What we are looking for:

An experienced Utilities Administrator to lead and be responsible for the management and administration of the utilities in Nacro Housing’s residential properties including gas and electricity, water and council tax accounts along with managing other accounts.

This will include problem solving, devising and implementing solutions through the postholder developing new processes and good practice to improve efficiency and reduce expenditure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Trouble shooting on problems in relation to utilities management, especially gas and electricity supplies, changing ineffective ways of working to deliver effective and sustainable processes.  
• Establish and lead on regular meetings and develop an effective working relationship with Nacro’s contracted energy management company to hold it accountable and to maximise benefits to Nacro in relation to gas and electricity supplies.
• Provide progress reports for the Head of Housing on utilities management issues as required.
• Ensuring an accurate list of properties is maintained and updated, reconciling existing property databases, ensure changes are appropriately communicated.
• Liaison with energy companies to manage and administer, meter changes/replacements
• Ensuring gas and electricity meter readings are collected by local operational teams, then collated and passed to energy companies.
• Directing and liaison with energy companies on queries and issues relating to energy accounts and meters.

Job Purpose
With 10 years to achieve Agenda 2030, the SDG 6 targets on clean water, decent sanitation and good hygiene are among the furthest behind. Achieving universal, sustainable WASH will require a major mobilisation of resources, public demand and political will. Reporting to the Global Campaigns Director, this pivotal role works across the WaterAid federation to achieve the political and policy changes needed to ensure universal access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.

The Global Head of Campaigns will lead WaterAid's campaigning on one of our two global advocacy priorities (currently climate). They will drive our strategic direction and, create the campaigns plan to embed WASH in the climate change agenda, building up political momentum, broadening out our campaign alliances and influential champions. The post-holder will be a champion for campaigning within the organisation, ensuring we achieve a greater impact than the sum of our parts through effective and strategic campaigning across countries, regions and international levels to deliver WaterAid's mission of WASH for Everyone Everywhere by 2030.

Team Description
The Campaigns Team plays a leadership role across the WaterAid Federation to drive the design and delivery of WaterAid's major advocacy and campaigns efforts to achieve SDG 6. We deliver an ambitious agenda, grounded in national level change and impact, using a variety of campaigning tactics, including advocacy, lobbying and working with influential people and organisations

Accountabilities

Key accountabilities will remain flexible. Work plans, and targets may change significantly according to political and advocacy priorities. Overall, this role will;

Campaigns leadership

• Campaigning leadership of one of the two WaterAid global advocacy priorities (currently climate) in a way that delivers impact.
• Alongside our International Affairs team, lead WaterAid's international influencing strategy, working with other teams to drive our engagement in key global political processes that will drive forward our advocacy agenda, with a clear vision of what success looks like and how it contributes to the theory of change
• Build and lead public engagement and campaigning strategy to drive awareness and action on our global advocacy priority.
• Lead the transition from policy to public campaigning, working with communications colleagues to turn policy into public messaging and events.

Campaigns operations

• Project Manage the delivery of the global advocacy priority, leading the execution plan, holding team members to account, chairing meetings and managing the budget.
• Provide operational leadership on cross-federation and cross-department collaboration on the global advocacy priority, to ensure the organisation has the buy-in and collaborates effectively for maximum impact.
• Work with WaterAid members, media and communications team, regional teams and country programmes on strategically important campaign moments to ensure strong strategic value and high-quality delivery
• Working with the fundraising teams to identify a pipeline of funding opportunities, collaborate in the development of fundraising proposals as opportunities emerge.
• Budget management responsibilities for the team
• Be an active participant in the Advocacy Steering Group (co-chair), the federation-wide group that has oversight of the roll out of both the global advocacy priorities, and raise up major issues to the Global Campaigns Director

Team management

• Line manage a Senior Campaigner that drives forward WaterAid campaign priorities and matrix manage a Campaigns Officer on specific projects (and external consultants as needed)
• Play an active role in facilitating strong team communication and coordination across policy, international affairs and campaigns teams within the department for effective delivery of the global advocacy priority.
• Deputies for the Global Campaigns Director when appropriate and undertake any other responsibilities commensurate with the role.

The Wellbeing and Emotional Support Team (WEST) is a service commissioned by Brent Council focusing on improving the wellbeing of children and young people aged 0 to 18 years (or up to 25 years with a Special Educational Need or Disability) in identified vulnerable groups including children and young people with learning disabilities, at risk of exclusion, looked after children and those who are at risk of multiple vulnerabilities such as child sexual exploitation, gang affiliation and domestic violence. The service offers brief evidence-based individual and group interventions for children with mild to moderate needs and their families.

We are currently recruiting a Wellbeing Practitioner to join a highly respected team. The role will be suited to those individuals with skills and experience of working directly in schools/community and with hard-to-engage populations who may have withdrawn from education and their local community.

Location

This post is based in the UK with a requirement to travel to meetings in Bath, London and elsewhere on average once a week. Occasional visits to Durrell’s headquarters in Jersey will be required and some travel to overseas field sites may be required.

