This exciting new role is based across both our Oxford and Northampton centres and the successful candidate will be required to work fluidly across both locations.
The purpose of the role is to develop and implement a centre specific fundraising plan across two Maggie’s centres to raise income from the community through a variety of fundraising sources.
As Centre Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for effectively and autonomously managing the full portfolio of activity relating to the centres and to manage complex networks and relationships which have a wider regional and national focus including hospital teams, high-value fundraising Boards and senior volunteers.
You will be responsible for fundraising across a range of income streams including businesses, individuals, community groups, volunteers and media contacts.
Key responsibilities
Responsible for raising the income for two Maggie's centres through prospecting new business opportunities and retaining and maximising existing relationships through pro-active account management
Full oversight and responsibility for the fundraising portfolio and an understanding of priority activities to meet targets
Responsible for managing an income and expenditure budget to achieve financial targets
Ensure a robust pipeline of fundraising activity is built for the immediate, medium and long term to reach income targets
Recruit and manage a fundraising board of well-networked local people around each centre, providing exceptional, professional support to them
Identify and develop new business leads to meet target in line with Maggie’s fundraising strategy and maximising Maggie’s network of existing senior-level contacts
Prepare and deliver innovative proposals for funding to potential and existing partners
Account management of a portfolio of existing relationships and networks
Develop your centre fundraising plan in conjunction with the Head of Fundraising
Input into designing and implementing policies for income generation across two Maggie’s centres, including Maggie’s donor care policy
Promote Maggie’s products, events and campaigns to community partners and individual donors with success demonstrated by increased sign-ups, participation and financial support
Develop an ongoing programme of research and development that will identify new donors and partners and new fundraising opportunities and products
Identify potential leads from Maggie’s networks and through co-ordinated working be proactive about facilitating an approach for funding
Brief and prepare staff and volunteers at networking/engagement events
Monitor and report on fundraising targets; produce monthly reports, variance and re-forecasts
Input into the production of the annual and five-year strategic plan, including income and expenditure budgets for fundraising
Manage and support two fundraising teams; ensure there is integration with all team resources, adherence to Maggie’s policies, and implementation of training and development opportunities to recognise and retain staff
Maximise opportunities within partnerships to enhance PR and develop for mutual benefit
Oversee the effective and efficient administration process required to ensure accurate and comprehensive data capture, banking and thanking of donors and volunteers
Manage all data with strict adherence to GDPR and Maggie’s policies
Skills, knowledge and expertise
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
At least five years fundraising experience including community and corporate
Excellent IT skills and understanding of data protection and GDPR obligations
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong networker, able to establish and maintain key income-generating contacts

The Sporting Events Team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing income from individuals taking on sporting challenges and effectively managing relationships to maximise income.
We are looking for 2 Sporting Events Administrator’s, who will play a significant part in contributing to a high-performing fundraising team. You will work closely with the Sporting Event Managers (SEM) and Sporting Event Officers (SEO) to drive the continued growth of the charity’s sporting event fundraising income. You will also be required to show excellent organisation and relationship-building skills to support supporters.
Please note, when applying for the role this role will be known internally as *Sporting Events Executive.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Provide excellent customer service to Sporting Event fundraisers, to acknowledge support and increase long-term loyalty.
· Ensure fundraisers and volunteers have all necessary materials for fundraising initiatives.
· Keep up to date with fundraising legislation and codes of practice to be able to provide relevant advice to fundraisers.
· Effective management of administrative support for team, including accurate recording of sporting fundraising data in the Salesforce database.
Event and Supporter Management
· Support the team in managing the sporting events as agreed with the Sporting Events Manager (SEM). Including recruitment of sporting places, recruitment of volunteers, communications plans, event marketing and event attendance.
· Working alongside the SEM and the SEO to manage the stewardship of all supporters.
· Build and manage relationships with prospective and current sporting fundraising supporters through prompt, helpful, professional and friendly contact.
· Taking the opportunity to maximise income and long-term support with every fundraising supporter, suggesting ARUK fundraising products where appropriate.
· Schedule and deliver stewardship good luck calls for all portfolio sporting eventers.
· Drafting prompt, professional thank you letters and certificates to fundraising supporters.
· Fundraising data management includes adding new constituents to the fundraising database (Salesforce), ensuring details are accurately recorded and maintained and that supporters are appropriately thanked.
· Managing emails sent to sporting events inbox.
Events Support
· Support in the effective delivery of sporting fundraising events for ARUK.
· May include relationship management with suppliers and logistics companies.
· Attendance of weekend events where necessary.
Other duties
· Contribute to the charity’s social media channels and web content.
· Keep up to date with dementia news and research developments to communicate to supporters.
· Effectively communicate ARUK’s legacy messages to supporters, delivering these messages face-to-face, via telephone and in writing, where relevant.
· Occasional liaising with Marketing team to communicate good fundraising stories for ARUK’s Newsletter and other materials.
· Stay up to date with ARUK’s new fundraising products and research/other news to be able to communicate effectively with supporters, relaying the charity’s key messages.

