We are seeking an experienced Development and Income Generation Manager. This crucial role is to develop and sustain programs supporting East and Southeast Asian women in the UK.
 

About Us

We are a new and inclusive organisation empowering East and Southeast Asian women and their families. ESEA women share a common culture and experience similar issues, eg. immigration, racism, trafficking, and other forms of gender-based violence and exploitation in the UK. We campaign to completely eradicate financial hardship and end violence among women and our dependents within the ESEA UK community. We provide a safe space, advocacy, health, housing, education, co-learning and other holistic support and services.

We are a non-hierarchical organisation with our trustees as key facilitators, working with our staff and volunteers to implement and deliver our projects. Main responsibilities:

• Create a successful income generation strategy across different sources including corporate, grant makers, trust and foundation, social media fundraisers, legacy and new streams of funding.

• Write and submit successful and compelling grant / funding proposals, ensuring alignment with funder requirements and organisational goals

• Build solid relationships with corporate sponsors, funders and grant makers to enable us to identify the best income generation streams  for our organisational requirements

• Engagement in the ESEA community with an in depth understanding of nuanced community issues that will ensure robust applications

• Research and identify additional potential funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships from agencies, foundations, and corporations.

• Work closely with our team to gather data and information to support applications

• Maintain and track an organised record of funding opportunities, application deadlines, and submitted proposals. Provide timely updates to the team

• Help report to funders on the benefits of their funded projects.

• Employ and train staff/ volunteers with funding applications and other aspects of funding, eg social media requests

• Share management and supervision work of staff for the different projects in the organisation.

• Participate in the organisation wide collective and collaborative approach to move the direction of the charity forward across different work of the organisation. 

Knowledge and Experience:

• Excellent grant writing and communication skills

• Proven track record of at least 5 years in successful funding applications

• Good understanding and experience of rights based campaigning on migrants and human rights issues through a woman’s lens

SLOW is the only charity offering weekly in person and online support groups to bereaved parents and siblings in London and across the UK.

Based in London, SLOW (Surviving the Loss of Your World) has offered emotional and practical support for over eighteen years to bereaved families in the UK that have lost a child in any circumstances. Our unique approach to working with parents and siblings is highly regarded by our members and professionals and we are proud to have won the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Our work is centred around regular support groups for bereaved parents, adult siblings and creative workshops for bereaved younger siblings. All our groups are facilitated by trained bereaved parents or siblings. Our members regularly refer to our groups as a ‘lifeline’. Our model of bereavement support is unique and is a direct response to what bereaved parents have told us they need.

SLOW is a registered charity with an income of currently circa £185k. The charity has a stable resource base with a range of income sources – some annual, some on multi-year commitments and other funding resulting from planned and targeted approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Under the leadership of the Charity Director, the Fundraiser will manage the day-to-day fundraising and support the Charity Director in raising funds and developing SLOW’s income to ensure financial stability. You will assist the Charity Director in achieving the annual income and suggest new revenue streams.
• Working closely with the Charity Director, you will manage, monitor and execute SLOW’s annual financial target through a variety of different revenue streams. You will be supported by SLOW’s Business Management Assistant.
• The Fundraiser is part of a small team of paid and voluntary personnel working to maintain and develop SLOW in accordance with its founding principles and ethos. From time to time the post-holder will be required to take on tasks that are the primary responsibility of another if necessary.

Execute grant applications including: ·

• Researching appropriate grants for applications
• Writing and checking of all grant applications including proposing figures and the provision of all supporting documents

• Collating and submitting feedback forms including analysis of expenditure versus grant allocations and membership

• Work closely with the BMA to set up and administrate sponsored events and other ad hoc fundraising activities

Responsibilities

• Collaborative Strategy Execution: Works closely with the UK Managing Director, incorporating programmatic priorities for developing key funding partnerships, to align and execute the trusts and foundations fundraising strategy.
• Strategic Growth & Income Diversification: Supports the development of and executes a growth strategy to increase trust and foundation income, leveraging both existing and new opportunities, including institutional fundraising and government funding where relevant.
• Prospecting & Pipeline Development: Proactively identifies, researches, and cultivates new trust and foundation prospects to expand the current portfolio and drive significant new revenue growth in alignment with fundraising targets.

Saferworld is looking for a Project Manager to lead the Women, Peace & Security (WPS) Helpdesk within the Conflict Advisory Unit (CAU). Role purpose

To diversify, develop and deliver fundraising initiatives with a focus on major donors and legacies, securing significant funding for the Trust that will enable delivery of our new 2030 strategy of more space for nature, with more people on nature’s side. 

1. Main Responsibilities

1.1 Devise and deliver annual plans, together with associated budgets, in line with strategic objectives

1.2 Monitor and report on fundraising targets and budget

1.3 Line management of the Fundraising Officer

2. Major Donors

2.1 Growing the scale of donations – both the number of donors and the value of donations by managing an impactful major donor programme for the Trust 

2.2 Use the Trust’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to manage and grow a pipeline of prospects including high value donors, major donors and potential legators 

2.3 Develop and manage a portfolio of high value donors and prospects to include working closely with appropriate colleagues on research, cultivation, ask and stewardship, including planning and delivery of inspiring events

2.4 Work with the CEO, Senior Management Team and Trustees to appropriately involve them in planning and managing relationships with major donors 

2.5 Develop a stewardship programme, developing meaningful relationships with donors and potential donors, involving them in our work and ensure they feel valued and part of the Trust.

