About the role
Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and Communications, Head of Fundraising, and Head of Programme Services, as well as external digital marketing agencies and outsourced communications partners, this is an exciting and rewarding role for someone who is looking to work strategically across multiple communications as part of a growing organisation.
Key responsibilities within the role will include:
- Create and deliver communications plans and campaign briefs.
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver and maximise media opportunities and campaigns that help raise awareness of the organisation's cause and services
- Management of data within Salesforce database, ensuring data collection via the website and other platforms is compliant with GDPR and any related or superseding legislation
- Evaluate the success of campaigns, setting and tracking key metrics, feeding learnings back into future work in a cycle of continuous improvement
- Prepare and deliver regular, meaningful reporting on communications, to assist and drive strategic communications and marketing decision making
- Oversee content creation for social media and online platforms, marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency and appropriate audience targeting
- Collaborate with both fundraising and service delivery partners to identify and coordinate co-campaigning opportunities
- Creation of regular e-communications to targeted audiences assisting in the increase in supporter and beneficiary reach
- Management of twice-yearly videography and photography shoots, ensuring compliance and management of image library
- Work closely with service delivery colleagues, PR Executive and Lead Volunteers to unearth compelling content that will connect with key audiences
- To support the PR Executive in the identification and creation of opportunities for coverage of our charity's mission and with reactive media queries
- Develop and deliver a patron and ambassador strategy
- Monitor and control spending against delegated budget

BACKGROUND
Habitat for Humanity Great Britain (Habitat GB) is part of the international Habitat for Humanity network. We address housing poverty worldwide by partnering with communities and families to help them achieve their dreams of safe, decent housing.
Purpose of The role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Community Outreach Coordinator to join our growing, dynamic team. This role will support the development of a community hub attached to our charity retail “ReStore” in Romford—the first of its kind in the UK. Globally, over 1,000 ReStores operate with the mission of upcycling unwanted home materials to support low-income households and promote a circular economy.
Beyond being a retail space, our ReStore aims to become a community hub offering additional targeted activities and services to those most vulnerable to housing insecurity. Our pilot programme will focus on supporting women recovering from domestic abuse or trafficking. These women will access free essential goods from the store, and benefit from workshops and courses such as upholstery, upcycling, art therapy, employability, confidence-building, and practical life skills.
Main Responsibilities
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to design and maintain all community outreach activities. The Community Outreach Coordinator will represent Habitat GB, working with the leadership team to develop and implement initiatives that increase the community hub’s visibility and impact.
This position will:
· Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with collaborative partners in the housing support sector.
· Budget Preparation: Assist in preparing an annual budget for community outreach activities.
· Volunteer Management: Recruit, screen, and train volunteers.

Person Specification
You will play a key role in developing and implementing community hub services and outreach efforts. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to meet the needs of the people we support. This role is ideal for someone with a background in community outreach or social care, though we welcome applicants with relevant transferable experience and skills.

Role responsibilities
- Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
- Match students with volunteer tutors
- Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance

We are looking for a well-organised, highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a full-time Youth Worker (Youth Voice), supporting our mission to enable young people who are homeless, facing homelessness or unsafe to achieve independence and positive futures.
The successful candidate will work within the Youth Work Team to deliver our frontline drop-in service and support our weekly and monthly activities to all young people experiencing homelessness.
You’ll specialise in ensuring a diverse range of young people’s voices are heard, facilitating inclusive activities which increase youth participation across all our services and leading on the delivery of our youth forums. We have an ambitious plan to improve and accelerate our youth voice strategy and this role will be at the heart of this delivery.
You should be experienced in designing, planning and facilitating a range of activities and group work with and for young people and be able to work dynamically in a fast-paced day centre environment. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about youth engagement and skilled in bringing out the ideas, voices and opinions of young people to shape service delivery. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a background in running participatory youth projects, co-production, youth engagement sessions and/or community engagement.
