About Us:
ARB was established by an Act of Parliament – the Architects Act 1997 (the “Act”) – and is the statutory regulator of architects in the UK.
ARB’s statutory responsibilities are contained in the Act, and cover six main areas:
- Prescribing the qualifications needed to become an architect in the UK
- Keeping the UK Register of Architects
- Ensuring that architects meet our standards for conduct and practice
- Investigating complaints about an architect’s conduct or competence
- Making sure that only people on our register offer their services as an architect
- Acting as the UK’s competent authority for architects
Role Description:
The Registration Department is a close-knit team who manage our external clientele providing them with professional advice on the different aspects of registration.
From onboarding of newly qualified architects from the UK, EU or around the world to managing the assessment of competency where a person has been off the Register for more than two years and more.
Within this role, you will be supported and encouraged to use a proactive approach in delivering effective administrative processes and top tier customer service to all clients. This role needs someone with a meticulous eye for detail and organisational skills, who is a team player.

Blue Marine Foundation seeks to protect and restore life in the ocean, aiming to see at least 30 per cent of the world’s oceans protected by 2030. We are a London-based NGO, with around 50 projects in 25 countries around the world.
Blue Marine is seeking a campaigner to join our policy and media team. This new position will report to the Director of Ocean and Climate. The responsibilities will be to manage a discreet, one year, global marine conservation campaign. This will include managing relationships between the campaign team, NGO partners, influencers and political stakeholders.

Role and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Ocean and Climate, you will:

Personal specification
This role concerns a discreet one year (initially) political campaign. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional campaigner, with a track record of achieving impact for the marine environment. They will already be gaining momentum in the sector, with the ability to implement campaigns, understanding the complex political dynamics that go into ocean governance. Experience in the southern ocean, central and south America and at international ocean fora will all be beneficial to the role. An eye for technical detail, organisational rigour when it comes to delivery against workplans and the stamina and temerity to see campaigns through to their conclusion will all be useful in this role.

Role Requirements
Site wide general housekeeping service – ensure that the housekeeping services is of an acceptable level and is consistent across site.
- Carry out a cleaning service in allocated buildings/rooms/areas ensuring that daily tasks are completed according to the standard operating procedures in relation to the cleanliness/hygiene standards.
- Follow infection control procedures whenever carrying out duties and ensure procedures are followed should there be an infection control outbreak.
- Liaise with the Housekeeping Supervisor and House Staff on a daily basis – carrying out special requests in relation to Housekeeping.
- Ensure safe storage of cleaning materials and equipment and sufficient stock is maintained – informing the Housekeeping Supervisor of stock requiring ordering.
- Assist in the cleaning of communal areas on a daily basis and cleaning of carpets, curtains and high dusting on a rotating schedule.
- Ensure that any repairs required to fixtures and fittings are reported to the designated Facilities Helpdesk as soon as possible and any issues are reported to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Assist in routine housekeeping audits as outlined in the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure any works are to agreed service levels.
- Prioritise work to complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Assist other members of the Site Services and Facilities teams as required.
- Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

The Student Voice Facilitator will work within the Student Voice team to develop and deliver innovative representation practices, ensuring our members can exercise their student voice and influence university decision-making. The Financial Controller will work closely with the Finance Director in the delivery of the organisation’s financial objectives and is expected to contribute to the financial culture, strategy and development of the organisation. The Financial Controller will oversee the management of the Group’s statutory accounts and the processes, policies and procedures that underpin CARE International’s financial control framework. This role will be responsible for taking the lead in ongoing financial improvement work, bringing professional financial leadership to the Financial Accounts Team and the wider organisation.

Key areas of responsibility:
- Management and operation of financial control framework including maintenance of the policies and procedures that support its effective operation

- Producing the annual statutory accounts and leading the statutory audit process for the CIUK Group (comprising the UK charity and its trading subsidiary)
- Managing efficient and effective treasury management including robust and timely cash flow forecasting
- Supervising the controls and processes that support effective management of the balance sheet including balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing good quality accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Managing tax for the charity and trading subsidiary including VAT returns and Gift Aid
- Providing financial accounting advice to colleagues across the organisation in line with the requirement of the Charity SORP

- Someone with experience of producing year end statutory accounts in Charities SORP format, preparing and adhering to year end timelines and being a key point of contact for auditors

The Senior Legal Advisor will be required to review the tenders and contract terms in relation to the majority of PS contracts , some of which are multi million pound framework agreements, and put in place Direct Funding Contracts. In relation to Housing arrangements, the candidate will review and advise on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Housing Management Agreements (HMAs) with Housing Associations and other Housing Providers.
Qualifications required:
For this role you would need to be a Solicitor or Barrister qualified to practise in England (or comparable jurisdiction) preferably holding a practising certificate. Previous in-house experience would be viewed positively.

6. To provide practical and emotional support to families or advocacy and signposting to specialist and universal services where appropriate.