The Supporter-led Fundraising (SLF) team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing income from individuals, groups and corporates, as well as driving registrations and income through third party and mass participation events; managing these relationships to maximise income.
As the Senior Central Fundraising Officer, you will manage the Central Fundraising Team (CFT) to support the work of both the Regional and Sporting Events teams to deliver our strategy and meet our annual income target. You will manage the CFT to ensure first-class stewardship of supporters in-house, and you will work to improve current processes and work closely with the Online Fundraising Team to identify and maximise new fundraising trends.
You will work closely with the Data and Supporter Care teams and other key stakeholders within ARUK to ensure SLF processes and procedures are fit for purpose and our supporters are delighted with the management and stewardship they receive across CFT and wider teams. Alzheimer’s Research UK’s vision is to ensure lifetime value and repeat fundraising from our supporters with the Senior Central Fundraising Officer taking a critical role in overseeing and achieving this goal.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Line Management
· Line management of the Central Fundraising Officer (CFO) and Executives (CFEs); driving the success of the CFT to ensure a highly motivated team which achieves their targets.
· Oversee workload distribution among the CFT, including income coding, reporting, volunteer tin coordinators management and other central fundraising support.
· Support CFO and CFEs to hit non-financial targets.
· Provide full CRM support and training to the CFT and act as SLF’s in-house CRM lead.
· Ensure CFO and CFEs are fully trained and competent representatives of ARUK.
Stewardship Project Management
· Ensure the CFT provides first-class stewardship for DIY fundraisers and regional corporates within agreed remit.
· Inspire and train the CFT to nurture active fundraisers and build relationships to increase long-term loyalty.
· Provide the CFT and regionally based teams with the tools and processes they need for an effective working relationship.
· Understand and analyse how each team in SLF stewards’ supporters to ensure cohesion, sharing best practice across the wider team at all times.
· Working with the Community Fundraising Mangers and Marketing Campaigns Officer, create fresh and exciting communications to engage existing and new supporters.
· Support Regional Fundraising Officers with medium scale regional fundraising projects alongside CFT.
· Apply learnings and process updates in response to internal reviews and mystery shop results.
· Create best practices for supporter re-engagement to nurture repeat fundraising from fundraisers for ARUK.
· Communicate team processes, progress and successes to wider department.
Monitoring & Reporting
· Build a good relationship to work closely with the Data team to establish new or improved data processes that reflect the needs of the Supporter-led Fundraising team.
· Oversee supporter database use for the whole of SLF and constantly seek improvements and collaboration opportunities.
· Create and review process documents to keep them up to date and maintain centralized process documentation.
· Build and maintain regular reports on database to perform data quality check of activity and income.
· Oversee the use of third-party fundraising platforms and maintain up-to-date documentation.
· Support the Data Team in embedding the new CRM.
· Keep up to date with fundraising legislation and codes of practice to provide relevant advice to SLF staff and fundraisers.
· Pull regular reports on the CFEs’ CRM usage and offer coaching tips to individuals to improve data accuracy.
· Develop a good understanding of internal systems and external platforms and how they integrate, in order to support in unpicking any issues and communicating their impact.

About the Role
JPF aims to amplify the voices of young people across London and Essex, and we are committed to harnessing their ideas, knowledge and life experiences to influence the way we work as a grant-maker.
As a charitable organisation, founded to support young people, it is essential that young people are part of our work and decision-making; from Board level through to our programme delivery. We aim to provide young people with the resources and opportunities to empower them to do great things, and this role is central to enabling us to do this.
The Youth Voice and Engagement Intern role is a new post that will help us grow our youth voice and youth engagement work within the Foundation in line with our new strategic priorities. This role sits in the Executive Team, and will work closely with the Executive Assistant, as well as colleagues within our Communications and Operations teams. There will be regular opportunities to work collaboratively on projects with other departments and stakeholders.
This is a twelve-month paid internship to begin during March 2025. The successful candidate must be able to take up the post by Monday 25th March 2025, preferably earlier.
About the Internship
You will be part of the Jack Petchey Internship Programme along with 20 other interns, all of whom are employed by a range of youth organisations in London and Essex. Alongside your main work duties there will be a number of development opportunities. These include a residential conference to launch the internship programme; four professional development workshops throughout the year; and a celebration event at the end of the programme.
In addition to your paid salary, you will receive a training bursary of £1,000. This bursary can be used for approved training. We will also match you with an external mentor who will support you with your professional development throughout the year.
Training days and events take place in person in London. As well as carrying out the main duties of the job (as outlined in this booklet) the successful candidate will be required to take part in all training opportunities offered as part of this programme.

