This role is a new position designed to strengthen our senior leadership team, working closely with the Executive Director and Operations Director to guide the strategic direction of the organisation.

The British Museum is seeking a Membership Services Assistant to join the Advancement department. The main purpose of this role is to deliver excellent customer care to Members and provide administrative support for the day-to-day running of the Membership Office.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Accurately process all new Membership applications, renewals, gift aid declarations, payments (including direct debit), event ticket applications, postal applications and donations to agreed procedures and service level standards.
- Deal with all general enquiries and correspondence, on the telephone, in writing or by email to agreed standards and procedures, escalating issues as necessary.
- Ensure data integrity is maintained, accurate data recorded and data processing protocols are adhered to at all times. Handle other relevant data processing and administration as required.
- Support the administration and organisation of Members' events as necessary and where necessary attend events outside of general working hours (TOIL will be given).
- Support the Membership Services Manager: Member Relations and Membership Services Coordinator: Member Relations as necessary in other tasks and duties related to customer care of Members.
About you:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent; English and Maths essential
- Experience of dealing with the public and diffusing difficult situations
- Excellent telephone manner and strong written correspondence skills
- Evidence of excellent customer service skills with experience in direct customer service, e.g. retail, reception, public affairs
- Experience of using CRM Databases or similar software and capable user of Microsoft packages
- Accuracy in data entry and excellent attention to detail
- Proven organisational and communication skills
- Ability to evaluate and improve repetitive tasks and procedures
- Enjoys working with people, as well as in a busy office environment while taking responsibility for a variety of tasks

Rainbow Migration, the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system, is recruiting a Legal Officer to advise and help improve the representation of LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and help change the asylum and immigration system to one that treats everyone with compassion, dignity and respect.
We are looking for a qualified solicitor or barrister with valid practising certificate, or already accredited to Level 3 OISC, with two years’ experience in providing advice and representation in asylum including working in legal aid.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the legal advice service. Under the guidance of our Legal Service Manager, you will also build capacity amongst legal representatives by designing and delivering training, giving second tier advice and developing and coordinating a network of practitioners working in this area. You will use the knowledge you gain in this role to help deliver Rainbow Migration’s policy work, such as inputting into policy papers and meeting with partner organisations when required.
We will also consider applications from people who do not want to do the policy elements of the job, but to instead focus on first and second tier advice. Please mention in your covering letter if you are applying for this option.
This is a unique opportunity to build on your experience as a lawyer to improve representation across the sector and create change in government policy and practice. You will be supported to develop as a specialist lawyer and in your policy skills.
Responsibilities will include:
· Deliver one-off advice to adult LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and work with colleagues to refer them to quality legal aid and pro bono lawyers
· Provide casework assistance e.g. helping to prepare witness statements, making referrals to other specialist organisations and taking other urgent steps (whilst not representing service users or maintaining a caseload)
· Provide occasional advice (within competence) on other issues affecting asylum and partnership service users such as asylum support, legal aid, trafficking, family reunion or community care
· Deliver second tier advice to the legal representatives of LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and other charities and professionals
· Work with the Legal Service Manager to design and deliver training to lawyers, NGOs and other professionals
· Write blogs and articles on asylum and immigration policy and legislation as they apply to LGBTQI+ people
· Contribute to policy and briefing papers
· Assist with preparing guidelines and briefings for legal services and pro bono lawyers
The Legal Officer will not be providing direct legal representation of service users. However, the role includes substantive advice and casework within the scope of legal support and referrals for our service users, as well as merits testing and second tier advice.

Contract Type: Permanent.
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time or job-sharing will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.
Salary: Starting at £40,175, with potential annual step increases up to £44,868 (pro-rata for part-time employees), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, the trustees consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.
Location: Remote or from Rainbow Migration’s offices in central London. Hybrid working will also be considered. The successful candidate could work from anywhere in the UK but would be expected to occasionally travel to London and other parts of the country for meetings and events. Job Summary
This role is an expansion of our employment pathway and will be our first dedicated employment coach for our students.
PiP has developed a unique reputation for our experience and quality of employment support for adults with learning disabilities. This has led to an increased number of referrals with a focus on employment, an expansion of our in-house social enterprise capacity, and more employers keen to work alongside us to diversify their staff base.
PiP is keen to respond to and meet this demand. This role for us is the next step in doing so, allowing us to increase our job coaching capacity and providing more dedicated resource for students on their employment journey. As to date our coaching has been delivered across our existing staff team.

