THE ROLE
NEA is looking to appoint new Warm and Safe Homes (WASH) Advice Line Co-ordinator posts on a full time (37 hours per week) basis; but we are happy to receive applications from candidates who may wish to work part time hours as we would be prepared to appoint posts as job share opportunities. Please state your preferred working pattern in your application and we will discuss this at interview.
WASH Advice Line Co-ordinators will be the first point of contact for vulnerable householders who are contacting the charity for a range of energy related advice matters. Co-ordinators will need to be empathetic, polite and have good listening skills but may also need you to be assertive and confident in order to provide support to clients, some of whom may be in difficult circumstances.
Whilst call centre or customer service experience will be advantageous, empathy and an ability to understand client needs is paramount and our training will give successful candidates the knowledge to succeed in the role.
The post holder’s main responsibilities will be to deal with customer and partner emails, calls, live chats and off- line tasks. These will include:

Provision of day-to-day support to our customers and partners (referral organisations) on any queries, or issues, through answering telephones calls and emails.

Process, resolve or escalate client queries within the WASH and wider team in line with the internal process.

As a WASH Advice Line Co-ordinator, you’ll be in the front line of the provision of solutions to client queries and issues as part of a wider team.
-
Maintenance of appropriate client records and necessary data using client management systems to ensure the progress of work towards project targets is monitored and that project outcomes are fully recorded.
The post holders will be responsible for the delivery of a range of projects which will demonstrate good practice in delivery of affordable warmth for low income and vulnerable householders.
The posts sit within the Communities Directorate and are part of a dynamic and caring team of professionals who go the extra mile to support their clients, some of whom may be in difficult circumstances.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
You should be able to demonstrate understanding or experience of energy efficiency, you will be empathetic and be a good listener – as well as demonstrable experience of responding to the needs of clients in direct contact settings. You will have the ability to work with a wide range of people and demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable householders, low income and/or other disadvantaged groups.
You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with a range of communities and individuals.
An awareness of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them, is desirable, although not essential.
NEA has several office locations throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and welcomes applicants from all regions. Summary of role
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a pivotal role for our Alliance, acting as deputy to the Executive Director (ED) and leading on operationalising our strategy to protect children from sexual exploitation and abuse online.
The successful candidate will oversee broad areas including people management; financial management; organisational culture; diversity, equity and inclusion; safeguarding; risk management; legal and compliance; and governance structures. They will work closely with the Executive Director and wider staff team to ensure highly effective internal processes, systems, controls, policies and procedures are in place to enable the impactful delivery of our strategy.

Job description
1. Organisational leadership and people management
-
Work with the ED and SMT to ensure a values-led and positive organisational culture is reflected throughout ways of working, internal communication, policies and processes, and all team activities.

Line-manage Senior Management Team (SMT) members, operational roles and other roles as necessary (currently Head of Development, Head of Communications and Engagement, Head of Policy, Advocacy and Research, and Operations Manager).

Chair weekly SMT meetings.
-
Oversee human resources and people management processes, ensuring alignment with best practice in areas including recruitment, induction, performance management, safety, wellbeing, learning and development, and benefits.

Ensure diversity, inclusion and equity (DEI) considerations are at the forefront of all work and decisions, working alongside our expert DEI Consultant.

Oversee the bi-annual, in-person team retreat.

2. Operational management

2. Financial oversight

- Annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasting and monitoring.

- Lead on legal and regulatory compliance issues, seeking advice from lawyers in the UK, Belgium and The Netherlands, and other experts, as necessary.

Job Title: Head of Grants
Reports to: CEO
Salary: £45,000 - £47,000 pa (dependent on experience)
Location. Remote, home-based work and occasional attendance in Edinburgh office.

Responsibilities. Head of Grants will have the following responsibilities:

About Us
The Veterans’ Foundation (VF) is an independent grant-making charitable foundation. It has established a substantial grants’ programme to support charities and organisations in the UK that provide charitable support to those in need among serving armed forces personnel, veterans, operationally qualified seafarers and their immediate families. The charity has grown rapidly since inception in July 2016 and has to date (Oct 24) given away more than £25M to good causes and handed out around £1.6M to good causes each quarter for the past year.
The VF supports a broad range of charities and organisations that deliver a wide variety of projects to members of the armed forces’ community including those that reduce homelessness, increase employment, provide welfare and medical support, increase confidence and social integration, as well as reducing dependence on alcohol and drugs. The VF gives priority to charities and organisations who can demonstrate that they are directly involved in the provision of support to those in need, and that are well-run organisations of low to medium wealth while also recognising innovation.
Since inception, income has come mainly from the Veterans’ Lottery, however, individual and corporate donations have grown significantly, and we now have staff focusing on this too.
The VF’s office is based in New Town in Edinburgh’s city centre. The VF’s staff consists of 13 employees: Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, 2 x staff in Finance, 3 x staff in Grants and 5 x staff in Fundraising. We now seek someone to fill a new post as Head of Grants.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to lead our Humanists Local Groups programme as part of our dynamic People Team. As the Local Groups Network Manager you'll play a pivotal role in expanding and professionalising our Local Group model, helping us develop humanist communities across the UK.
You'll have experience working in a distributed organisational structure (Hub and Spoke or federated structure) leading regional representatives. Ideally you'll have experience managing volunteers so you can lead our network of volunteer coordinators who are at the heart of building local Humanists communities.
You'll be comfortable to lead on the strategic development of our Local Groups, empowering volunteers to represent Humanists UK at the grassroots level, and support them as local community and campaign leaders.
What you'll be doing
You'll work with our Local Groups Volunteer Coordinator and People Officer (Volunteer Support) to ensure the effective recruitment, training, support, and retention of Local Group Coordinators, building and maintaining a thriving network.
You'll develop and maintain internal infrastructure to support and professionalise Local Groups, enabling them to act as community and campaign arms for Humanists UK. Fundraising is still a relatively new activity for DFN Project SEARCH and this role presents the opportunity to play a key part in its expansion to support the further growth of the charity and enable young adults with a learning disability to lead healthier, happier, and more independent lives.

Day One Trauma Support is now providing face to face services in Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Middlesbrough, Newcastle and Manchester. Our preference is for this role to be based in the north-west to build and develop our supporter networks around Aintree Major Trauma Centre and the Greater Manchester Major Trauma Hospital (Salford), but if you’re amazing and live in the north or north-east, then we’d still love to hear from you.
Who you’ll be working with
You’ll work as a key member of our friendly, experienced and enthusiastic communications and fundraising team. We're a small, dedicated team with big ambitions, and we prioritise time to work collaboratively and support each other. You’ll be line-managed by our Fundraising Manager and work alongside our Senior Fundraiser and our Fundraising Assistant. You’ll be supported by our Fundraising and Communications Director, our Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees.

The Events and Fundraising Assistant helps to improve, develop and organise our events, including the London Legal Walk, Great Legal Bake, Great Legal Quiz and many more across London and the South East. They work to maintain contact with our wide network of dedicated supporters, keeping our database up-to-date with contact and event information. They update our website and produce content for printed materials to promote our events programme, and assist with the recruitment and management of volunteers.
