About the Role:
The Knowledge Management and Learning Senior Advisor drives the design and implementation of WaterAid's organisational programme learning and knowledge management strategy. The senior advisor leads the development of knowledge management tools, contribute to organisational processes for collating and disseminating program knowledge, and the evolution of knowledge exchange mechanisms. Additionally, lead the development of the internal programme and policy knowledge library, ensuring comprehensive access and collaborating on strategic knowledge communications. The Senior advisor reports into the Knowledge Management and Learning Senior Manager and their key accountabilities will be:

Co-lead Programme Learning and knowledge management (approximately 50% of time)

• Co-lead the design and implementation of an organisational programme learning and knowledge management strategy (in alignment with the organisational research agenda led by GPAC and supported by PMER processes).
• Lead the development and implementation of knowledge management and learning strategies and tools to capture, organise, and disseminate programme learning within the organisation and externally
• Co-lead the development of organisational mechanisms for knowledge exchange and evolution of our approaches.
• Support and advise PSK team members to effectively document, use and share programme learning and design dissemination strategy and plans to promote thematic learning to the target audience(s).

Develop and promote effective Information Management (approximately 20%)

• Co-Lead the development of the internal programme and policy knowledge library, ensuring that it is comprehensive and easily accessible to relevant stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external for strategic and knowledge communications, shaping and populating internal and external facing knowledge systems and building linkages for the same.
• Support internal and external communications teams for strategic and knowledge communications, shaping and populating external facing knowledge systems.

Lead the development of programme guidance and standards (approximately 10%)

• Lead the process and methods to develop and maintain WaterAid's normative frameworks, standards and guidance materials for both internal and external audiences, coordinating with PSK's and GPAC's technical and policy leads. Lead an efficient yet collaborative approach that ensured these are developed built on the extensive knowledge and experience that exists across all levels of the federation.
• Support the dissemination of core normative programmatic documents and standards (frameworks, standards, guidelines, toolkits) through various platforms.

Support Programme Capacity Development (approximately 5% of time)

• Contribute to the development of the capacity strengthening strategy and ensure joined-up articulation of learning, knowledge management and capacity strengthening.
• Work with Capacity Strengthening Senior Advisor, to facilitate organisational mechanisms for knowledge exchange, learning and capacity-strengthening.

Support fundraising, external engagement, and communications (approximately 5% of time)

• Contribute to the organisation's business development efforts by supporting donor engagement, intelligence gathering, and preparation of funding proposals.
• Provide technical input to specific strategic initiatives and programme design particularly on aspects of knowledge management and programme learning.

Contribute to team processes (approximately 10% of time)

• Provide support to any other relevant processes within the remit of Knowledge Management & Learning team as required as an active member of a small team.
• Support PSK annual planning, budgeting, and reporting processes

About You:

• Proven experience in leading the design and implementation of organisational programme learning and knowledge management strategies.
• Strong knowledge management background with a track record of developing effective strategies and tools to capture, organize, and disseminate program learning.
• Experience in evolving knowledge exchange mechanisms and creating organizational mechanisms for knowledge evolution.
• Extensive experience in determining and implementing learning and knowledge sharing activities using empowering approaches.
• Ability to research, synthesise information, analyse its relevance and communicate it in accessible formats.
• Experience of designing, developing, and facilitating in-person and virtual meetings and workshops.
• Experience of developing and maintaining comprehensive and accessible knowledge libraries.
• Strong IT literacy skills, including designing and maintaining SharePoint or similar information management platforms; and using Microsoft 365 and other web based tools and platforms.
• Experience working in low and middle-income countries.
• Ability to communicate clearly and influence colleagues and peers; ability to work effectively across diverse groups and cultures.
• A self-starter, able to work independently and drive tasks forward to completion, escalating issues where appropriate.

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:

• Working knowledge of one or more of WaterAid's working languages (French, Portuguese and Spanish).
• Experience with information and nurturing of virtual communities of practices and networks.

• Experience in conducting and/or managing research.
• Sound knowledge of WASH and related development issues such as sustainability, rights and equality.

We are seeking a skilled Grants and Compliance Manager to join our charity. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the grant application process and building relationships within the local community.

