The Head of Fundraising will play a crucial role in driving this expansion by developing and implementing strategic fundraising initiatives, expanding our network of supporters, and ensuring the sustainability of our programs. Important details

Jangala’s office is based in London and operates a remote-first working policy. Travel to our London office will be required for mind-mapping and collaborative work at least once a week.

The starting salary for this role is £48,000-£55,000 per annum, with consideration for part-time arrangements.

Key Details

Salary: £39,6000 per annum with generous benefits including 25 days annual holiday plus public holidays, enhanced pension contribution, private medical health insurance, life assurance, and flexible/hybrid working.

Hours: 35 per week over 5 days (we would also consider applicants who wanted to do 4 days a week on a pro-rata basis). 

Contract type: This is a full time role. Some flexibility on hours may be available.

Purpose of the role:

We are looking for 2 Mental Health Personal Independence Co-ordinator’s to join our team.

The Mental Health Personal Independence Co-ordinator (MHPIC) will work as part of the MHPIC team and will work alongside clinical and social care professionals in local multi-disciplinary teams assigned to specific GP surgeries. Each MHPIC will be assigned to a specific locality located within the Integrated Care Network Plus health and social care systems in either North, Central or South Croydon. The multi-disciplinary team learning and development during the initial two-year test period will inform the development and growth of the MHPIC team to ensure that it can support community-based mental health and wellbeing across the whole population and in all 6 Integrated Care Network Plus localities.

MHPICs will provide initial contact and assessment conversations with clients using Open Dialogue tools and techniques to enable people to develop their own Personal Recovery Plans and supporting them directly over a period of time to find and access the support and services available to them in their local community.

Each MHPIC will be the direct named key worker for a set number of people who are referred to the service by healthcare professionals, including GPs, Mental Health Practitioners & Health Care Assistants, Social Prescribers and other voluntary or community sector organisations. They will provide one-to-one support in the achievement of an individual’s recovery goals, ensuring that support is person- centred; that needs and wishes are identified by people themselves; that they have a stronger voice in relation to issues that affect their lives; and that they are supported and empowered to improve and/or maintain their mental health and wellbeing and to live their best independent lives. 

Support in the community includes home visits. The aim of home visits is to assess clients' strengths and needs and link these to agency and community resources, and to ensure that individual clients’ needs can be met within a risk-assessed policy approach.

Part 1: Role Purpose:

This role is a great introduction to the world of charity finance as a key member of the busy HQ finance function. The role is primarily focused on HQ finances and will also work with colleagues across our global finance team. The role focuses on accounts payable and as the finance assistant develops in the role will offer the chance to work across a number of finance functions, including: treasury, accounts receivable, month end close, management accounting, supporting year end audit. This role provides a great opportunity to experience the full breadth of finance work in a charity across all functions in a varied and interesting role, learning quickly and making a real difference from day one.

Part 2: Key Responsibilities:

1) (60%) Accounts Payable

• Recording all approved supplier invoices, requisitions, staff expenses and other expenditure in the accounting system ensuring that they are all appropriately coded including the correct cost centre, GL code, projects and donor codes.
• Ensure that all supporting documentation for all transactions are uploaded into the finance system.
• Ensuring that all invoices for payment are appropriately approved by budget holder.
• Running short term cash flow forecasting and recommending bank account transfers including moving cash held in reserve into current access accounts. Looking for value for money in Foreign Currency transfers by choosing the best means of payment from available payment platforms.
• Ensure timely payment of all invoices by managing at least two payment runs a week and additional runs as required; setting up payments on online banking platforms and sending out requests for payment approvals to payment authorisers and verifying that all payments are fully approved by the deadline set.
• Once the payment is made, allocating the payment against the invoices in the Finance system and reviewing to ensure that all payments are allocated correctly.
• Reviewing staff expense claims to ensure that all supporting documentation is provided before payment.
• Supporting monthly staff credit card reconciliations to run the monthly statements.
• Monthly creditor account reconciliations to ensure correct allocation of payments to supplier accounts and validating any open account balances.
• Any other responsibilities relating to Accounts Payable.

2) (20%) Month end support and general support

• Complete bank reconciliations each month for all group bank accounts.
• Uploading monthly exchange rates to the Finance System
• Ensuring supporting information for transactions is correctly stored in electronic format on Teams such as bank statements, remittance advices, credit statements.
• Assist in preparation of internal reports.
• Assisting with compilation of information for Gift Aid returns.
• General support and assistance to the team including administrative duties and managing the office post.
• Other ad hoc support to the wider operations team as may be required.

3) (20%) Accounts Receivable

• Supporting with work on accounts receivable including accessing, downloading and saving in a systematic manner reports from donor portals, bank account and other sources.

