Responsibilities of our Community Fundraising Officer:

• This role supports the delivery, growth and reach of community fundraising in a defined geographical location and supports the development and delivery of a local fundraising strategy in line with the organisation’s broader income generation objectives.
• The Community Fundraising Officer will establish, implement, develop and maximize all community fundraising opportunities, increase income, deliver exceptional supporter stewardship and exemplary volunteer management, working collaboratively with the Community Fundraising Hub Manager and Community Fundraising Volunteer Team Leader to build on past successes and develop a diverse pipeline of community fundraising events and activities that respond to local audience needs.
• The role will also build and develop exceptional fundraising relationships with supporters and volunteers within the defined geographical location to harness the power of our local footprint and raise income and awarenes

About the Community Fundraising team:

• We sit within the Community Events team
• Our team is responsible for leading and supporting community activites to drive and grow our community fundraised income.
• We currently have a team of 30+

The Role:

As a Database Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Data & Appeals Manager by ensuring our supporter and contact database (Raiser's Edge) is effectively maintained and up to date. A leading cultural, social change organisation is looking for a Fellowship Growth and Partnerships Officer on a permanent basis.

 Location: London. Hybrid working (3 days office-based)

Salary: £30,000 – £32,000

 As Fellowship Growth and Partnerships Officer you will be responsible for delivering the growth and development of the organisations network of over 31,000 Fellows in line with the overarching operational strategy. This involves promoting Fellowship internally and externally through events, presentations, responding to enquiries effectively, generating leads, and delivering digital recruitment campaigns.

Key responsibilities include:

• Achieving individual and team recruitment targets by recruiting on a rolling basis suitable individuals for Fellowship.

 The successful candidate will have experience in persuading others to take an action through one-to-one conversations and public speaking, whether in sales, marketing, campaigns or another capacity and will be comfortable working to targets, particularly relating to growth or income. Excellent networking skills and the ability to engage new people effectively at events is crucial, as is the ability to think creatively and be able to spot and take advantage of opportunities. Finally, you must have strong data inputting skills and confidence with a  broad range of IT systems/the ability to quickly pick up new systems and technology.

The Role: This is an exciting new position for a highly motivated, organized, and analytical individual with the opportunity to make a real difference in a growing organization. As our Government Fundraising Specialist, you will be at the forefront of implementing our government fundraising strategy. This role involves a blend of research, advocacy, strategic proposal development, and guidance on contractual and donor compliance. You will join a dynamic, hard-working team responsible for securing 90% of the organization's revenue. Your work will focus on a new two-pronged approach: targeting governments at both the capital and local embassy levels in the regions where we operate our grantmaking programs, with the goal of making this revenue stream a significant component of our organizational budget in the coming years. You will not be starting from scratch, as we currently have secured government funding, as well as numerous relationships with governments that can be leveraged. And you will work in partnership with many colleagues across departments who will contribute to the success of this role.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Organizational Preparation: Help prepare the organization for success in securing new government funding by developing internal systems, processes, and workflows necessary for effective engagement and management.
• Strategy Development: Contribute to refining and enhancing the government fundraising strategy to align with organizational goals and emerging opportunities.

Skills for Success: To excel in this role, you will need:

• Expertise: At least 7 years of experience in fundraising for international human rights, social justice and/or development cooperation, with a proven track record of securing funding from government donors through both relationship building and competitive bids.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of the government donor landscape and grant processes.
• Compliance Savvy: Strong grasp of compliance requirements related to government grants and experience in working with internal colleagues to prepare organizations to meet these requirements.
