Responsibilities
The main purpose of the role involves:

• Building and managing relationships with existing and prospective corporate partners.
• Identifying and securing new partnership opportunities, particularly within FTSE 250 organisations.
• Developing tailored partnership proposals, sponsorship packages and presentations.
• Managing the full partnership lifecycle, from prospecting, maximise partner engagement and retention.
• Working collaboratively with programme, finance and leadership teams to deliver successful partnerships.
• Monitoring partnership performance, impact and income against agreed targets.
• Representing Urban Synergy at networking events, meetings and corporate engagements.
• Maintaining accurate partnership records using CRM systems and producing regular reports.

Skills & Experience
Required Skills

• Proven experience in partnership development, business development or corporate fundraising.
• Excellent relationship management, networking and negotiation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including proposal writing and presentations.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated with a track record of achieving income or partnership targets.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

As demand for our services continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Trust and Foundations Fundraising Officer to help secure the funding needed to sustain and develop our vital work.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced grant fundraiser to play a pivotal role in the future sustainability of Harrogate Homeless Project.

Working closely with the Fundraising and Marketing Manager and colleagues across the organisation, you will lead on identifying, researching and securing funding from trusts and foundations, with a particular focus on capital funding opportunities. You will also help strengthen our impact measurement and evidence-gathering processes, ensuring we can effectively demonstrate the difference our services make and maximise future funding success.

Context and Background

At the NSPCC, we believe every childhood is worth fighting for. With over 100 years of experience, and the collective strength of our staff, volunteers, supporters, and partners, we're working to end child abuse and neglect for good.

Over 90 percent of the NSPCC's income comes from voluntary donations, so we reply on the incredible generosity and commitment of all our supporters, large and small.

You'll work as part of one of many teams, which focus on engaging our supporters and ensuring they continue to give their support. You will do this by supporting on high value fundraising events and activities .

The varied role sits within the Volunteer Board Fundraising team which leads income generation through regional and national volunteer boards, volunteer-led fundraising initiatives and delivery of special events through our high value event committees.

These activities play a vital role in maximising sustainable income, engaging senior volunteers, and supporting long -term supporter relationships.

Job purpose

• To contribute towards achieving the team’s objectives by providing event logistics, finance and admin support to the team.

• To support the team in delivering the agreed departmental strategy, goals and fundraising budget.

• To work effectively with other departments in fundraising and other functions within the NSPCC to maximise income for children.Key relationships - Internal

• A member of the Special Events team, reporting to a Team Manager

• Works closely with other colleagues in the team, the Partnerships Department and the wider Income Generation Department to develop and progress key relationships and events

• Proactively engages with staff in other NSPCC Directorates

Key relationships - External

• Provides professional customer service to NSPCC supporters and potential supporters, such as event committee members

• Builds relationships with NSPCC supporters and external contacts

• Builds relationships, negotiates and liaises with NSPCC event suppliers.

Main duties and responsibilities

• To support Senior E vent Managers with the development and delivery of their events, by attending committee meetings, carrying out tasks such as securing prizes, recruiting volunteers, managing small suppliers and completing admin tasks to agreed standards and deadlines.

• To support the Senior E vent Managers by building effective relationships with senior volunteers by attending committee meetings, typing up meeting minutes

• To carry out research for the development of events, such as researching new venues and prize partners.

• To draft and produce written correspondence such as letters, impact reports and other documents as required, using word processing, databases and spreadsheets to required standards.

• To undertake and lead specific fundraising projects as required to support the department’s fundraising.

• To organise and co -ordinate logistics for internal and external meetings on behalf of the team.

• To maintain an efficient record keeping system for the team, including current and archived files, using appropriate manual and electronic systems such as Raisers Edge.

• To provide financial administrative assistance to budget holders, including processing invoices, placing orders, undertaking financial analysis, cash handling and banking in line with NSPCC policies and procedures.

• To undertake the sourcing and compilation of mailing lists as well as the selection and processing of mailings in an effective, efficient and timely way.

Person specification

1. Experience of successfully working in a customer focussed environment and confidently liaising both across teams internally and with senior contacts externally to support departmental activities.

2. To deliver a high standard of relationship management to Senior Volunteers by thoroughly preparing and following up from meetings, accurately recording income and keeping accurate records of supporter and event activity.