This role is an integral part of the Field Programmes team, working with other programme staff in the UK and overseas, and the Fundraising Department to identify and secure funding from institutional donors, including governments, bi-lateral agencies and large foundations and trusts, to deliver Durrell’s global conservation work. Working with field programmes on the design and development of funding proposals is a key part of this role.

Durrell’s field programmes are located globally, including in Madagascar, India, Mauritius, the Caribbean, Galapagos and the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible, alongside colleagues, for developing and managing a portfolio, cultivating relationships with donors, and managing grant applications and reporting.

Part 1: Role Purpose:

Street Child is looking for a dynamic, confident individual with a passion for communications and a drive to make a difference.

We need a Global Communications Officer who is adaptable, personable, has an attention to detail and is ready to tackle any task with gusto. We are looking for someone who can drive forward our owned channel development, grow our website traffic and social media channels whilst maintaining strong platform engagement rates to generate fundraising.

Our ideal candidate will also create fresh campaigns with market cut through, develop clear, creative collateral, support our growing global advocacy efforts and identify opportunities for telling stories from Street Child’s programmes around the world. An eye for design and some basic editing skills is a bonus. 

Part 2: Key Responsibilities:

1. Social channel content creation, maintenance and development

• Lead on the development and maintenance of the Street Child social channels, pushing forward our social strategy with a relentless focus on growth and engagement. Develop, create, and manage engaging content for our social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok), including identifying strategies for viral and timely content.
• Craft compelling copy and visuals that align with our brand voice and promote Street Child programmes around the world.
• Identify and leverage emerging trends and opportunities for Street Child’s social media presence.

2. Day-to-day website content updates & maintenance

• Lead on the day-to-day content updates and maintenance of the Street Child website, working to a turnaround time of 48 hours for business-as-usual activity.
• Work with external web developers to ensure Street Child’s website is optimised for raising awareness of our work, engaging supporters and raising funds.
• Develop high-quality written and visual content optimised for web, including managing our blog to ensure a steady output of content on Street Child programme areas, including primary education work, education in emergencies, and humanitarian programmes.

3. Communications resource for global fundraising teams

• Support the strategic development and communications needs of European and North American entities, ensuring a strong cohesive global voice for Street Child.
• Support global fundraising teams on all communication resource needs, including but not limited to event publicity/promotion, key appeal content and community resource generation.
• Support the creation of content/collateral for fundraising teams.
• Support the development of corporate communications, including but not limited to the design of impact reports, event promotion and publicity.

You will help take ANT to our next level of impact by leveraging volunteers to deliver tree planting and tree care activities across our woodland sites. Your role will support volunteer activities across Avon Needs Trees, but with a focus on our two largest sites: Great Avon Wood and Lower Chew Forest.

You will join a fast-growing organisation that started in 2019 with four volunteers and has grown to a staff team of nineteen (with more recruitment in the pipeline for 2024), over 1,000 volunteers and ownership of nearly 600 acres of land that will grow woodlands of over 160,000 trees.

Main responsibilities

• Lead on the coordination of our volunteer leaders and volunteers to ensure we can deliver our volunteer tree planting, tree care days, and other activities, for example outreach volunteering or fundraising volunteering. Volunteer coordination includes:

Responsibilities 

The Youth Development Lead is accountable for: 

• Providing ongoing operational, administrative and mentoring support to ensure the smooth and effective running of our youth engagement, including:

  • Organising and facilitating regular group meetings.

  • Managing appropriate digital communication channels. 

  • Ensuring forums for engagement are engaging, fun, and tap into youth motivation. 

  • Planning and executing team and community building activities.

  • Developing progression and personal development opportunities for youth board members, as individuals and as a collective. 

  • Creating effective communication and collaboration channels with peers.

• Ensuring that the highest level of safeguarding is upheld in all interactions with the Youth Board and Ambassadors, including the securing of consent forms, training of the young people for social media and media appearances, as well as liaising with partners, schools and parents/guardians.

• Taking steps, alongside the Head of Youth Activist Development to enable every young person to act as key representative of Bite Back, ensuring their needs, ideas, and strategic thinking is fed into wider organisational plans. 

• Supporting the design and delivery of training to empower 90 youth activists to aid us in activating our campaigns activities in a multitude of settings including media, policy, social media and public affairs. 

• Working effectively alongside the Head of Youth Activist Development and our colleagues in Communications and Brand on the recruitment and onboarding of the Youth Board Members. 

• Leading regular evaluations of the Youth Board programme, securing feedback from the youth activists on their experiences, and providing recommendations to shape strategy and approach in the future. 

The Youth Development Lead works closely with the Head of Youth Activist Development to ensure that we can provide a consistent and uplifting pathway for our youth activists. 

Skills and Experience 

The ideal candidate would have the following: 

Essential

• Experience working in youth engagement programmes in the UK. 

• Experience in designing and leading programmes and governance structures to empower young people. 

• Great project management, administration and operations experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines to high quality.

In the last few years Mind's Corporate Partnership team has seen significant growth, delivering £7m+ income in FY22/23. Mind has strategic, Charity of the Year and commercial partnerships with companies across a range of sectors.

