The team is looking for someone to join as a Legacy & In Memory Fundraising Assistant. As part of this role, you will provide care and cultivation of In Memory donors, Legacy pledgers and enquirers by acting as first point of contact for these supporters and delivering ongoing one-to-one stewardship across various touchpoints. As part of the Legacy & In Memory Fundraising Team, you will contribute to achieving the team's aims and objectives through undertaking key administrative tasks and assisting with the delivery of the team’s projects including marketing campaigns, supporter events and internal promotion of messages to a range of audiences and stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you should have excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate with a range of internal and external audiences, a high standard of computer literacy, and a passion for delivering excellent supporter care.

Our Governance Coordinator is the key point of contact for all External Speaker bookings by KCLSU student societies and activity groups.
Responsibilities include:
- Complete initial checks, and any required risk assessments, for all external speaker bookings, against the trigger criteria within the policy.
- Coordinate mitigations such as chairing training for events that are high risk.
- Liaise with Kings to enable student groups with external speakers to book rooms for events.

JOB SUMMARY
The Trusts Manager will be a driven individual with a background in securing five-, six-, and seven-figure gifts from charitable funders, corporate organisations, and/or Major Donors. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a diverse pool of Trusts and Foundations, both existing and prospective, to maximise philanthropic support across the RUH.
In this role, you will be pivotal in our Development Team, directly reporting to the Head of Development. Here, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the UK's most prominent Trusts and Foundations. Your objective will be to achieve targets by proactively identifying and cultivating relationships with Trusts and Foundations and writing compelling grant applications for our key projects (medical research, patient and staff support, capital campaigns, medical equipment, and 'the area of greatest need.'
The ideal candidate will be adept at nurturing lasting relationships with funders, working towards a team income target of over £1.5m. You will also be a confident stakeholder manager, working closely with clinicians, researchers, and senior leaders to identify some of the key RUH funding areas that can deliver impact.
Central to your success will be your ability to articulate compelling cases for support verbally and in writing, translating complex information into persuasive appeals and grant applications. You will have a proven track record of demonstrating initiative in seizing fundraising opportunities and championing the endeavours of Trusts and Foundations. Your role will secure significant contributions for transformative projects and cultivate a culture of donor-centric giving, fostering long-term partnerships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development- The post holder will manage Trust and Foundation income and secure an annual income of £500k+ towards the total Development team target of £1.5m. The Trusts Manager will manage a portfolio of major gifts prospects and will be responsible for the cultivation and stewardship of, five, six and seven figures gifts.
- Management—Responsible for managing an established prospect pool and identifying new donors while effectively reporting against income projections. Demonstrate potential for line management capabilities, with the opportunity for supervisory responsibilities as the role grows.
- Governance and Compliance- ensuring philanthropic giving complies with all fundraising regulatory and legal obligations, including GDPR, The Fundraising Regulator and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
- Financial & Risk Management—Working with the Head of Development, the post holder is responsible for managing Trust and Foundation income and expenditures to meet an individual target.
- External Relations and Communications- working with the Head of Development and the Marketing & Communications Team, supporting corporate communications, public relations, and brand consistency in relation to Trust and Foundation giving.

The ultimate aim of the Manager’s job is to manage staff, volunteers and available resources to the optimum benefit of SCT, terms of both income and the mission of the Charity in supporting people in recovery from addition, achieved through:
Charity retail management (60%)
- Ensuring the safe and profitable running of the shop leading a team of staff and volunteers to motivate them to deliver exceptional customer service to customers and donors; recruiting, training and managing and team according to SCT’s values, policies and procedures.
- Maximising sales, engagement and impact to achieve set targets to raise Unrestricted Income for charitable objectives by contributing surplus of in excess of £100,000 per annum.
- Establishing and maintaining effective retail processes and merchandising standards to industry standards of best practice.
- Maintaining effective stock management.

