In alignment with SPANA's 2023-2027 strategy and the Global Programmes Department 2025 business plan, the Programme Quality and Delivery (PQD) team is focused on the development of a high quality, innovative portfolio that delivers immediate and lasting change for working animals.
We are looking for an experienced senior consultant to provide interim strategic support and continuity to our PQD team during a transitional period whilst we recruit for a permanent Head of PQD.
This is an interim consultancy role focused on delivering key outcomes, offering expert guidance, and ensuring ongoing progress against departmental priorities. We are recruiting for a talented Benefits and Debt Worker who has a background in supporting women or children who have experienced domestic violence to make a genuine difference to the lives of survivors. We believe in empowering women and girls to lead safe, non-violent, equal lives and you will play a key role in helping us deliver vital services to those who need them the most. As a Benefits and Debt Worker you will provide service users with advice and support on finance and debt. Carrying out comprehensive assessments, via phone and face-to-face, and you will provide advocacy and support that empowers survivors primarily during crises and in the short term. You will also proactively work with other agencies on the service users’ behalf. You will hold a caseload of survivors and work as part of our duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.
About You:
To be successful as the Benefits and Debt Worker you will need the below experience and skills:
You will have the ability to encourage user engagement with the service through proactive contact. Maintain project logs and collate data from the logs for Team Managers. Proactively assess the needs and safety of any children that women using the service may have. Bring your experience of providing benefit, and debt advice and successfully, managing high numbers of calls and/or cases and have a solid understanding (possibly experience) of supporting women who have experienced domestic violence, forced marriage or ‘honour-based violence.

Role Purpose
The Operations Director is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective running of all operational aspects of Katherine Low Settlement. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this.
Their vision is to find a cure for all types of brain tumours. To achieve their mission, they are looking for a Community Fundraiser who will proactively engage with supporters, community groups and volunteers across the West Midlands to join their team of 12 Community Fundraisers across the UK.
The Community Fundraiser (West Midlands) is responsible for providing support and guidance to fundraisers within their communities to achieve their ambitions and ultimately raise vital funds for Brain Tumour Research. This is achieved through a wide variety of activities such as helping supporters to make the most of their own fundraising, engaging participants with externally organised events such as the Great Birmingham Run, and encouraging communities to get involved in events organised by Brain Tumour Research such as Wear a Hat Day and Walk for Hope. The Community Fundraiser will be the face of Brain Tumour Research in the area, providing excellent stewardship to existing supporters, and building great relationships with new supporters.
This post has been vacant since Autumn, and as such needs a fundraiser with confidence and capability in fundraising to join the team, provide donor love to the loyal supporters in the area, and approach developing the areas potential with energy and enthusiasm. About this job
The Office Administrator role is to provide a high level of customer service and support to our service users, supporters, volunteers, groups, members of the public and internal customers. Job purpose
You will be responsible for managing the financial transactions of the organisation. Working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure all financial systems are implemented effectively while ensuring data integrity and compliance with accounting standards. You will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on survivors and their children, and of best practice within the domestic abuse and housing sectors. You will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. The post holder will hold a caseload of survivors and will also be required to support Advance’s duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.

Purpose of This Role:
Reporting to the Head of Communications, the role will provide support for a range of Comms functions across the organisation, particularly NASP’s social media, website, newsletter, CRM, and video & graphic design.

Experience & Knowledge:

Knowledge and experience of Facebook, Instagram, X, You Tube and LinkedIn platforms, including the creation of organic content and paid for campaigns

Ability to write, proofread and edit copy to a high standard for a wide range of audiences

Experience of website management and maintenance

Ability to synthesise complex information into simple but accurate content

Ability to design and create strong visual content suitable for different social media channels and a range of audiences, using Canva or similar programmes

Team-player who shares their knowledge and supports colleagues

Proactive and organised self-starter able to use their own initiative and make tasks their own
Skills & Attributes:

Video editing skills

Experience of working on a behaviour-change campaign aimed at the public

Experience working with Hootsuite or a similar platform

Knowledge of Google Analytics

Experience working with Umbraco or Wordpress

Experience of working with a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) or Microsoft Dynamics

Knowledge of best Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) practices

Understanding of social prescribing and the work of the National Academy for Social Prescribing
Responsibilities:
-
Develop and execute NASP’s social media plan, ensuring that activity aligns with the organisation’s strategic priorities, and to develop a holistic social media approach based on organisational objectives

Support the Head of Communications on website development and management, such as updating, editing and improving pages, using a CMS, sourcing content and ensuring accessibility

Lead on NASP newsletter communications, developing customer journeys through the CRM and implementing effective segmentation of audiences and messages

Lead on internal communications by writing and sending a weekly staff email, updating the intranet

Generate case studies and other content across all digital channels and to proactively contribute to the editorial calendar, ensuring relevant content is promoted at the optimal time on the most effective channels

Collating and designing documents such as evidence reviews and reports

Engage and respond to social media engagements, proactively reaching out and creating opportunities

Management of the central communications and enquiries inboxes, responding to and triaging enquiries from external and internal sources

Create videos and graphics highlighting NASP’s work, and support the creation of videos and podcasts featuring NASP’s ambassadors and projects
-
Lead on evaluating impact of social media and related activity and recommending action to take to maximise achievement of objectives

Grow NASP’s online presence, and to scope further opportunities in line with the business objectives

Work with colleagues to deliver NASP’s webinar programme

Work with Programmes and Corporate Affairs teams to promote NASP’s events, coordinating social media marketing, and to provide administrative support for events when required

Administrative support for the Communications team, as required

Update NASP’s CRM as required
