About the Lead HR Officer role

In this generalist role, you will focus on the recruitment and retention of talented staff by helping to foster a positive, inclusive and empowering working environment that shapes our organisational culture. You will play an integral  part in shaping policies, championing best practice, managing employee relations and leading mental health and wellbeing initiatives.

As Lead HR Officer you will have both a strategic and operational focus, from incorporating EDI into our practices to providing specialist support and expertise in areas such as recruitment, performance management and employee relations. This role is also responsible for the line management of the HR Coordinator, and you will at times deputise for the Director of People and Culture at HR Group and Board of Trustee meetings.

About you

Qualified to CIPD level 5 and experienced in busy HR environments,  you should be adept at providing advice and support, skilled in reviewing and developing policy, and familiar with leading wellbeing activities and other HR projects to successful conclusions.

Exposure to HR systems and databases such as NaturalHR and external resources including HR-inform would be beneficial, as would knowledge of payroll management, experience of standing in for more senior managers and a Mental Health First aid qualification. You should be passionate about the WI’s  mission to transform women’s lives as well as a true ambassador for diversity, with outstanding problem-solving  skills and a confident yet sensitive approach to delivering change.

Job Description

As the People Partner for Catch22 you will provide a proactive and forward-thinking HR service to the business and operate as an internal consultant, influencing, identifying, and maximising opportunities to improve people capability and performance.

You will be responsible for supporting your business areas by providing specialist coaching, support and advice that enables our business development and senior management to effectively deliver their people and business plans.

You will be responsible for giving specialist HR advice in relation to all HR policies and procedures in accordance with best practice, current and proposed employment legislation and local arrangements and support delivery of the HR Strategy and evolving partnering model.

About the role

Sightsavers Cameroon office are currently recruiting for a Driver and Administrative Assistant to drive employees, visitors, and consultants when necessary and to always ensure the maintenance and safety of all office vehicles, as well as performing clerical duties to support the efficient running of the office.

As the Driver and Administrative Assistant, you will:

• Ensure employees, visitors and consultants are transported safely to their destination

• Drive within the laws of Cameroon and with respect for other road users' pedestrians

• Ensure the maintenance of Sightsavers vehicles by checking fuel, oil and water daily and refuelling when necessary.

• Keep vehicles in a clean condition inside and outside. 

• Check tyres, logbooks, tools, etc. and test-drive each vehicle once a week. 

• Undertake routine maintenance of vehicles, including simple repairs. 

• Ensures vehicles are regularly serviced and advise the Administrative Officer when servicing is required and/or when defects/ problems arise. 

• Make sure all vehicles have reflectors, fire extinguishers, first aid box, etc.  First aid boxes for the vehicles must be checked regularly to ensure that items used are promptly replenished. 

• Keep a maintenance record of vehicles e.g. replacement of major parts, tyres, batteries, etc.

• Transact business with the banks on foreign currencies for staff related travels 

• Maintain liaison with officials of immigration and embassies for staff entry visas and renewal of passports and work permits. 

• Assist with the organisation of various office events (seminar, plenaries, meetings, workshops, Away Days etc)

As the ideal candidate you will possess a certificate of Education (GCE) ordinary level, have extensive experience as a Driver, and have good administrative experience.

Further requirements include:

• Experience working for an IGNO/NGO

• Clean and valid driving licence

• Availability for emergency work on weekends and public holidays

• Good command of spoken English/French

Purpose

We are currently seeking a results-driven Data and Analytics Manager, with a strong technical background, a passion for data and proficiency with CRM systems. Job Purpose

As the Growth & Connection Coordinator you will lead the coordination of our flagship weekend event, a contemporary Rites of Passage Adventure (ROPA) for teenage boys. You will also support our local groups in delivering mentoring circles, day intensives and activity sessions. This role includes administrative, communication, and outreach responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of our programmes and effective engagement with young people, parents and carers, mentors, youth services, and other stakeholders.

One of our biggest challenges is recruiting teenage boys to our programmes. While we don’t expect all candidates to have experience in recruiting young people to youth programmes, we do expect you to feel confident and proactive about tackling this challenge.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely and with and reporting directly to our CEO, your responsibilities will be to:

• Lead the coordination of ROPA and support local groups, ensuring logistics and planning are effectively managed while maintaining accurate records and administrative documentation.