About Your Responsibilities
The Youth Voice and Engagement Intern will be responsible for supporting our three major youth engagement programmes, as well as a number of other youth voice initiatives across the Foundation.
1 Youth Consultation Panel
The Youth Consultation Panel (YCP) was formed in 2019, and currently consists of twelve young people, all of whom have directly benefited from one or more of our programmes. This group of passionate young people meet once a month to share their opinions and inform the work of our Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees. The postholder will:
• Be responsible for the general administration of the YCP, through preparing agendas and minutes for monthly meetings and quarterly in-person days, fielding general enquiries from YCP members, processing travel expenses, coordinating event attendance and tracking the group’s volunteering hours.
• Support the YCP to develop into a ‘shadow board’, which will include facilitating their participation in partnership grant making and management, as well as their link to our Board of Trustees.
• Identify opportunities for the YCP to support with ad hoc pieces of work across the organisation, and administrate these projects as required.
• Assist with the recruitment and induction processes for new YCP members and JPF’s Youth Trustee.
• Support the Communications team to design and disseminate an annual YCP survey.
2 Jack Petchey Achiever Network
The Achiever Network (AN) is a 12-month personal development programme that we run for up to 35 young people each year. Participants are invited to apply for a year-long training course, which includes a weekend residential, training days and mentoring. The postholder will:
• Assist the Operations Officer with the general administration of the AN programme, including preparation for training days and attendance at these if required.
• Coordinate AN volunteers for both internal and external events, including circulating parental permission forms and briefing sheets etc.
• Oversee the administration of 50/50 grants (an opportunity for AN graduates to invest in a meaningful cause), by supporting young people with their applications, collating details for Board approval and preparing the corresponding grant offer letters.
• Assist with end-of-programme preparations such as the AN graduation ceremony and yearbook.
• Help to design and implement the recruitment process for young participants on the next Achiever Network cohort.
• Support with the evaluation of the Achiever Network programme.
3 Alumni Network
The Alumni Network is a community for those who’ve graduated from our Achiever Network or Internship Programme. It is a way for graduates to remain connected to the Foundation, and for them to give back to other young people as they take their next steps. Launched in September 2024, the network is in its early stages of development. The postholder will:
• Be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the JPF Alumni Network, including: coordinating 2 annual networking events, training opportunities and peer-to-peer mentoring for the cohorts, draft and send letters about opportunities.
• Support the growth of the JPF Alumni Network by identifying and recruiting new members.
• Moderate the JPF Alumni Network online portal, by ensuring that the webpages and resources are up to date and creating new content as required.
• Coordinate and provide written copy for the JPF Alumni Network newsletter, and source case studies, articles and opportunities via our partner organisations.
• Oversee the JPF Alumni Network database on Salesforce, including handling sign-ups, contact details, permissions and any necessary data cleansing.
• Act as the main point of contact for enquiries, communications and requests from all JPF Alumni. Alumni Network Other Responsibilities The postholder will have the opportunity to work on a number of other youth voice initiatives across each of the teams at JPF:
4 Other Responsibilites
• Support the Communications team with the following:
Designing our next youth survey and disseminating it to schools and youth organisations.
Amplifying youth voice by facilitating meetings between young people and key external decision-makers (MPs, mayors, councillors etc.).
Developing an engagement strategy for JPF’s network of patrons, ambassadors and influencers.
Engaging young people through our creative competitions (cartoon competitions etc.).
Monitoring and sharing relevant sector news and developments with the JPF team that affect young people.
• Help the Grants team with research to identify youth organisations, community groups and charities based in London and Essex who support young people that are currently underrepresented in our Achievement Awards programme.
• Assist the Partnerships team in conducting their 6-month post-internship survey, and researching and contacting former participants in the Jack Petchey Internship Programme.
• Work with the Events team to increase the number of young performers at our Achievement Award events.
• Support the Operations team with all activities involving young people on-site at Dockmaster’s House (or elsewhere), supporting with health & safety briefings and risk assessments as required. As the post sits within the Executive team, general administrative support to the Executive Assistant and Chief Executive Officer may also be required.
These are the normal duties which the charity requires from the position. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and all employees will be required from time to time to perform other duties as may be required by JPF.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to take on a maternity cover to lead the fundraising team for the University’s museum of art and archaeology, the Ashmolean Museum. Role description
The Research Programme Manager (RPM) is a key member of the HACT Services Team, with responsibility for successfully managing the delivery of research and consultancy projects across HACT’s Services portfolio. HACT’s Services portfolio has four key workstream, including: social value, health, data and housing and communities.
The RPM role involves the design and development of research and consultancy projects; set up and ongoing management of these projects; and effective engagement with HACT colleagues and Associates, partners and other stakeholders to ensure that work is delivered to a high standard of quality. The ideal candidate will bring strong programme management skills, interest in HACT’s areas of work, and a proven track record of managing research and consultancy projects throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading on the design, set up, management and delivery of multiple research and consultancy projects across the HACT Services portfolio.
• Implementing robust project management processes and protocols, in line with best practice. This will involve routinely reviewing risks, issues and progress and taking actions as necessary to ensure minimum impact on project deadlines.
• Developing and implementing appropriate research methodologies, evaluation
strategies and research tools and analysis into research and consultancy projects.
• Leading on the production of high-quality research and consultancy project outputs, including formal outputs, informal progress updates to customers/partners etc, with input from the Head of Services and other colleagues as relevant.
• Providing support to project teams, including Associates, to ensure work is delivered to time and quality expectations, and within budget. This will involve coordinating and managing resources and information flows and ensuring quality assurance process take place on project outputs.