3. Experience of building effective relationships through face to face interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

4. Well developed written and verbal communication skills to deliver fundraising pitches, ideas and event updates to a range of audiences in a clear, inspiring and confident way.

5. Ability to organise and plan own work, juggle competing demands, manage projects and establish clear timelines and priorities in order to meet agreed objectives.

6. Ability to work collaboratively; demonstrating an understanding of other team member’s goals and priorities. Works well with others as part of a team, giving support, and recognising and drawing from expertise in others.

7. Ability to collect data from various sources, analyse findings and present them clearly and accurately in a way that meets desired outcomes.

8. Good numeracy skills in entering and recording financial data and interpreting, analysing and presenting financial data in clear and accurate formats.

9. Proficiency in using Windows based software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, email and the internet. Experience of Raisers Edge or a comparable fundraising CRM package is desirable but not essential; training provided.

Context

As the Community and Events Fundraising Officer, you will play a key part in ending youth homelessness in Scotland by inspiring people to support Rock Trust.

You will deliver exceptional supporter care and create meaningful experiences for everyone fundraising for us. Although a varied role, your work will follow strong themes – relationship building, spending time with supporters, and working with the Fundraising team; all to make a tangible difference for young people.

You’ll join an experienced and collaborative Fundraising and Communications team and be supported to identify opportunities to grow our community presence, take ownership of our community-led income, and inspire long term supporter loyalty to Rock Trust. In this varied and people-focused role you will meet and present to community groups such as schools, student societies, churches, and voluntary organisations. You may support groups to host their own events, take part in Youth and Philanthropy Initiative projects, or run collections, and you’ll play an important role in improving our supporter stewardship; helping create meaningful ways to connect with, and thank, our supporters. 

You will also look after our events portfolio; recruiting participants, ensuring they receive top-notch stewardship, and supporting them in their fundraising journey. From our annual Firewalk to third-party challenges such as marathons and abseils, you’ll ensure that every participant has a fantastic experience. You’ll also use your creativity to bring fresh ideas to the table, adding to, and enhancing, our existing events programme to keep supporters engaged and inspired.

In the office, you will collaborate with teams such as Communications and Finance. You will help bring supporter stories to life, create engaging content, process donations, maintain our CRM database, and ensure fundraising activities run smoothly. You’ll also play an important part in supporting volunteers and volunteer groups, helping to create an excellent supporter experience at every stage.

You'll play a key role in developing and maintaining relationships with community groups, schools, businesses, organisations, and individual supporters across a designated region, while also supporting and developing members of the fundraising team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Fundraiser, you will be responsible for delivering fundraising income and supporter engagement across community, corporate, and events fundraising. You'll identify new opportunities, nurture existing relationships, and provide outstanding stewardship to ensure supporters feel valued and connected to the impact of their fundraising. 

You'll also provide line management and day-to-day leadership to designated team members, helping them to achieve their objectives and develop their fundraising careers. 

What You'll Be Doing 

Fundraising and Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with supporters, businesses, schools, community groups, and organisations. 

• Recruit, engage, and steward supporters to maximise fundraising opportunities. 

• Grow income across community, corporate, and events fundraising. 

• Identify and develop income-generation opportunities. 

• Use Salesforce CRM and supporter insights to inform fundraising activity and relationship management. 

• Monitor performance against fundraising targets and contribute to income forecasting and reporting. 

• Work collaboratively across the charity to identify networks and opportunities. 

• Promote Shine campaigns, events, and activities to increase awareness and income. 

• Share inspiring supporter stories and fundraising successes with colleagues across the organisation. 

• Represent Shine at events, meetings, and networking opportunities. 

Leadership and Team Development

• Provide line management to designated members of the Fundraising Team. 

• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews. 

• Support colleagues with coaching, guidance, and professional development. 

• Contribute to the recruitment, induction, and development of new team members. 

• Help foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture. 

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone who is passionate about fundraising, enjoys building relationships, and has a proven track record of delivering results. 

You will have: 

• Experience in fundraising, particularly across community, corporate, and/or events fundraising. 

• A strong track record of achieving and exceeding income targets. 

• Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills. 

• Experience managing multiple priorities. 

• Strong organisational skills and an understanding of KPIs, budgeting, target setting, and planning. 

• Experience using a CRM database, ideally Salesforce. 

• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications. 

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality reports and supporter communications. 