• Develop proactive strategies for the recruitment of teenage boys, building on what we’ve learnt, and delivering on those strategies.

• Liaising with parents, carers, youth services as well as young people. 

• Coordinate mentor support processes, including the recruitment and onboarding of new mentors and completing safeguarding procedures such as DBS checks.

• Ensure key policies and procedures are upheld.

• Assist in measuring and demonstrating programme impact.

• Contribute to communications, including social media, newsletters, and updates.

• Support fundraising initiatives, including drafting proposals and utilising our impact data.

• Play an active role in shaping a thriving team culture.

Person Specification

This role is both strategic and hands-on, suited for someone with a proactive and resourceful attitude while maintaining a thoughtful and empathetic approach to working with people. Although we anticipate that this role would be suited to someone with experience working with young people, in the youth sector or in the charity and voluntary sector, we are looking for the right person and are open to applications from everyone.

Work Setup & Time Commitment

• Fully remote role – candidates must have their own computer and working setup.

• Fixed-term freelance contract of 32 days, to be used flexibly over 12-16 weeks starting mid-March or sooner.

University College London Hospitals Charity (UCLH Charity) is partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell to recruit a Finance Assistant on a permanent, part-time basis (28 hours per week). UCLH Charity is the main charity associated with University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The charity works to improve patient and staff welfare by providing funding for research, medical equipment and education facilities for the Trust, and is currently carrying out a major property redevelopment. The charity team also administers a subsidiary company and several other small charities.

UCLH Charity is now seeking a part-time Finance Assistant who can join the finance team which currently consists of six people. Reporting into the Head of Finance and to the Senior Property Manager this role is likely to appeal to someone who has worked with a smaller organisation with experience across a range of accounts and administrative processes.

The key responsibilities will be:

• The charity operates 800 discretionary funds on behalf of individual wards and doctors. Transactions relating to these funds make up most of the day-to-day work for the finance team and this role will play a key part in assisting with this.
• Support both functions, investigating receipts and following up on unpaid invoices.
• Assist with invoicing, ensuring accurate POs for prompt payments.

Programme Management is a multi-specialist team that manages the national logistical and support functions for Frontline’s programmes, ensuring teams are well supported to deliver the programmes effectively and participants and leaders have an excellent experience. The Operations Manager is one of several managers within the team.

The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring effective operations, systems, and processes are well designed and implemented across our core programmes such as Approach Social Work and the Consultant Social Worker programme. ​

RfP starts in the summer, with five weeks of intensive study that takes place mostly online, but with five days of in-person teaching.

Programme Manager Role

The Programme Manager will be responsible for growing the First Give network in the Midlands. Growth across the Midlands plays a part in our recently launched strategy, and the Programme Manager will use their understanding of the education sector to build relationships with key stakeholders and grow our number of partner schools.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Pioneering Project, as we develop a variety of pathways to faith on the Roundshaw Estate.  These include ‘Meal & Meditation’, ‘Popcorn & Ponder’ and ‘Tea & Toast’, which give space for a diverse group of people to journey towards faith in Jesus within a relaxed, participative and friendly setting.
 

With significant grant investment from the Church of England, we are now setting up a Pioneering Project to develop these pathways, with new innovative spaces being added along the way.  We will then train and support other Estate partner churches across the Southwark Diocese to try out our approach, contextualising our models of mission to their communities if appropriate. This is a really exciting project that will make a huge positive difference to individuals and communities. As such, we are looking for an experienced Project Director to drive forward this project and oversee the team that will be recruited.  

This role is vital to ensure we deliver on the agreed outcomes of the project over 5 years, which will involve:

• recruiting and managing the new team members so they can thrive in their roles.
• developing our finance, IT and communications (inc. new website) processes to support the project.

You will have significant experience of managing and delivering successful projects and enjoy juggling multiple elements with proactive problem-solving skills. You will have a good understanding of how to manage budgets. 

You will work from our office in Wallington (SM6 9AA) at least 4 days per week and from home. We are looking for someone who ideally would join our congregation, so the role would best suit someone who lives within reasonable travelling distance of Wallington
