable.

CORE PURPOSE:

Under the management of the Director of Client Services to provide specialist, evidence-based trauma therapy to children and young people seeking help from ASSIST throughout Northamptonshire.Therapy will be provided in an age appropriate manner.

ASSIST is a member of the United Kingdom Psychological Trauma Society and the European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies.All ASSIST specialist therapists are expected to work according to evidence based practice models (currently C.B.T. and E.M.D.R.), and in accordance with ethical practice. 

Key Tasks

1.To provide specialist evidence-based trauma therapy in an age appropriate manner, to include play and art therapy to children and young people across Northamptonshire seeking help from ASSIST.

2.To deliver robust assessment and formulation measures, ensuring effective and appropriate interventions are delivered.

3.To deliver client services directly, and to receive appropriate clinical supervision accordingly.

4.To attend multidisciplinary meetings and liaise with various professionals as required for the wellbeing of the clients.

5.To be non-judgemental in approach to all work.

6.To provide information on service provision and trauma/Post Traumatic Stress related issues to schools, parents and other professionals, and how children can be affected by trauma.

7.To assist and maintain the administrative systems for managing casework and the upkeep of all client records, and to ensure confidentiality for all ASSIST Service Users, within the confines of the ASSIST confidentiality policy and Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy.

8.To maintain confidentiality and respect when dealing with client information.

9.To adhere to all ASSIST’s policies and procedures and to promote the values, spirit and ethos of the organisation at all times.

10.To assist in the daily administration of the ASSIST Clinical service, including the support systems underpinning this service.

• Provide needs analysis and consultancy to our corporate clients, using various tools such as desk-based analysis, surveys, focus groups and interviews

I deliver these services myself and support our freelance associate trainers and facilitators to deliver them. I deliver across all sectors and industries in the public, third and private sector.

The opportunity

This is a great opportunity to make your mark on a fantastic community project as part of a small and friendly team. Using your excellent organisation and communication skills, you will support the existing Community RePaint (CRP) schemes and help to develop new schemes in order to substantially increase the volumes of paint collected and redistributed in local communities across the UK. You will promote and raise awareness of CRP online across multiple platforms, develop the CRP brand, lead on communications, and assist with promoting ReColour remanufactured paint. You will work with community organisations, paint manufacturers, retailers, businesses, decorators, and housing associations across the UK to increase the supply and distribution of surplus paint into the network and onto walls in local communities. An important aspect of the role is to develop and secure new schemes to join the network and find creative ways of encouraging paint reuse.

What you will be doing

Line managed by the Network Manager, you will have their support and guidance, to deliver the following;

Supporting the CRP network

• Proactively engage and respond to scheme enquiries, providing excellent customer service through email, phone, and social media accounts, troubleshooting to find quick and helpful solutions.
• Provide support and advice to all schemes, sharing relevant information and resources, and assisting with operational issues.
• Improve the ‘networking’ element of existing schemes, to increase the number of network functions and opportunities.
• Undertake visits to schemes across the UK, both independently and with CRP colleagues.
• Organise, devise, and deliver training materials, presentations, and events to support existing and new schemes.
• Respond to external enquiries via telephone and email.
• Liaise with external organisations in order to better assist local schemes and customers.
• Manage the project’s customer relationship management (CRM) system, liaising with developers and ensuring it is being fully utilised.

Growing the CRP network

• Contribute to the development of the CRP strategic delivery plans.
• Work with the Network Manager to develop and establish new schemes, identifying appropriate organisations, making contact, and supporting their onboarding.
• Support and, as appropriate, lead on developing new partnerships.
• Identify new and innovative ways of growing the network.

Marketing and communications management

• Produce and manage the CRP communications plan, working with the CRP Network Officer and Resource Futures communications team to deliver outputs as set out below.
• Support the Network Officer with the production and distribution of:
  • Monthly Paint Pad (to CRP schemes) and bi-monthly RePaint Roller (to external organisations) newsletters.
  • Regular press releases.
  • CRP network promotional materials.
• Produce marketing content (including photographs and videos) for use across the network’s communication channels.
• Assist individual schemes with the production of tailored communication and publicity materials.
• Oversee maintenance and update of the CRP website content, liaising with our website partners when complex amendments are needed.
• Oversee the maintenance and development of social media accounts – Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok.
• Conduct monthly reviews of social media activity, performance and website statistics with the Network Officer and assist with content planning for the month ahead.
• Deliver presentations to external organisations, to promote the work of CRP.
• Manage stocks of marketing materials, organising print of new materials, as necessary.

Other responsibilities

• Line management and professional development of the Network Officer.
• Analysis and reporting of quarterly and annual statistics.
• Monitor progress of schemes.
• Manage and maintain key project documents – ReColour database, scheme information, photos, information sheets, guidance documents etc. ensuring GDPR compliance for all data.
• Comply with company project management practices in line with our Integrated Management Systems.