• A proactive, self-motivated, and positive approach to work. 

• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. 

Additional Requirements 

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. 

• Willingness to undertake occasional evening and weekend work to support fundraising activities and events. 

• Basic DBS & UK Right to Work.

Race Against Dementia is a global charity founded by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE to find preventions, treatments and cures for dementia – faster. 

We fund and support pioneering early-career scientists around the world, giving them the tools, mentoring and Formula 1-inspired mindset to accelerate breakthroughs. From the UK to the USA, Australia to South Africa, our researchers are rethinking how dementia research is done – applying data science, AI and engineering to neuroscience in bold, collaborative ways. 

Purpose of the role

Race Against Dementia is seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Senior Partnerships Officer to support the delivery of our ambitious fundraising strategy. You will play a key role in managing and developing partnerships that generate income and increase global awareness of our work.

Working closely with the Strategic Partnerships Lead, you will support the stewardship and growth of corporate and strategic partnerships, with an additional focus on international fundraising and partnership development. You will help identify and cultivate new opportunities across priority markets, including the USA, Switzerland and other emerging regions.

Formula 1 remains our flagship global partner, and this role will support the activation and maximisation of this and other high-profile relationships to drive fundraising and brand visibility.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver partnerships that contribute to Race Against Dementia’s fundraising targets and strategic objectives.
• Support the management of key partnership accounts, acting as a point of contact for partners and maintaining strong, positive relationships.
• Develop tailored partnership plans, ensuring alignment with partner objectives and demonstrating the impact of their support.
• Contribute to new business development by researching, identifying, and engaging prospective partners, including internationally.
• Support international fundraising activity by helping develop opportunities in priority global markets and assisting with partner engagement across different regions.
• Prepare high-quality partnership proposals and presentations, clearly communicating value, impact, and alignment with funder priorities.
• Working closely with the Research team, lead the development and delivery of a strategic partner communications programme, strengthening partner engagement through regular research updates, impact reporting, and organisational news.
• Take ownership of the Partnerships team's use of the CRM system - Salesforce, maintaining accurate records, developing tracking and reporting processes, and supporting prospect research, pipeline management, and new business development activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support the delivery of partnership campaigns, activations, and marketing initiatives.
• Monitor and report on partnership performance, tracking income, engagement, and impact against agreed targets.
• Stay informed on trends in corporate partnerships, CSR, and international fundraising to support innovation and growth.
• Support the activation of Race Against Dementia’s partnership with Formula 1 and associated global opportunities to maximise fundraising and awareness. 

Supporting Events

Provide support for key fundraising events, including partner engagement, stewardship and delivery support where required.

Assist with the coordination of international events and activations linked to partnership opportunities.

Other Duties

Carry out any other duties as required by the Strategic Partnerships Lead, CEO and Board of Trustees including:

• To attend, where appropriate, local, regional, national and international meetings/events.
• To maintain a good knowledge of international, national and local initiatives which are of benefit to Race Against Dementia.
• To administer your own workload, including meeting targets and deadlines in line with the Race Against Dementia appraisal system.
• To attend relevant CPD training events as required.
• To undertake responsibility, as part of the team, for all Health and Safety work related matters.

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end project management of virtual challenges, including planning, organisation, and delivery, ensuring successful outcomes and participant engagement.
• Developing and executing marketing plans, with a focus on digital channels, to maximise event participation and income.
• Coordinating the creation of marketing content, liaising with internal teams and external suppliers to produce accurate and effective promotional materials.
• Analysing performance metrics, preparing comprehensive evaluations, and providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Building strong collaborative relationships internally across fundraising, marketing, and data teams, whilst negotiating externally to secure value and resources.
• Managing supporter stewardship plans to foster loyalty, maximise gifts, and enhance supporter experiences.
• Overseeing volunteer support, including recruiting, training, and moderating Facebook Champions assisting with participant stewardship.
• Ensuring all activities comply with relevant regulations, including data protection and fundraising codes of practice.
• Monitoring sector trends and making recommendations to expand and diversify the virtual events portfolio.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience in fundraising, supporter engagement, or event management, preferably within the charity sector.
• Effective project management skills, with the ability to deliver multiple initiatives on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and supporter engagement techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of producing compelling content and maintaining positive relationships.
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to assess campaign performance and implement improvements.