- Ongoing development of SCT’s community shop as a place of welcome, community connection and engagement.
- Ensuring that the community shop is a safe and supportive space for everyone, working closely with SCT’s Community Recovery Team to help individuals access specialist support where relevant.
- Developing a programme of onsite small-scale community activities drawing on the expertise of SCT’s community tutors, local community and SCT’s wider recovery community in their design and delivery.
- Building and developing relationships with local community agencies, with the support of SCT’s Community Recovery Team, to promote opportunities to support those vulnerable to addiction and/or homelessness.
Continuous improvement#
- Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of the work of SCT.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Philanthropy Manager will be a driven individual with a background in securing five-, six-, and sevenfigure gifts from charitable funders, corporate organisations, and/or Major Donors. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a diverse pool of Major Donors, both existing and prospective, to maximise philanthropic support across the RUH.
In thisrole, you will be pivotal in our Development Team, directly reporting to the Head of Development. Here, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the UK's most prominent philanthropists. Your objective will be to achieve targets by proactively identifying and cultivating relationships with major donors and channelling their interests towards our key projects (medical research, patient and staff support, capital campaigns, medical equipment, and 'the area of greatest need.'
The ideal candidate will be adept at nurturing lasting relationships with funders, working towards a team income target of over £1.5m. You will also be a confident stakeholder manager, working closely with clinicians, researchers, and senior leaders to identify some of the key RUH funding areas that can deliver impact.
Central to your success will be your ability to articulate compelling cases for support verbally and in writing, translating complex information into persuasive appeals. You will have a proven track record of demonstrating initiative in seizing fundraising opportunities and championing philanthropic endeavours. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development- The post holder will manage philanthropic income and secure an annual income of £500k+ towards the total Development team target of £1.5m. The Philanthropy Manager will manage a portfolio of major gifts prospects and will be responsible for the cultivation and stewardship of, five, six and seven figures gifts.
- Management—Responsible for managing an established prospect pool and identifying new donors while effectively reporting against income projections. Demonstrate potential for line management capabilities, with the opportunity for supervisory responsibilities as the role grows.

JOB SUMMARY
The Head of Development will be a dynamic leader within the RUH and a charismatic ambassador externally. Responsible for leading the Development Team across all funding streams and personally managing a select portfolio of major gift prospects, the role will transform our approach to fundraising and philanthropy, delivering against demanding targets and key projects (research, patient & staff support, capital campaigns, medical equipment and ‘where the need is greatest’). This is an exciting opportunity to help lead, grow and re-shape the Development Team and is a pivotal role within the SLT, reporting directly to the Head of RUHX.

Overview of Role:
As Human Resources Advisor you will be joining a small, friendly and supportive HR team providing advice and support to managers and staff across the full range of employee life-cycle activities. This is a maternity cover post, so is offered on a fixed term contract for 12 months. As this is a short-term contract, we are looking for someone with HR experience at this level who can also embody our culture as a charity with a Christian ethos.
You will provide HR advice and support, to our Centres of Mission (CoM) (which are local projects run in partnership with Diocese to share the Good News of Jesus); our central services team in Sheffield known as Co.Lab; and our Sheffield based conference centre and accommodation.
The HR Advisor will play a key role in developing and strengthening the relationship between the staff, line managers and HR and ensure we deliver an effective HR service which is aligned with the service to the wider organisation. The post holder will work closely with managers in making sure the Christian ethos and values of Church Army are part of their culture and practice as line managers.
This role suits someone who is a HR generalist with strong knowledge of key HR practices including recruitment and retention, employee relations and development and training. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working in HR and hold a related qualification such as CIPD. As the role will be the link between HR, CoMs and our Co.Lab team, the post holder will play a key part in ensuring the vision, values and ethos of Church Army are evident. They will have a proven track record of developing marketing campaigns for health professional and consumer audiences, collaborating with creative specialists and deploying and optimising a range of cost effective marketing methods. Their understanding of good practice in developing evidence-based health information will enable them to support accurate and engaging communication across digital and print.