The Grants and Compliance Manager will: -

Manage the grant application process including

• Inviting people, groups, schools, churches and charities to apply
• Work with grant applicants to produce good quality grant applications
• Reviewing applications against the applicable criteria
• Produce reports and evaluations of applications
• Conduct due diligence on applicants

Manage the grants award process

• Undertake correspondence with applicants
• Arrange bank payments to be made including liaise with trustees to ensure timely payments of success grant awards
• Monitoring and evaluating supported projects through visits and reports
• Maintaining records of grant awards and all applications

Financial Management and Accounts

• Ensure financial management of grants and undertake any financial control requirements
• Keep accurate financial records and liaise with Accountants and Clerk
• Maintain accurate accounts and records of expenditure, ensuring an adequate documented audit trail is available for all activities and spending
• Work with Clerk and trustees to produce budgets and in year forecasts

Administration

• In collaboration with the Clerk and secretary, prepare and assemble papers for trustee meetings, including financial forecasts, investment reports, reports on applicants and other papers as required.
• Host, attend, and advise at trustee meetings, including all preparatory work and if required minute taking.

The role:
 
As a Young Adult Intervention Coach (YIC), you will be responsible for the assessment and implementation of tailored intervention coaching plans for each at risk young person on your caseload. You will work to achieve progression outcomes for each young person that includes reducing mental, physical, and emotional harm and supporting each young person transition to positive, thriving lifestyle both on a one-to-one basis, and in partnership with other individuals and agencies involved in the lives of each young person.

Your purpose is to identify, disrupt, challenge, and support young people to move out of harm and prevent further involvement in harmful activities. This will involve targeted street work, specialised one to one harm reduction and life skills coaching. 

Alongside this you will work with intervention frontline colleagues in tertiary intervention such as knife and gun crime crisis situations as well as working with partner agencies.

You will have robust frontline experience of working with young people, including experience in engaging, assessing, and delivering interventions designed to support young people to build personal resilience and move away from harm and violence. You will also possess sound risk assessment skills and safeguarding knowledge.  A key component of the job role is case management and knowledge of good practice models, which will underpin their practice, is essential.

About the role

We are looking to recruit a permanent multi-skilled advocate to join our busy Halton Advocacy HUB multi-disciplinary team, working 22.5 hours per week.

Based in Halton, for this exciting multi-disciplinary role, we are looking for those with a particular interest in Non-Statutory Advocacy as the role will be based in a secure unit for up to two days a week. This role involves providing general advocacy support to patients in supporting form filling, sourcing general information, signposting and general low-level concerns and safeguarding issues around their care not covered by the IMHA role.  The role also covers the NHS Complaints Advocacy in our Warrington HUB (or Halton Hub when required), helping people who need support in making a complaint about their care and treatment under the NHS.

We also require a talented person to undertake the role of the RPR to support individuals detained under the Mental capacity Act on a DoLS when needed.

What we need from you

We are looking for someone who has the creativity and enthusiasm to support people in difficult circumstances, ideally has experience in a health or social care and may have their own life experiences relevant to the role. Although it would be useful to already hold a formal advocacy qualification, if you have not got advocacy qualifications it is not a problem, we will provide the required training.

You will be working from a secure mental health unit for up to two days a week and then the rest of the week will either be working from home so must have access to a stable home broadband service. There will also be an element of the role where you will be out in the community, but not exclusively, in Warrington, Halton, Widnes and Runcorn areas and therefore you must have access to your own transport.

There may be times when work is required outside normal working hours, so flexibility is required.

The Parish of Mother of Unfailing Help, which comprises Leeds Cathedral and the Church of the Holy Rosary, Chapeltown, is looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced individual to play a key role in the running of this busy Cathedral Parish.

The role  will include some evening and weekend work.

The post holder will play a key role in establishing the operational infrastructure necessary to support the running of a wide range of activities at Leeds Cathedral, Cathedral House, Wheeler Hall, Holy Rosary Church and the newly refurbished Holy Rosary Community Room.

This is a new role whichrecognises the evolving demands of parish life and the advantages of introducing lay involvement in the operational management of our parish structure. The role requires excellent people management skills and will have day-to-day line management responsibility for a small team. It has a particular focus on facilities management and a key aspect of the role will be improving income generation from Wheeler Hall and the Holy Rosary Community Room as well as the day-to-day administration of the Parish, including the parish finances and administration associated with the Sacramental Programmes. The role promises to be very rewarding and would suit an applicant who is looking for the variety of a broad role, who thrives on collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and who enjoys taking ownership of tasks. It is suited to someone who is adaptable and willing to work in a challenging environment.

The Parish is funded primarily through the offertory collection (donations) from parishioners. Some specific works may be grant-funded. We are part of the registered charity of the Diocese of Leeds. It is therefore essential that the postholder is mindful of the good stewardship of parish resources, is comfortable working to tight budgets and seeking value for money at all times.

The primary location of work will be Leeds Cathedral, which as well as being the Mother Church of the Diocese of Leeds, is home to the celebrated Diocese of Leeds School Singing Programme and Keyboard Studies Programme. This makes the Cathedral a particularly busy and often musical place to work!