Not Beyond Redemption was established by leading Family lawyer, Camilla Baldwin, to ensure that family law advice and representation is available not just to those who could afford it, but also to those who need it most. Maintaining a healthy and supportive relationship with family while in prison is crucial to reducing reoffending rates and improving rehabilitation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Executive Support:

• Manage the Founder’s inbox, draft and send emails on their behalf, and schedule appointments.
• Arrange and coordinate meetings for the Founder with internal and external parties.

Financial Management:

• Oversee online accountancy and manage payments through the online banking platform.
• Create cashflows and budgets to forecast income and expenditure, ensuring financial stability.
• Manage the relationship with the part-time accountant/bookkeeper, overseeing the production of annual accounts and reports.
• Handle organisational memberships and subscriptions (e.g., Information Commissioner’s Office, and Living Wage Foundation).

Operations Management:

• Organise monthly clinics at different prisons, coordinating with staff at prisons and partner law firms.

Payroll Administration:

Fundraising Support:

• Collaborate with the Head of Fundraising to identify Charitable Trusts and Foundations for potential applications.
• Assist in drafting funding applications and meeting with Charitable Trusts and Foundations to secure donations.
• Provide updates for funders to communicate the impact of their support.
• Keep fundraising documents updated, including the application tracker, fundraising calendar, and donations spreadsheet.
• Manage donation processes, ensuring accurate recording, acknowledgement, and stewardship of donors.

Communications and Marketing:

• Manage and curate content for the organisation’s social media platforms.
• Design compelling marketing materials to promote the organisation’s initiatives, including the annual Impact Report.
• Ensure the website is up to date.

Trustees and Board Management:

• Act as the main point of contact for the board of trustees.
• Coordinate and manage Trustees' meetings, compiling board agendas and associated paperwork.
• Prepare minutes for Trustees’ meetings.
• Communicate with Trustees throughout the year to keep them updated on all activities.

Event Coordination:

• Plan and execute fundraising events and charity initiatives.

The role 

National Energy Action (NEA) has recently secured funding to develop a new pilot project that aims to help local people reduce their heating bills, create healthier homes, and be ready for the transition to net zero.  Over 2 years, a local retrofit hub will be established in 3 different locations, each with 2 members of staff who will help build trust, provide guidance and support, harness opportunities, and empower local people to achieve and benefit from change.  The key will be to work at the heart of the community to encourage / support / enable householders to take up existing grants for energy efficiency measures but in addition, practical (funded) assistance will be available to enable retrofit works and to offer additional non-funded support as necessary.  As well as the important benefits to participating households, this demonstration project will provide valuable insight into the attitudes of low-income householders towards energy efficiency improvements, highlighting challenges and barriers to retrofitting energy efficiency measures into the homes of those who need it most.  NEA intends to utilise the knowledge gained (positives and negatives) to inform and influence those who make the decisions and design key national energy efficiency campaigns. 

The Local Retrofit Support Officer will be one of two new staff based in, and working to establish, a new local retrofit hub in Blackburn, Burnley or Hyndburn (exact location TBC). Key responsibilities

Social media

• Maintain Blagrave’s social media accounts, and work with the wider team to ensure a regular social media presence for Blagrave.
• Research, create, and publish content for Blagrave’s social media platforms. This includes writing, getting approval and scheduling content, and creating appropriate imagery that is engaging and aligned to Blagrave’s style guide.
• Proactively monitor our social media channels, responding as relevant.
• Monitor social media outputs of other charitable foundations and youth organisations to inspire and inform Blagrave’s communications output.
• Strengthen Blagrave’s digital output/presence and reach by tracking analytics via monthly reporting on social media performance, making recommendations of how we can engage with audiences more effectively

• Regularly update and maintain the organisation’s website, liaising with colleagues to ensure all content is current and relevant.

Wider comms

• Liaise with colleagues in other teams to understand and support them in their comms needs, implementing internal / external comms initiatives as required.

The Miscarriage Association is a national charity dedicated to providing support and information to anyone affected by the loss of a baby in pregnancy. We also raise awareness of the impact of loss, advocate for those affected and challenge the taboos that can make miscarriage a lonely as well as distressing experience.

We do this by offering staffed support services (telephone helpline, live chat, email and DM), a network of peer support groups, a comprehensive website and a range of highly regarded patient leaflets. You will lead on developing our digital channels to drive engagement and awareness and help to build our online communities. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the charity’s website implementing brand guidelines to ensure a consistent approach to tone and content. You’ll also maximise Google Ad and SEO opportunities, working alongside a specialist agency, where necessary.