2.6 Manage the Patrons Circle, providing a fantastic experience for WWT Patrons, including delivering engaging events and maintaining regular communication

2.7 Ensure appeal donors receive relevant stewardship communications, including holding specific events and activities

3. Legacies

3.1 Support the development of the Trust's legacy strategy, leading to an increase in number of pledges and value pledged

3.2 Identify and recruit new legacy pledgers including but not exclusively from WWT members and supporters, ensuring a legacy pipeline

3.3 Steward known legacy pledgers to maximize and retain their loyalty to WWT and to maximize their lifetime giving, including their support for current appeals.

3.4 Ensure ongoing engagement with all legators and enquirers by upgrading and conversion through the legacy cycle: enquirer, considerer, intender, pledger 

3.5 Create and run a series of events to engage potential and existing legators and legacy professionals

3.6 Liaise with departments across the Trust in relation to legacy campaigns 

3.7 Work closely with the marketing team to ensure effective communication about legacy giving with members, supporters and pledgers/legators 

3.8 Use the CRM’s legacy module to manage relationships with pledgers and legators

4. General Fundraising

4.1 Support the Trust's new Project Oversights Board, ensuring projects align with the strategy, are fully developed, and help secure appropriate funding

4.2 Input into funding bids

4.3 Support Trust fundraising appeals 

4.5 Work closely with the marketing team to update and improve third party fundraising materials, online material and guidance to enable supporters to fundraise for us independently 

4.6 Ensure that the Trust is up to date and compliant with legislation, regulators and GDPR requirements in relation to fundraising

4.7 Stay up to date with current best practice in fundraising techniques and track any upcoming trends 

4.8 Work with the Membership Services Manager and Membership Development Officer to ensure data is recorded on the CRM accurately and effectively to enable required analysis, tracking, reporting, segmentation and future targeting

5. General Responsibilities

5.1 Promote the work, mission and vision of the Trust at all times.

5.2 Work across teams to develop and implement activity plans across the 2030 strategy business plan.

5.3 Use every opportunity commensurate with other duties to contribute to the Trust’s membership recruitment, fundraising and engagement of people. 

5.4 Ensure a high level of customer service in all dealings with the public.

5.5 Ensure continuous development of skills and knowledge required for the post, undergoing training and performance review as required by the Trust.

The Head of High Value Fundraising is responsible for delivering and significantly growing income from Corporate Partnerships, Philanthropy and Trusts and Grants. Leading a team of committed fundraisers, you will develop a robust strategy that delivers mutually beneficial partnerships, outstanding supporter relationships and long-term sustainable income.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES  

Specific Duties 

Leadership

• To lead and inspire the high value team fostering a collaborative and high culture that delivers against income and objectives
• Provide clear and supportive leadership that motivates staff to achieve, develop and grow in their roles
• Undertake quarterly reviews for all direct reports

High Value Fundraising

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with high-value donors, ensuring effective solicitation, stewardship, and follow-up to secure significant contributions (six-figure gifts)
• Build and maintain a portfolio of Trust & Grants supporters. Responsible for researching, approaching and developing compelling applications with a focus on ensuring Trusts & Grants provide a long-term, diverse and sustainable income stream
• Lead the development and stewardship of the Philanthropy board to identify and secure transformational (6-7 figure) gifts and the development of the Business development Board to open opportunities with Corporate Partners
• Write and design a compelling case for support that is tailored to our High Value audiences
• Build a portfolio of corporate partners, including securing high-value, multi-year partnerships. You will work with the team to grow this income stream from prospecting, approaches, applications, pitches, stewardship and providing excellent account management
• Lead on planning and delivering successful high value cultivation events

• Represent Winston’s Wish at fundraising events and meetings with internal and external stakeholders

Strategy, Planning and reporting

• To create and implement a strategy including corporate partnerships, trusts & foundations and major donors
• Lead on developing and delivering effective stewardship journeys and cultivation plans
• Produce regular reports on fundraising activity, analysing performance against targets, and identifying areas for improvement and growth.
• Work with the Director of Income Generation and the Head of Mass Participation Fundraising to develop the annual budget, including leading on monthly performance reports and contributing to quarterly reforecasts and reporting against KPI’s and milestones
• Undertake research and make use of tools to identify potential High Value partners.

Collaboration

• Work closely with the Director of Income Generation, Head of Mass Participation Fundraising, SLT and other teams to maximise high value fundraising opportunities
• Work with the Marketing team to deliver urgent and compelling high value messages tailed for the different audiences
• Work with the Trustees to build networks and increase the reach of Winston’s Wish

• A proven track record in high-value fundraising, including securing 6-7 figure donations from high-net-worth individuals, trusts, foundations, and businesses
• Track record of converting cold prospects to planned gifts of 6-7 figures
• Demonstratable strong strategic planning skills and the ability to develop and implement long-term strategies to achieve fundraising targets and enhance the charity's mission
• Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience in overseeing multi-disciplinary teams. Essential experience includes team leadership, staff motivation, setting clear objectives, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Experience in effectively developing, managing and reporting complex income and expenditure budgets
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels and excellent written skills
• Experience of successfully engaging trustees and/or senior volunteer committees to drive philanthropic income.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

The Football Foundation are the Premier League, The FA and the Governments charity that helps communities improve their local football and sport facilities through grants.

This newly created Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be responsible for providing key insights to support strategic decision-making, ensuring financial performance aligns with business objectives, and embedding a culture of finance business partnering across the Football Foundation (the charity) and the Premier League Stadium Fund (PLSF). Additionally, the role will oversee strategic financial planning, forecasting, and analysis activities across the organisation.

The role:

• Lead and consolidate business partnering in the organisation, ensuring close collaboration with management group, department heads, and other key stakeholders to gather insights and ensure alignment on KPI’s and objectives.
• Lead the preparation and execution of the Foundation’s long-term strategic financial plans and annual budgeting processes in an effective and timely manner.