To coordinate and grow York Mind’s community and events fundraising income through effective networking, event, and volunteer coordination.
This role sits within our Corporate Wellbeing Service team, where you will mainly work alongside our Head of Corporate Wellbeing Services and Corporate Fundraiser, to generate income for the charity through community engagement and events. You will be responsible for meeting the annual community and events income target. The role will require someone with strong organisational skills, and prior experience as a Fundraiser in another organisation. You will divide your time between developing, planning, and running events, supporting people to raise money on behalf of York Mind, and creating new relationships in the community, such as with schools and sports clubs. We have an annual calendar of both internal and external events, including our annual Mental Elf run, as well as challenges such as the York 10k and Yorkshire Marathon. Your role will be to fill events, and effectively steward and support people to raise as much money as possible through their participation. As part of your role in event coordination, you will be responsible for our fundraising volunteer base, including recruitment and effective utilisation of volunteers at our various events. Flexibility will be key, as some events happen on evenings and weekends. Another important part of this role will be engaging and developing relationships with community supporters. You should have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy getting out and about in the community (eg. sports clubs/community organisations) to grow our supporter base and look after those who we currently work with. Finally, the Corporate Wellbeing Services Team work collaboratively and therefore you should be able to work effectively as part of a team and be willing to support others in their roles to ensure the effective running of the whole department. For example, you may be involved in running campaigns and referring individuals to our training courses. This will require someone who is adaptable and supportive.

You will be an excellent communicator, capable of influencing at a senior level, and able to bring fresh perspectives to the organisation.

The Role
As our Fundraising Manager, you will take on a key role, creating the income we need to undertake our vital work supporting disabled people.
We are looking to further develop and diversify our income streams beyond Trusts and foundation and focus on increasing donations from individuals with an interest in our cause.
Growing our individual supporter base, you will recruit new supporters and build on the excellent foundations laid by our outgoing Community Fundraiser to raise our profile amongst our neighbours.
You will provide outstanding relationship management and donor care to supporters, ensuring they are recognised and thanked for their contribution. Additionally, you will develop and deliver fundraising operational plans, helping to create fundraising materials that encourage and support fundraising potential.
About You
To be considered as our Fundraising Manager, you will need:
- Experience increasing fundraising income from individuals and achieving income targets
- Experience of the effective stewardship of charity donors
- Project planning and management experience
- Experience managing and hitting budgets
- Knowledge of fundraising good practice
- An excellent understanding of donor stewardship and relationship management

As the Registered Manager, you will:
- Join the experienced Care Management Team, alongside sixteen other managers, of which four manage solo or dual children’s homes.
- Use your experience combined with the organisation’s model to lead a team which encourages children to develop a positive sense of self and ensure that professional standards are maintained at a high level.
- Collaborate with the organisation’s Therapeutic team, who provide two days a week of therapeutic support, including advice and practical tools, to support your team in providing trauma-informed nurturing care for each child.
- Provide effective support to staff, including advice and guidance, reflective supervision and annual appraisal. You will be able to guide your team's development using the organisation's extensive specialist workforce training programs.
- Work in partnership with young people, their families and friends, colleagues, and other agencies to achieve the best outcomes for each child in your care.
- Work collaboratively with the organisation’s Staying Connected service for a smooth transition when a young person leaves care, benefiting from in-house support and the organisation's lifelong offer.

About you:
To perform well in this role, you’ll need:
- Minimum of a relevant qualification (minimum - childcare related Diploma at Level 3)

- 2 years’ experience working in a position relevant to the residential care of children in the last 5 years
- Minimum of 1 year experience in supervision and management of others in a care role
- Work in a residential or field social work setting relevant to the job

- Experience of working with young people who have experienced trauma and disrupted attachments