Main responsibilities
Embedding PPIE in our work
- Lead on the delivery of the PPIE strategy for the BHF Data Science Centre, with oversight from the Operations Director, incorporating regular (e.g. annual) reviews and updates of the strategy.
- Lead and facilitate meetings with public contributors to integrate meaningful PPIE throughout all aspects of our work.
- Undertake and manage specific involvement and engagement activities, including but not limited to focus groups, engagement events, developing and undertaking surveys, supporting the writing of plain English summaries of projects and their outputs. In collaboration with senior colleagues, support involvement of patients and the public in the governance of our work.

- Develop methods to expand reach and ensure diversity of perspectives and work with the HDR UK PPIE team to grow involvement of currently underrepresented and underserved groups in health data science.

- Horizon scan and liaise with colleagues across the BHF Data Science Centre and HDR UK for opportunities to increase visibility of the institute’s engagement and involvement impact, i.e. through conferences, festivals, journals and other publications.
Developing PPIE best practice and collaborative working
- Incorporate best practice in our work, learning from examples of successful patient and public engagement that could influence our work
- Provide briefings for colleagues to share best practice and examples of successful patient and public engagement
- Collaborate with PPIE colleagues to coordinate public outreach initiatives and other events, ensuring that stakeholders are afforded opportunities to contribute their input and provide feedback. Establish effective working relationships and ‘ways of working’ with strategic partners to maximise opportunities for collaboration in patient and public involvement and engagement.
- Act as an internal and external ambassador for public, patient and practitioner engagement and involvement.
- Monitor and report on performance of PPIE across the Centre, make effective use of digital approaches to maximize the ability to collaborate, communicate and continuously learn.
Supporting PPIE members
- Be the point-of-contact for all BHF Data Science Centre public contributors, ensuring they are kept updated, receive all information in a timely manner and that any issues are dealt with in a sensitive manner.
- Lead on the recruitment of new public contributors as required. Adapt, develop and provide training for public contributors where necessary identifying training requirements as needed.
- Working with BHF Data Science Centre colleagues, maintain patient and public contact lists in Hubspot (CRM).
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Experience
- Experience of working with patients, carers and members of the public with diverse interests.
- Experience of running patient/public involvement activities and evaluating these activities, strategies and methodologies, preferably in a research environment
- Experience of promoting the need and value of engagement and involvement to a wide range of stakeholders and acting as an advocate
- Experience of writing / developing content for public and research audiences and delivering presentations
- Experience of demonstrating an understanding of health research and the needs of patients and the public
- Planning and organisational expertise with a proven track record of delivering challenging projects with multiple partners to deadlines
- Experience of organising and facilitating a range of events and meetings including: event preparation, chairing of meetings, delivering presentations, use of tools to gather views and feedback, follow-up communications and evaluation
- An understanding of the public sensitivities of using health data for research
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