This is a vital role designed to support the team's delivery of partnerships and assist with growing partnerships. A focus for the team is to prioritise opportunities with the strongest alignment to Mind's strategic goals and where there is the greatest potential for longer-term strategic and transformational partnerships.

Key duties and responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer, you will be responsible for; providing administrative and fundraising support, developing and stewarding relationships, alongside managing and nurturing a portfolio of partners with support from the SCPO/Managers in the team.

The post holder will:

-Provide administrative and fundraising support to enable the delivery of corporate partnerships.

-With the Corporate Partnerships Officers, be responsible for administrative duties for the team including sending thank you letters to donors, replying to enquiries to the corporate unit email account, monitoring stock levels and ordering fundraising materials.

-Assist the Corporate unit in servicing materials requests from large corporate partners.

-Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, aiming to nurture and cultivate the relationship with a donor-focused approach to ensure income targets are achieved.

-Working with the Supporter Care team, ensure that all donations are quickly and correctly processed and acknowledged and that reports are available in the appropriate format.

-Organise and co-ordinate mailings such as newsletters and appeals for corporate partners.

-Help maintain accurate, up to date records of all corporate contacts on the database (Microsoft Dynamics), and to ensure that this information adheres to data protection guidelines.

-Update and upload information onto the Mind website.

-Liaise with other Mind departments, Mind Retail, Mind Cymru and local Minds as appropriate with regards to corporate fundraising and volunteering.

-Assist with the organisation of events connected with the Partnerships fundraising team, and with practical tasks for other departmental events, as required.

-Contribute effectively as part of the Partnerships team, as well as the Fundraising department as a whole.

The Open Wing Alliance (OWA), a program of The Humane League, is a global coalition of approximately 100 animal protection organisations across 75 countries united in a common goal: to end the abuse of chickens worldwide. For the past several years, we have focused our efforts on eliminating battery cages by securing cage-free policies from major retailers, restaurants, and manufacturers. OWA groups share tactics and resources to secure as many wins for animals as possible, specialising in institutional campaigning that can be tailored to our members’ unique circumstances and challenges.

The Humane League is seeking a tenacious, determined, and well-organised individual with the drive to create progressive change for millions of farmed animals. The Temporary OWA Europe Regional Lead (Maternity Cover) is responsible for carrying out all aspects of our coalition’s work in Europe. This includes strengthening the OWA’s presence in Europe, developing and maintaining positive and collaborative relationships with OWA and partner organisations, empowering groups to coordinate regional campaigns, overseeing grants made in the region, and supporting groups in advancing institutional campaign work in their countries. Many Europe-based OWA groups are focused on the European Chicken Commitment (ECC) and broiler chicken welfare, although some remain focused on securing cage-free commitments.

As Temporary OWA Europe Regional Lead, you will be part of the OWA Member Support team, a small, high-impact team that specialises in coalition and capacity building. The team fits within the Global Programs department at The Humane League. The department has a strong understanding of corporate outreach and campaigning for improved corporate policies by multinational food businesses, and we leverage that knowledge to strengthen the global animal protection movement through the OWA. The Temporary OWA Europe Regional Lead role reports to the Director of the Open Wing Alliance.

This is a temporary, full-time, remote position requiring international travel, equivalent to approximately 3-4 week-long trips per year. This is a fixed term contract to cover Maternity Leave for up to 15 months. Employment is expected to begin on approximately October 7, 2024 and end on approximately December 31, 2025.  The duration of employment may be extended or shortened at The Humane League’s discretion. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Strategy

• Lead, manage, and develop all OWA membership activity across Europe.

• Work closely with OWA members to coordinate on corporate outreach and campaign targets and actions.

• Develop the internal OWA strategy, informed by research, current events, and collaboration with other organisations. Research and stay abreast of developments in corporate relations strategy.

• Observe and work with other organisations to learn new approaches, and share or coordinate strategies with Europe-based OWA groups.

• Contribute to the OWA Europe grants program, including supporting and monitoring the efficacy of grantees.

Communication

• Oversee communication with Europe-based OWA member groups. 

• Streamline communication between OWA groups in Europe by coordinating meetings and webinars and managing communication channels, such as Slack.

• Collaborate with team members in the Global Programs department on campaign targets and actions, and ensure key messages are relayed to OWA groups in Europe.

Member Relations and Support

• Support the development of goals and content for the annual OWA Europe Regional Summit in March 2025, and assist the OWA Training & Events Specialist with some logistics of the event.

• Ensure that OWA member groups in Europe have the support and resources they need.

• Lead the onboarding of new OWA member groups in Europe, developing and implementing personalised support plans and training for grantees.

• Attend check-ins as needed with the Director of the Open Wing Alliance, OWA Grant Lead, and Europe-based OWA members to encourage accountability.

Other 

• Attend conferences, events, and protests as required.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of the Open Wing Alliance.

Able to communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of stakeholders across various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Comfortable with public speaking and able to represent The Humane League and the Open Wing Alliance in a positive and diplomatic manner at conferences and events.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this role is £37,454 - £45,777 GPB. At The Humane League, we believe in maintaining a fair and equitable work environment for all employees.