Job Summary

CAAS provide an ADHD and Autism Support Service for the 8 boroughs of NW London, from our base in Eastcote, with a team of Support Workers.  Our work includes offering information, advice, and support to ADHD / autistic people, their families, and professionals in NW London, with the aim of improving quality of life and developing neurodiverse-aware communities.  Some of the support is offered through one2one meetings, some of the support is provided through groups and courses which aim to increase understanding and awareness, and provide opportunities for peer support, and some of the support is offered through training and workshops to educate professionals and drive for accommodations to be made to services to allow greater access for our client group.

The Family Team Lead will assist the Family Service Manager in overseeing the operational running and leadership and management of our Family Team at our centre in Eastcote.

The Family Team Lead will be responsible for the line management of some of our Family Support Workers, as well as the direct delivery of services, including being the lead facilitator on some of our parenting courses.  As such, we are looking for a friendly, organised and hard-working individual. The role requires strong administrative skills, excellent communication skills and a drive to ensure everyone who seeks support from us has the best possible experience. If you’re passionate about supporting neurodivergent people and their families, then this is an ideal opportunity for you.

There is no requirement for any experience of, or understanding of, autism / ADHD, as we will provide training on the conditions.  This role will best suit someone who is very organised, who is able to task switch easily between line management, project management, client facing support work, group facilitation, course content creation and strategic and operational planning activities, and who is able to interact with a high number of clients and staff each week in order to ensure the sufficient number of appointments are provided to meet our funder requirements. 

The ideal candidate will possess experience working with vulnerable individuals and demonstrate confidence, composure during crises, quick thinking, and adaptability. A genuine acceptance of diversity and a keenness to learn are essential.

We are seeking a Peer Mentoring Coordinator to develop and manage our new LGBTQIA+ Peer Mentoring Programme, training and supporting Project Indigo members to train as mentors and deliver mentoring sessions with younger LGBTQIA+ people in the local community.  You will enrich Project Indigo’s holistic offer by providing young people with the opportunity to access training, qualifications and work experience while receiving high quality support tailored to their needs.

Ways of Working:

The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter).  This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building.

We are looking for a new team member to cover a period of maternity leave for a 12-month period. As National Press Officer, you will be working as part of a busy and prolific Press team, reporting into the National Media Manager.

• Working hours: 21 hours per week.
• Hybrid role: Your base will be at Home and your nearest hub. Our hubs are in Horsham (West Sussex), (Blackfriars), London or Cardiff (South Wales). You will be expected to travel to various locations for interviews, filming, meetings and events as and when required.

What a day might look like for you

Here at RSPCA we know it's a cliche but no two days are the same. We've added a short summary of what a typical day might look like, for a full insight please refer to the attached job description.

Tasks:

• Write and research press releases, statements for journalists, Q&As and other output on a wealth of animal welfare topics; ensuring these are in line with RSPCA policies.
• Respond quickly and effectively to queries from the media on the work, policies and campaigns of the RSPCA by writing statements and following the sign off procedure.
• Be a national and local spokesperson on general and speciality animal welfare issues, undertaking radio/TV interviews as required.
• Respond reactively to local and national journalists calls, emails and enquiries.
• Gather and generate news stories from across the organisation - on a variety of topics, including RSPCA campaigns, pets up for rehoming, statistical trends, education and more.
• Promote the RSPCA's frontline, campaigns and policy work, by devising communications plans and formulating ideas for press releases, media launches and other tools to engage with journalists.
• Analyse and report on the impact of RSPCA press output - both in terms of media coverage gained; traction with key target media; but also its wider impact in supporting the organisational objectives and new RSPCA Strategy.
• Develop and formulate relationships with key media outlets and journalists, including the successful pitching of stories.
• Initiate and maintain contacts with all relevant journalists, broadcasters and PR agencies, internal departments and other departments.
• Collate and analyse key RSPCA and animal welfare statistics.
• Brief RSPCA spokespeople before media appearances and interviews; preparing them appropriately and in line with the charity's policies and strategy.
• Monitor the media landscape as it relates to the RSPCA, animal welfare and the third sector; and produce reports as required in relation to coverage.
• Write copy on RSPCA court stories, utilising a knowledge of media law and court reporting to ensure output adheres to legal requirements and RSPCA processes. 
• Writing for and adding content to the RSPCA website; and working closely with the RSPCA's social media, broadcast, web and other comms-focussed teams to communicate key messages to supporters and the wider public. 

What makes a great National Press Officer?

You'll have:

• Previous experience working either as a journalist, a press officer or in a PR/comms environment, combined with the ability to build good working relationships both within and outside of the organisation.
• Ability to deliver to deadlines, working off your own initiative.
• A proactive and independent approach to work and newsgathering.
• Either an NCTJ qualification - which includes the modules of media law and court reporting; a relevant PR or Communications qualification, or demonstrable relevant experience.
• Good working knowledge of Google applications/Word and typing skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel to RSPCA locations and events, if necessary.
• Ability to prioritise own workload and take a flexible approach to work duties.
• Willingness to work occasional unsociable hours.

Successful candidates for certain RSPCA roles will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
