About the role
At Breast Cancer Now, we’re seeking a Senior Press & PR Officer to join our ambitious press, PR & celebrity team for 12 months. The role is focused primarily on the charity’s Fundraising portfolio, including our corporate partnerships and high-value fundraising events, all of which raise vital funds that help the charity to deliver world-class research and provide life-changing support for anyone affected by breast cancer.
About you
As an excellent communicator, you’ll be great at building trusted and influential relationships across a range of stakeholders including colleagues, journalists, external partners and advocates and ambassadors of Breast Cancer Now. This will help you bring our work to life, working collaboratively and effectively and at pace.
With significant experience in developing and delivering impactful PR campaigns, either in-house or in an agency, you’ll tell powerful stories around our fundraising activity to achieve cut-through in the media and drive further engagement and support (including financial) from our key audiences.
Always putting the patient voice at the heart of our work, you’ll be innovative and creative in your approach to secure maximum profile for annual events and campaigns, building on previous years’ successes and bringing fresh angles to this work to maximise engagement with the media and key audiences.

The role
This role would be joining the Digital and Physical Infrastructures policy team, one of three thematic engineering policy teams alongside Climate and Sustainability and Health and Resilience. The team develops expert advice on how to develop, maintain and govern the infrastructures and technologies, providing an engineering perspective on UK policy priorities. Working across the team’s current projects on the sustainability of artificial intelligence and ageing infrastructures and building on work in autonomous systems, data sharing and the built environment – this role is about supporting the delivery of high-impact policy projects by bringing diverse experts together across disciplines and clearly communicating the evidence, insights and advice in engaging ways.

Location
Our light, spacious head office is based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James’s Park and close to the West End. About the role
As our Health Intelligence Analyst, you'll play a key role in British Heart Foundation's (BHF) Health Insights team, helping to ensure that BHF has easy access to data and uses it effectively to provide high-quality evidence and insight to a wide audience, ensuring we maintain our intelligence-led approach across all of our operations.
You'll be focused on the delivery of a core health intelligence service, ensuring the Medical team and the wider BHF have access to a wide range of high-quality health intelligence assets. This includes the management of our statistics sign-off process and a supporting role across the core team in managing, prioritising, and reactively responding to queries.
You'll also play a key part in regular reporting to support the work of the team and the directorate, as well as engaging with individual programmes of work as required.
Working arrangements
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London Office.
The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you must be prepared to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause. About you
Educated to degree level in a quantitative field (e.g. medical statistics, epidemiology, health services research, biomedical research or similar), or with equivalent experience, you'll have a strong understanding of statistical methodologies and health and care data (specific expertise in heart and circulatory health data, and knowledge management techniques is desirable).
You'll have previous experience working in an analytical role, ideally in a health-related organisation, and will have experience working with a range of data manipulation, analysis and visualisation tools (e.g. R, PowerBI, Tableau).
With confident influencing skills, you'll be able to communicate data analysis to individuals at all levels. You will also be able to collaborate with others with ease, able to make connections between data and information, strategy, systems, and ways of working.

What's this role about?

What you will do

Your role will include:

Working at Scriptoria
This role offers the opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects, gain experience in different areas and contribute to the diverse range of services that Scriptoria provides. As a small and collaborative team, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is happy to support a variety of tasks and develop further skills, as needed, in the role.

We are seeking an exceptional leader and brilliant relationship fundraiser to join the Philanthropy department, leading the Major Donor team at Alzheimer’s Society. The same team doubled their income target last year!
This is a hugely exciting time to work for the UK’s leading dementia charity. The Major Donor Team is growing fast, and we have plans to significantly increase our income to fund critical dementia support services and research. Two ground-breaking treatments have recently shown for the first time that it is possible to slow down the progression of Alzheimer’s disease.
Critical to our ambition is developing new partnerships with philanthropic supporters. We have a pipeline of new ground-breaking research & community projects in development that provide an exciting opportunity to grow funding from this audience, and a new major donor prospect pipeline and cultivation programme up and running.
In this role, you will develop and deliver the major donor growth plan, in line with the Philanthropy strategy to 2030, leading a brilliant team of major donor specialist fundraisers. You will develop new long-term, and transformational partnerships with philanthropic partners (both individuals and families) at a £500k+ and £1m+ level. You will be key to engaging them with the Society’s ambitious vision and exciting major programmes of work, spanning cutting-edge research, health inequalities, clinical trials, on-the-ground support, and participation for people living with dementia, and new life-changing dementia treatments.

Role Summary
LGBT Foundation is an impactful, vibrant charity with a wide portfolio of well-established services and rapidly developing new initiatives aimed at meeting the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans people. We are looking for a People Advisor to support in providing advice, guidance, and clarity for all colleagues on various HR and recruitment systems and processes. The People Advisor works alongside the rest of “Team People” which also comprises of Organisational Development, Volunteer Programme and Centre Operations – working to ensure that LGBT Foundation has the best working environment and processes possible for its colleagues.

Role Accountabilities
1. Support with the implementation of the People Strategy

3. Giving support and advice to all levels of the organisation with all matters regarding HR policy and procedure to ensure effective and efficient management of attendance, performance, misconduct, employee dispute resolution.

- Support the Deputy Director of People with complex and contentious cases, investigations, and appeals.

5. Oversee and support implementation of our recruitment processes and work alongside colleagues and SLT to work toward the best practice when it comes to fair and inclusive recruitment in line with the organisation’s diversity targets and employment law.

- Support in implementing up to date training on inclusive recruiting practices.
